This problem has only risen after installing the android 2.1 upgrade. i have tried reinstalling the upgrade but the problem has not been resolved.

I m using xperia x10 mini.. i purchased few weeks before only.. I installed some applications. After that my phone get hang so i tried to restart by pressing lock key + home button together.. But it is not loading Operating system.. It is showing "Sony Ericcson" alone.. Not even phone is switching off... What can i do.. How to remove battery?

Android systems is ready to release the next version of the OS: Gingerbread (v 3.0) while we still use the crappy 1.6 base version. Depending on the USB port I either get an error when PC Companion, or Update Service is in the preparation stage, something like: All components needed to continue could not be found. Or I get to the stage when you turn off the phone and restart it with the backbutton pressed which leads to XP wanting to find drivers for SEMC usb flash. By looking through other communities I found those drivers could be found in: C:Program Files (x86)Sony EricssonUpdate ServicesetupdriversUSBFlashDriver.zip. I could initually install those to one USB port, but when trying to download the update through Update Service I get yet another error that the task could not be completed.

I upgraded my XPERIA Mini X10 to Android 2.1 Since then it does not connect to wifi at home. It used to connect very well in the past (in Android 1.6). Interestingly it connects to wiki in my school network. At home, it scans, finds the network, says "connecting" and goes to "Disconnected" status. Setting static IP does not work, selecting Wifi network and Connect does not work.

I have updated my X10 mini to Android 2.1.Every thing seems working fine except the Android Market app.I can search, and browse Android Market.But I am failing to download ANY app from the Market.The download icon does appear; but after a while it says "download paused".I searched through different forums and found that one very common suggestion is to boot the phone by pressing "Power" and "Home" key.No luck by booting either. Can some one please suggest some remedy for the problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere was an upgrade which installed all Vodafone 360 apps on my xperia x10 mini. From that moment on my email app is not working anymore. Everytime I start the app it comes up with greyed out account and password field. I can not setup the account I had setup before. The user field says "null@vodafone.ie". I looked around in the settings trying to find a solution and found that the Baseband version is "Unknown". I need urgently a fix for this as I need the email for work.
I tried PC companion to upgrade/downgrade but when the upgrade engine starts it comes up with an error that it can not be started and I should contact Sony Ericson.

When I got the phone I had to turn off the SMS delivery receipts due to getting charged for each one.....I did the upgrade yesterday and now its turned back on again.....I cant find the Phone's message settings. in the right direction? I have a X10 mini pro.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIt's hardly one month that i bought an Xperia X8. Its silently restarting often. This happens 3 - 4 times a day. As suggested in the forum, i restored my phone to factory settings, but in vain.. the issue continues. Everytime i check Settings > About Phone > Status > Up time, i get a time less than 7 hours, which means the phone cannot run without a restart for more than 7 hours.. Anybody experiencing this kind of problem?

But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.
xperia mini can't send messages to multiple recipients what gives?

It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! View 4 Replies View RelatedThese are the current problems I experience with my X8.The alarm clock sometimes disappears when set after going in standby. This is the most annoying issue as I use it as an alarm clock to wake up. Going back in and out to the menu of the alarm clock without changing any setting "fixes" the alarm clock. It appears again on the home screen then.There is a big security problem with the pattern security. Sometimes when waking up from standby by you see the correct pattern for a couple of seconds, so there is no way to protect your mobile from getting used.Sometimes the wifi just doesn't want to connect to a wifi network, turning the wifi on and off for several times seem to fix this after a long while.When starting to type, in a text field most of the times you have like 4 second timeout which is really annoying.Sometimes the phone hangs and only taking the battery out will get you back started.
