I purchased the X10 yesterday. It was typing in landscape mode yesterday. However, it refuses to go into landscape mode today. What should I do? I haven't found any answers online.

Just got the SE Xperia X10, I'm not sure what I click but it won't go to landscape anymore when I text. I really prefer texting in landscape mode. I just got the phone 3 days ago. I installed juice defender and task killer, I'm not sure if it has any thing to do with that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a lot of difficulty with my keyboard in both landscape and portrait. I am using the "Android Keyboard" that came with the phone. Examples of what I am referring to:
1. Wrong Key Showing: I type one letter and a different one is actually displayed.
2. Horrible Response: I get half way through an email and realize I need to fix an error in the middle of the paragraph. Trying to get the cursor where I want it a extremely hard to do and often it will move, but not where it is suppose to be moved to. Other times the cursor simply doesn't move at all and I have to erase all the back to where the error is and than retype. And no the cut and paste or copy and paste do not work since the cursor is not moving.
3. Random sentences just erase: I will be typing and hit the back key to erase a character, but instead it erases a line or two and won't stop.
Suggestions and no I am not going to root and void the warranty.
Can we zoom when we are in the camera mode of x10 mini. If yes how do i do it?

The problem he is having is that it keeps switching into silent mode of it own accord at random times. I have tried updating the software but that has had no effect. Does anyone know how to sort this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my X10 mini for a few weeks now and it's been working fine, but this weekend i noticed that when i plugged it in to the mains using the charger it failed to start charging. I also tried just using the USB connection with my PC but it also doesn't recognize it. My phone has now died and i have no way of making it work again! Infuriating! Has anyone else had a problem with this? The way i see it, i either have a faulty charging cable or the micro USB port has failed (a problem i jhave read is common in the x10?)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI notice the task bar goes into the hidden mode. I will see it and then it will goes up and disappear. Like in auto hide in window if you will. I look through all settings and I don't see any where you can remotely set it. The only way to get around to it is to power off and on the phone.

I connect to wifi at home. however, when the phone goes into screen safe mode, the wifi icon is not there. only after i swipe the phone to get back to the menu, then i see the wifi icon.
does it mean wifi is disabled when the phone is in screen safe mode? it appears i do not always get notification for new text when the mode is in screen safe mode. it's sporadic.

My question, why can i only use EDGE?! no 3G.when i go to settings the network mode selection cannot be selected.what gives? should i debrand my phone? or root? will it make a difference? or is there a hardware issue here?
I just received my Xperia mini and I'd like to change the keyboard to "landscape keyboard". The user manual says that I have to change the settings to auto rotate for the keypad to function in landscape. I've done this but I still don't have it.

I am not able to drag down the notification area when I am holding the mobile in portrait mode.
If I shift to landscape mode (by sliding the qwerty keyboard out), then when I press at the top status bar, I can drag the notification area down.
I just bought X10 and i cannot sync my phone.. it says that the URL does not exist anymore...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?
okay so you see I'm trying to text in landscape mode because portrait is just being weird on me, i like hold it to the side for like a minute and the darn thing won't change to landscape mode, i did it a couple of times but it just does it when it wants to, i want to be able to just turn it to the side and have it instantly change modes but it doesn't do that.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm responding to an email and I rotate the phone to landscape mode. Once completed, I turn the phone upright and it remained in landscape mode. The only way to get it back was to hit the menu button. I rotated to landscape a few minutes later and now its stuck in that mode, and won't return to portrait at all. I tried removing the battery to no avail.
