HTC EVO 4G :: Bluetooth Not Coonecting

Sep 22, 2010

What's up guys. I have been having problems with keeping my Bluetooth connected to my Evo. I'm not sure if its the head set or the phone itself. I connect the Bluetooth and it works for a while then it goes back to the handset but shows the connection is still there. Has anyone heard of Bluetooth problems on the Evo? I'm running the 2.2 update. I have a Motorola HK201 Bluetooth

Sprint HTC Hero :: Accidently Removed Bluetooth Software That Allows To Connect Stereo Bluetooth Headsets

Mar 13, 2010

I was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.

I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.

Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?

Basically i have got the bluetooth on for both phones, the desire is set to be discoverable and i try to send the contacts via bluetooth on the SE. I get the whole passcode and accept the file which i have done, but then it says again about accepting the file. Ive tried it a few times and i have 3 bluetooth icons at the top of my screen now which i imagine are for transferring files which need accepting. Is there anywhere i can to accept them or close them down?

Android :: How To Run Bluetooth Pen?

Nov 10, 2010

I have a Fascinate. A lot of my colleges are starting to use iPad tablets to take notes in them with a stylus in lieu of paper. I have also seen pens out there that record pen strokes as you write on paper and will show it on your PC once you sync it later. I was hoping that there is a Bluetooth pen that I could connect with my Fascinate and have an application running on the phone that would record the pen strokes in the app whether I'm writing on a piece of paper, or on the desk, or where ever... I know the screen would be too small to actually write on the phone but I would think the technology exists to record pen strokes in an app. It would be nice to have one very portable device that could take notes in and have the ability to email it from the phone or sync it to my PC and print/email from there if needed. We have been moving all of our filing to PDFs to save on paper and this would just be another digital move and a way to back up all of the paper notes that we take in internal meetings, etc.

HTC EVO 4G :: Bluetooth A2DP

Jun 1, 2010

It looks like A2DP Stereo Bluetooth support is a recent addition.

Would you folks that know about it expect this to work in the Evo?

I've tried pairing with my Jabra BT620s headphones, with no luck. One time I got the remote control to pause & un-pause the song, but I've never gotten the audio redirected, nor the volume control to work.

Shoud this be in 2.1? Froyo?

HTC EVO 4G :: Bluetooth Since Update To 2.2 (.3)

Aug 5, 2010

Has anyone noticed a change in the bluetooth profiles or support for such since the update to 2.2? Before my Moto S9HD headset would control the media player, allowing me to advance tracks, pause/play and such. It (at the time) wouldnt initiate calls but could pick them up.Well flash forward to 2.2(.3) and I can no longer control the media player via my headset. I can listen to music and now I get the prompt when I hit the call button for voice dial but now my fast forward and play/pause controls are gone.Even tried re-pairing the headphone. Is there another setting/control I need to set (noticed a few things moved in 2.2) or am I stuck until an update?

HTC EVO 4G :: Bluetooth Tethering

Jul 13, 2010

I am having trouble tethering my phone to my computer via pdaNet and bluetooth (USB works fine). I've seen several threads and tried a lot of things, but nothing seems to solve my problem. I have tried under Mac OS X and Win XP...

Under Mac OS X, it detects my phone and pairs successfully. It gets to the point where it says "Select the services you want to use with your mobile phone" and I check "Access the Internet with your phone's data connection." When I hit continue, it say "Configuring services..." forever, and it never connects.

Under Win XP (same machine), in my Network Settings, I tried to search for my phone and it doesn't find my device. Alternatively, if I go to Control Panel -> Bluetooth, it will pair. However I then go to Properties, Services and check "Dial-Up Networking", hit OK, and it says "The parameter is incorrect"

So basically the problem is that although my phone and computer can see each other via bluetooth, the DUN service from my phone isn't recognized by my computer. I have tried this with another computer as well, with no luck. Is there a setting on my phone that I need to change in order to get this working?

HTC EVO 4G :: Bluetooth Pin Entry

Aug 6, 2010

I have the official Android 2.2 on my phone from Sprint. Today I tried to pair it with my car's handsfree. The two (car and EVO) can see each other and it works fine until it gets to the point where I have to enter the pin number. A window pops up on the phone for the pin but when I tap the digits on the keypad, they don't enter into the pin field no matter how hard I try. This happened after the 2.2 upgrade. I have also rebooted the phone but no change.

Two days ago I got the Evo and now I can't get my headset to work with any apps. The only thing they are good for is talking on the phone but I can't get them to work with any media players. I hope I'm just a newb who is just doing something wrong.

HTC EVO 4G :: Bluetooth Pairing To BMW

Jun 8, 2010

Has anyone been able to get their EVO 4G to pair to a BMW? I have a 2008 and cannot get it to pair to my G1.

The problem is Google's implementation of Bluetooth. the G1 just has OS 1.6, but I believe the problem has still not been completely fixed in 2.1.

Here's a link to the Google code issue:

Issue 3960 - android - Bluetooth issues with car systems in Android 1.5 / 1.6 - Project Hosting on Google Code

I am hesitant to give up my $30/month SERO plan for an EVO particularly if I cannot get it to do hands free. Heck even Microsoft can get their phones to pair.

The first week I had my phone I had to take it to a Sprint store to get it straightened out. The other issue I am having is that I cannot get my phone to sync contacts with my Tundra. Had no issues with my HTC Touch Pro. Now it just says that it cannot sync (truck is in the shop or I would get the actual message).

HTC EVO 4G :: Streaming Music To Bluetooth

Jul 14, 2010

I like to listen to live streaming radio (shoutcast) using different apps available. I want to know how I can make a bluetooth connection to my car bt system. I remember I did it once to my bt headset with my Hero but I don't remember how I did it. Also, a few times, my ringtone and keyboard clicks(with Hero) played through my car bt system but I have no idea how it happened. I didn't try to connect it. It just happened on it's own. If I remember correctly, to hook the streaming music to a bt headset you had to dial a pause (P) or dial ## and send it. The phone would make a connection and hang up right away. After that you were linked to the bt. But after the Hero update, that method didn't work anymore, the call would go through and you get a message saying "Can't be completed as dialed". So does anyone know a way of doing this with the Evo?

HTC EVO 4G :: Wifi Tether Using Bluetooth

Nov 19, 2010

I have an evo4g and rooted it. I run 2.2 and a month old version of fresh or so.Anyway, just got a usb dongle at newegg for $7. I plugged it in and it connected my phone flawlessly for audio. Basically for audio all I do is toggle bluetooth on on the phone, then.. hit play and music is coming thru my computer speakers. That said - I can't seem to connect for bluetooth wifi. Is there a different driver for the phone that I need to d/l somewhere? Going to the windows 7 (I run win 7 ultimate) it says about my phone under the services tab:
BRCM Advanced Audio
Handsfree Telephony Gateway
Object Push (Obex)
This leads me to believe I need a different driver perhaps? When I go to "Join a Personal Area Network" there are no devices listed. I try to add device but it doesn't find my phone.I know this is kinda complicated so if you dont understand my problem please ask for a clarification.
