Sep 12, 2012We are developing an Android application will connect to Oracle DB. I have problem with JDBC library dependencies.
I always get (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver) error, this happened when the Class.forName ("oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver") didn't find the JDBC library. At my case I double checked that my ojdbc6.jar library is existed correctly at build path.
Is there any farther configuration I've missed ? Regarding libraries dependencies, is there any difference at development between J2SE and Android application ?
IDE: Eclipse SDK 4.2 with Android
Android target platform: 2.3.3

Oct 5, 2010We have a website that makes use of OAM for single sign on (form-based authentication). When we submit credentials to WebGate / Access Server the authorization succeeds, however after the authentication is performed, the form action (as configured in the Authentication Scheme - with passthrough:no) returns a server error instead of redirecting to the originally requested URL.
If we use Mini Opera, we are able to get authenticated and forwarded properly.
This problem happens on numerous Android phones (versions ranging from 1.5-2.2), as well as the Emulator provided with the SDK.
This is proving to be a real problem as the default browser on Android phones is not able to get access to our sites(and this is the only browser that is having this problem).
I have created a WebView-based custom browser with the hope of seeing a client-side error and tried trapping every possible error....none show up....
I have tried to trace all of the http requests and found only a single difference in the requests... the http header for Connection:keep- alive is not sent by the Android WebView.

Nov 26, 2010I have a n HTC EVO and a really nice car stereo system. I have a 3.5mm headphone jack coming from my stereo that I use to plug in MP3 devices, phones, etc.
The problem I am facing with the EVO is that it seems to think that when the headphone jack is plugged in the microphone on the EVO shouldn't work.
I would imagine this is because most of the time when you plug in a headphone jack it expects th what ever is on the other end to have a microphone. In this case, there isn't. I would like to be able to talk on the phone in my car while hearing through my car stereo speakers. Everything works great except whoever is on the other end of the line can't hear me cause when the headphone is plugged in it doesn't use the EVO's microphone.
Does any one know how to override or fix this behavior?

I have even used the debugging feature on the phone and this seamed to work, but it seams the problem has come back where it intermittently disconnects.Does anyone else have a Mac & the Evo? Jul 13, 2010I have upgraded my phone from iPhone 3G to HTC Desire and swapped my existing 3G SIM into the Desire. I can't, however get my Desire to say it is on the 3G network, i only get a G or H in the notification bar.
I have even had O2 send me and connect a new 3G SIM but still no 3G. I am sure i'm in a 3G area as my old phone rolled with 3G where i am. Have i just not swithed it on?

May 14, 2010with my current iPhone, I have a car dock from ProClip that has an iPod dock connector on the bottom. This allows me to both charge and get a line-out from the phone by simply sliding it into the holder. I use my iPhone with Pandora as my primary car radio through the Aux input on my stereo. if something like this will be possible with the Evo? It would be nice to only have to connect one cable and be able to get audio and charging at the same time. Bluetooth might be an option but it's kind of ungainly and I'd have to buy some kind of Bluetooth receiver for the stereo.

Nov 16, 2010I'm having an issue with my new Desire HD in that it won't connect to my home Wifi. It can find the network no problem and select it, but after I type in the password it says "Disconnected" then seems to go through Disconnected-Scanning-Connecting-Disconnected loop without letting me know whats happening. Initially I thought to myself "Perhaps it doesn't like WPA2", so I completely opened up the network. Then after scanning, it was showing on the phone that the network was still WPA/WPA2. I tried connecting to it anyways but it still asked me for a password and wouldn't let me through without one. Thinking something funky must have happened, I restarted the phone but it didn't change anything.

I just got the HTC Evo 4G yesterday and rooted it using the Unrevoked method (not sure if there is another). I then downloaded the Wireless Tether for root users. For some reason i cant get anthing to recognize it. I've tried looking for the signal with my ipod and laptop but nothing! What setting needs to be changed? Dec 18, 2009I'm having trouble connecting my tattoo to my home Wifi. I have seen similar posts to this one, but as of yet, no resolution.
I can connect to my Wifi at my uni address with no problems, so it is obviously a fault with the wireless rather than the phone.
The phone asks for the WEP password which I put in correctly, it then says "obtaining IP address" only to return with 'unsuccessful' or 'disconnected' - which may indicate that there is some security that is stopping the phone connecting?
HTC Incredible :: Connecting Bluetooth
Jun 1, 2010I have a set of "Anycom" stereo Bluetooth headphones, and when I try to connect them to my Incredible, the "pair" right away and the Inc recognizes them for what they are. The problem is all I get is a "Paired but not connected" message, under my Bluetooth settings. I hit "connect" and it does momentarily, then it goes back to that same message. I'm not getting the prompt for the "0000" pin input, which I think may be the problem as the headphones may be waiting for that to be inputted.
