Query: Own Xperia x10 and am getting a bit peed of with the unlock screen pattern on phone does. Anyone know of another app which is free and would use a password instead of the pattern.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI have the phone in my pocket this evening, when i get home i get the 'too many pattern attempts' screen, and when i try to unlock using my google account, it fails even i use the right account and password because i can login to gmail from my laptop.What should i do now to get pass this on my phone. as stated above, i try my google account and a password? this works on my laptop, but x10 keeps telling me invalid user name or password. so i type 'null' as the password and it WORKS.

Basically I forgot my pattern unlock and I tried it 5 times and I had to unlock it with my google account. I've tried 2 google accounts and they wont sign in and they work on my laptop! Phone: Xperia X10i
FW: android 2.1
patterns - default slider + unlock pattern
Bug description
1) When phone is locked, press home or power button.
2) move slider, to be able to draw pattern.
3) Start to draw pattern and wait till screen goes black (do not remove your finger). So your pattern is not finished and screen has gone black. Try to remember place of the finger.
4) Press home or power button again.
5) Finish unlock pattern from place you was, when screen turned black.
6) Your phone is unlocked!
So, if you did not finished your pattern and your screen have gone black you might think, that the phone locked, but this is not true. Your Phone can be Quite Easily unlocked in the Pocket.
when u want to unlock phone before drawing the patten, u need to slide an inverted triangle from left hand to right hand side.so now suddenly the style of moving it became an mirror image.i mean now i have to move it from right hand to left hand.i found this wierd with my x10.is there a way to reset it back to original style
