View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had a lot of smart phones but never used bluetooth headsets and have a few questions. Can you get a bluetooth earpiece for answering phone calls that lets you answer from the headset once paired?
Do all the earpieces support streaming or playing music/sprint tv audio/Google listen? Are they all mono or do some single earpieces have stereo? Is there an industry standard for noise reduction that I should look for in the feature list? Any other tips if I just want to buy one and be satisfied its the right one?
I was quite excited to have flash on my mobile devise and as I have an unlimited subscription to Lovefilm I was looking forward to watching the on demand movies for free. But I was disappointed when I was met by the message "does not support this type of flash". Is there an update or an app I can use? Lovefilm uses Flash Player 10.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm new here and I know you probably don't know anything about the Arabic Language Support, but I thought I might ask the experts. I downloaded something called "Arabic Android" and after flashing it, the Hero hanged in the boot screen and I had to spend over 3 hours to get back as no re-flashing or Nandroid restoring worked. Anyway, if there is a trusted way to add the Ararbic support, I would be more than grateful to have it as many of my friends send me Arabic SMS, emails, tweets and Facebook messages.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just want to know if I am having a problem or if their Hero does not support this feature? My BT works fine for everything else I have tried but will not let me listen to VVM playback.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs this a hard or soft limitation? Will the new roms support all bluetooth profiles? Also, is there any way to pipe my music to my Jawbone 2?I know my previous 8525 winmo I had to load a app to pipe sounds to the headset.

1] I presume Flash Lite is shipped & working with the Legend...?
2] Any news on 'full fat' Flash 10.1 support? Adobe seem [?] to suggest a snapdragon processor is required, is this still the case?
Will we ever see Flash 10.1 on the Legend?
I have rooted 2.1 on my Sprint Hero. So far I have tried Fresh 2.3.3, Darchdroid 2.7 and PureHero 2.3.I rooted for several issues, most of which have been solved, but my number one issue seems to still be haunting me. Good corporate exchange support! Sense based ROM's (Fresh 2.3.3 and stock) support Exchanges security policy and force you to enter a PIN, but bring up the keyboard. My company requires number in the PIN and therefore I have to switch to numbers and enter my pin on a keyboard. I can no longer chew gum and use my phone at the same time. Nonsense based ROM's (Darch and Pure) don't require the PIN and allow me to use a pattern security on my phone, but they don't let me overlay my exchange calendar onto my phone with my google calendar. They only sync mail and contacts. Hope this is where I am missing something. This is a deal breaker for me since I have google calendars for everyone in my family and exchange for work. Got to see them all in one place to be where I need to be.I have tried Lockpicker on the sense ROM's, but then I have no phone security. I have too much info on my phone to go with no security, but I don't want to quit chewing gum.Any suggestions? Is there ways to pick and choose some of the features in sense?
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor fear of sounding like a dope I'm going to ask. I was able to do the root because I was able to follow the step by step. I can't seem to find any step by steps on flashing a new Rom. I don't understand what making a nandroid means. I feel like a total Goober asking but if I eont figure anymore I really wasted my time going thru the root process.
View 8 Replies View RelatedTried to look it up but couldn't find an answer. Was just wondering why I would want to flash the 1.5.2 recovery instead of continuing to use the 1.2.3 image I already have.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I just flashed the new Damage Control ROM (2.08) on my Sprint HTC Hero, and I wanted to flash the .zip file for live wallpapers.....how do I do this? Am I supposed to rename it as update.zip or something and put it on my sd card? and then what...?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm wanting to flash back to 2.0d but didn't save my nandroid for that particular ROM. I'm currently running 2.1.1, and have been for some time now. While I like 2.1.1, 2.0d just seemed to run better for me. My question is do I need to wipe before I flash or can I just flash 2.0d over 2.1.1? I didn't wipe when going from 2.0d to 2.1.1 and everything worked fine but I wasn't sure if I could do the same thing going the other way.
View 4 Replies View RelatedNot sure if its just me, but flash content doesn't show up when browsing. Is there a setting that needs to be turned on or off? If there is an update, how do i do so? For example adobe home page On side note: when I hit the pre installed google bookmark it brings me to a French version. I edited that bookmark but I just thought it was funny

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo how exactly do I flash a ROM onto my phone? I rooted my phone using this guide: [GUIDE] How to Root Sprint 2.1 Release for CDMA Hero - xda-developers. It's a Sprint CDMA HTC Hero (duh. ) and running the 2.1 release. I'm very sure I've rooted it correctly; I've successfully tethered my phone for my laptop and iTouch.

