I am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link). Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

I have just bought this phone..x10 mini pro and cant figure out how to change the micro sd card as I have one with larger memory, I have found in the settings menue a feature to unmount the card but how do you actually get it out of the phone? there are no buttons or anything and when it has unmounted it is in the exact same place.I noticed that it re-mounts itself which was handy but I would like to change disk?

I just got X10 with Android. Unlike the blackberry that I used to own I cannot access the microSD card from my linux machine. It detects it but does not open it for file transfers. I replaced the microSD card with the one I had in Blackberry and the phone accepetd it and was able to find all the media files on it. However the linux desktop (Fedora 12) still could not access it. Note this is the same SD card that I used in BB and all the files there were transferred using this linux machine before. Is it something in SE X10 that is blocking this.

I wonder if someone has the same problem on X10. If you press sub menu button, then press Add, then Shortucts, then Applications and you will see Camera icon for shortcut. When I make the shortuct, it appears of course on the display. When I press the CAMERA ICON, the phone just restarts it self?
And how to solve this? I did the Android update, but it said the update is not necessary. I also reseted the phone but still same problem appears. Second problem: I connected to WiFi, immediately and everything was ok. The next day I tried and I Could never connect again to any WiFi connection?

I just bought xperia 8 recently, a simple, fast yet functional phone. I couldn't figure out how to save files (games, apps) from the browser, play now, market etc. to the micro SD. All it does is download everything to the phone memory and it is getting full now (got tiny harddisk icon on top left screen). Couldn't find any solution in the User's guide - Short version.

I'm hoping someone can help me with what I assume is a simple query! I recently purchased an Xperia X10 and have inserted my Sim from my old W995. Whilst I'm prompted for my Sim pin number (which works), I can't get any of my contact details. In the phone book - I keep getting the following message -> My number: SIM card unavailable.

I just got the Experia X10 mini, my old phone was also a sony ericsson. My first problem has been the transfer of my contacts, I saved my contacts from my old phone onto my new sim but when I put the sim into the X10 it says there is nothing on it! So I desided to bluetooth them across and I cant find the X10. The bluetooth is defo on and discoverable. Not even my mate can find it. I phoned my contract supplier and they informed me that this a know problem with sony ericsson and I should get an update.

I saw that the Nexus has 512 megs of ram which on plenty to run apps. I like the X10 overall better for the 8mpx camera, but it has only 256 for ram. Is this gonna be an issues for the x10? My friend who has a Magic said that there is a way to increase the ram by doing virtua memory on the SD card...You think it will work well on the X10 1gb internal storage? How well does the apps run on SD card?

Does it make the phone more laggy? Because I've used about 7GB of my 8GB, and was wondering would it speed up my phone as its become a bit lagggy at time. I was planning to take about 4GB away of music but I really don't want to. Just seeing if it would be worth it?

I just got the new 2.1 update (which is amazing btw). I use the 'email' application to access my hotmail account. I went on there to save some pictures my friend has sent me, it says that it saves the attachment to the sd card, but is nowhere to be found on my phone atall. I never had trouble finding them before, so as you can probably tell, im quite confused. I don't always have internet to check them, and they are veryimportant to me, does anyone have any intake, or helpful advice to give? Plus I don't have a computer to use right now, just my wireless internet here on my phone.

Please bear with me as I am a recent convert to Android having been with Nokia and their Symbian system for years It's soooo outdated compared to Android I have been trying to install both the Swype beta apk & the HTC keyboard apk files onto my X10 for the last couple of days. I followed the instructions to get the file on my SD card and when I go to try and install it (using Astro) the phone keeps on asking me if I want to install it . I have the option in 'Unknown Sources' ticked to allow installs NOT from the market. I was going to format the SD card to see if that helps but I don't know if that will lose any system files vital to the phone. Strange thing is that the ADW Launcher installed fine and I didn't get that from the market.

My x10 has always been saying I have no SIM card inserted even though I do and it works perfectly. My status bar always shows my connections to be changing all the time, going from 5 bars to 1 bar, to no connection then no sim card and all over again. I'm just wondering if it was the updates fault, and do I have to re-update or factory reset the phone. P.S the SIM card message disappears after a phone restart but will come right back once you put it to sleep.
