View 5 RepliesI have noticed a probable gltich in the timescape, excuse me if I had mistaken. I see that all my accounts(face book,Twitter, SMS) are updated correctly but I don't find the call log and my email view of timescape correctly updated. Please help out to get this corrected. PS I am using the 1.6 version of Android.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi was just wondering if anybody knew when AUS was recieving the updates from 1.6, i took the stab at gettng rid of my iphone and instead of going with iphone 4 went with the android x10... but seems to be pretty selective on the updates. just asking myself did i get into android to quickly before it was stablised and sorted? as for iphones barely anybody got the 2g but soon as they released the 3g it was great at the time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am in seattle, washington. when i tried to update OTA, it says i have the latest version 1.6
has anyone in the west coast, united states, tried updating yet?
I just had my updates. However, when i re-download the Handcent SMS, i notice the LED notification is not working like before. I have ensure the LED notification is turned on with a reasonable frequency. Would like to know is it the Application problem? or is it the phone?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an X10 Mini unbranded, bought in Brazil, having the model number E10a, as I guess everyone in America continent has.
My question is: why do Europe get so many firmware updates and we just stay still? I'm saying that because as I was reading many forums about X10 Mini, I constantly seeing firmware updates, maybe I'm wrong, and the FW numbers differs from E10a and E10i.
So, my question is, FW 1.2.A.1.174 for the E10i is the same as 1.1.A.0.9 for the E10a? If they're both the same, no problem, but I don't think they're the same.
The Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro smartphones will all receive software upgrades during their lifecycle to improve performance and add new communication and entertainment experiences. From Q3 2010 onwards, the Xperia™ X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro smartphones will be upgraded to run on the Android 2.1 operating system in selected markets. The Xperia™ X10's position as the best multimedia Android smartphone will be strengthened through the addition of HD video recording as part of the same Q3 upgrade. A further upgrade to the Xperia™ X10 in Q4 will make it possible to connect wirelessly to and display content on your television and enhance the Timescape™ and Mediascape applications..................
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to update a couple of applications that I have on my phone but everytime I try to download anything from marketplace, it just says "starting dowload..." and stays there. The application never actually downloads. I've dowloaded stuff in the past but I can't seem to download now. Is there something that I need to turn on
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Phone works great etc etc BUT I have a tiny problem, I can go out for the day and leave my phone at home, I'll get back and it'll say "11 Updates found" for my applications. Which i'm fine with but, as i'm not connected to a WiFi, it uses my mobile internet to connect and find these "updates" which starts eating my phone credit. I'm tired of leaving it. In a matter of days my phone credit is gone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy initial doubts about the x10 were over its specs, such as no multitouch and an apparently slow sticky interface
Now they are more about Sony Ericsson and how well they will support the phone with software updates etc. Several bad indications:
- Complaints have been made in the past about SE sucking at this for other phones
- Phone was due out Jan 18. Arrived more than 2 months later
- Phone came out with an old o/s (1.6) while other phones came out with 2.1 at the same time.
- SE have said they wont provide an update until the end of the year!! incredibly slow. By then android 2.8 will be out. pathetic
I want to get a well supported phone that is going to improve and evolve.
Is anyone else having an issue with facebook within timescape? When it tries to sync for updates with facebook an error pops up in the notification bar and says "could not update from facebook server unavailable"
The interesting thing is it actually does still update the timescape and can still post updates to FB Tried a factory reset of my phone and the issue is still there
Timescape has auto updating, but it only updates when you manually go in and update it and even then you have to come out of it and go back in before it updates. I remember with the old builds you can set how often it should update, and how often it should check for new mails, can't seem to find those settings any more.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen i update my phone through the update software, i follow all steps correct and after downloading, and installation to the phone till about 99% of progress installation, says always "Failed to install updates" and i remove cable and restart the phone, it installs and customize the system, it says every time updates availble after that..
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone encounter this error message after installing the latest updates on the X2? I've redone it several times and it's the same. Very irritating information pop up box that will stay there smack in the middle of the screen even after clicking the "ok" box. This phone is a real lemon. Can't work well with the blue tooth handsfree car kit HCB150. cannot receive incoming calls. Same with the bluetooth ear piece HBH-IV840.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen using Timescape, getting updates does that count as Internet Usage? Do I turn off the Sync Service to turn off Timescape from updating? I just don't want to go over my limit and realise I have to pay tons for the data usage!?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can i link up facebook, timescape so that it updates/adds photos to my contacts in phonebook via facebook like you can on the htc hd2?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my SE x10 mini pro and today I said that there was some firmware updates for it. Then I updated the phone through PC companion and followed the screen and after a while the phone was updated. But then my problem started, I have some source code / text running in the upper right corner of my phone screen all the time. Every time I'm starting a new program or returning to home screen I can see the commands the phone is giving. How do I get rid of it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhy I'm unable to download updates and new apps etc. Each time it fails it says 'Download unsuccessful' and sometimes 'manual download required' as well. Internet and Wifi are working fine.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi had to turn off the settings for the Mobile Networks MMS and data because it automatically connects to my provider and I am being charged and this usually happens when I touch on Timescape. I just dont know if its connected though but after doing so, after sometime my Messaging system prompts me up a message saying that there was an error (android.system.mms) and it needs to fore close and then after that all of my messages were automatically deleted including the message updates in the splines. I already went to the Service Center and the only thing they told me was it will be okay once I have updated to the new version which is the 2.1.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia X10 Mini Pro on the 02 network and when i'm searching for an update it says my phone has the latest software available does 02 not support updates for this phone or something? Am I stuck with this old software?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link). Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to synchronise my Sony Ericsson X10 with the sony ericsson website, and the instructions say: -
First, you need to select Sony Ericsson as the default sync service:From the Home screen, tap the applications bar.Tap Settings > Data synchronisation > Select sync applicationSelect Sony Ericsson
But when I do this there is no Sony Ericsson option.
I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble setting SE as my default synchronisation thingy. The only options i have are Google or Do not use sync service.