View 16 Replies View RelatedIn order to root, I've got to have Flash_image in the system/bin directory. I don't have that file in the directory. I have the flash_image file from the RUU 2.1 leak I installed yesterday, but due to having no root access, I cannot copy the file into the system/bin folder.
I tried rooting and got stuck at flash_image recovery recovery-RA-heroc-v1.5.2.img because it kept saying "flash_image not found"
So my EVO was damaged..well the back-light does not come on anymore(I think due to moisture).I've tried RICE and other Drying technique...no fix So 'm gonna put in a claim.Knowing I will probably not have a phone for a little bit, I bought a used Hero for a backup phone.(It will do for now, got it cheap). It came with the latest .6 Patched rom.I downgraded to .5 and rooted it.What's a good flash rom to try with 2.1 fixes wifi and mostly everything working? As most I wanted my phone a little bit faster/cleaner and more control(why I rooted). I still do like some HTC things but not all of it, can I install some of it back when I flash to a new Rom? I'm sorta new to this and first time Rooting. I'm still not sure how you flash new Rom.

View 24 Replies View RelatedTo use more features in the ROM Manager app I decided to flash the Clockwork recovery image from Rom Manager.I got the message the image had flashed so I tried to restart my phone to make sure it flashed and to make a nandroid with the new image.Phone would not boot into recovery for me.So I pulled the battery (phone was stuck on "HTC" screen), waited 10 seconds, replaced battery and tried starting the phone in regular mode instead of recovery. That worked. So I tried restarting in recovery mode again.Failed again. Figured the problem was in the Clockworkmod recovery image. So I pulled/waited/replaced the battery again and restarted the phone in regular mode.Used the USB to get to my SD card and went into the file for the Clockwork recovery image and deleted it.Then I pasted the 1.6.2 RA back onto my SD card and planned to flash it.
But I have not been able to flash the image because all my phone does now id get to the "HTC" screen and stays there.Nothing else to show it is booting up.Finally pulled my SD card and put it in my card reader on my computer.Pasted the Clockworkmod recovery image back into the correct folder, thinking I might be able to at least get the phone to boot up in regular mode. No luck.Just goes to the "HTC" screen I see every start-up and stays there. So the 1.6.2 RA is on the root of my SD but not flashed. The Clockworkmod image is back in it's folder but not re-flashed.
There is one already installed in Fresh 2.0d. I'm switching back to DamageControl v2.07 and I know there wasn't the launcher in there before. Does anyone know if there is a launcher I can flash onto Damage?
View 2 Replies View RelatedTrying to root for the first time; I ran the one click root app I got from here:
[APP] [ROOT] 1-click root for N1 (Latest ver: 1.6.2 beta 5) - xda-developers
and it said it was successfully rooted. I can execute su from adb shell (and the phone pops up saying that unknown has been granted superuser). But I don't have flash_image in /system/bin so I can't flash a recovery image, and I tried the instructions in the link in this post:
What am I doing wrong: BootLoader/Flash_Image/Recovery Image (basically download the flash_image, mount system as rw, and push it in to /system/bin) but it still doesn't work. The mount seems to work (doesn't give any error messages) but the adb push command gives: failed to copy 'flash_image' to '/system/bin/flash_image': Permission denied
I left my 3GS for the Moment but liked the Hero better when it came down to it, I love it, it's amazing and better imo, etc. Now, when I go to YouTube and click play it plays the video in the fullscreen flash player. It's no big deal, but is there a way to make it play without going fullscreen?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm new to rooting and i just downloaded the fresh 2.4 rom for my cdma hero. do i put whole zip file on card or just the image. and where on the sd card should it go. i have already rooted.
