Well my phone was stolen today, which sucks. But it brings me to a question I always wanted to know - if my provider blocks the phone completely (sim&phone block), is there a way to hack it/make it work again?

My phone was stolen today, long story short, it's gone for good. I've deactivated it but I don't want them able to use my google account if they swap to another sim or use it on wifi, is there anyway I can stop this? Is changing my password gonna stop the phone? Please help!

I'm looking for the best app that can be used to track a phone after it has been stolen (or lost).It needs to be able to be Started remotely.Able to send location updates on the web or by email or text Invisible Password-protected (preferably)I've found a bunch of apps by searching, but most of them have terrible reviews about force-closing and what-not.Any good ideas?

I didn't download any software or apps specifically for locating cell phone.My cell died the night it was stolen and i called it today and it rang so the person had to of charged it and is most likely using it.I'm thinking about seeing what numbers the person has called and try to use them to recover the phone. Either having the police contact them and ask who is their friend that called them from my number or me calling and pretending to be the police officer investigating the stolen phone.Any suggestions?

It would be hidden inside the phone so you couldn't see it but if anyone ever steals your phone, you can call the phone tracking systems company and find out where it is/who stole it? I think this would be useful because everyone wants this phone and after 90 days of this phone, you can unlock it so I'm pretty sure everyone wants to keep their phone safe.

- First, you can't switch off your phone without the password (useful with nexus 4, because you can't unplug the battery without utils)
- You can't restore your phone without the password
These actions could be activated always or by your activating them on a website (like apps that allowed you to locate your phone)
This would be useful if your phone is stolen, you could locate your phone if it's stolen because the the phone wouldn't be switched off or wiped

I haven't used this phone (Sprint Samsung epic 4g touch) ever since I bought an iPhone 5. (yes I know, don't judge) and I lent it to a cousin and it got stolen. Now I want to know if there's a way to know if someone else is using the phone with my google account. I went into the play store online and downloaded some apps and apparently they installed but when I check my devices it says last activity over a few weeks ago.
So I really don't care that it's stolen, I just don't want anyone accessing my google account and email. Is a password change enough to block anyone using the phone with my google account?

It's with 11,9mm the second slimmest Android phone after Nexus One with 11,5mm (right?) and has unlike the HTC phones a flash light and build in storage of 8GB. On most sites the Galaxy is (one of) the cheapest Android phones, I wonder if it's because Samsung is cheaper or HTC/Motorola more expensive by itself?
I personally would compare the i7500 with the HTC Hero, although in my opinion the i7500 still has a much better price for value.
Is it even possible to define if and which Android phone is a low, middle, or high-end smartphone?
Sure, it also depends for what purposes you bought and use your phone, but I still wonder were the i7500 would be if 1=low and 10=high end Android phone, and if there even is a number 10? I also think that the D-Pad is a big plus and not a minus in comparison to the scroll ball from HTC.

Lock and power buttons do nothing and it needs me to pop the battery to get it back.I don't want to push anyone down this line, but I get the feeling it's related to being in the stock case?Any ideas, it's been happening a couple of times a day for the past few days now?

I've upgraded the firmware to 1.6 and everything was fine. then a few months later it started to randomly reboot. Usually it happens while i'm trying to use the phone. IE: youtube, maps. during a call. etc. It'll be working then the screen goes blank. and GALAXY shows. then it'll being to boot as usual. This keeps happening! I've tried a hard reset and installed only minimal apps and added my contacts. and It still tends to reboot!
I have no idea whats happening. do you think it's the OS or something, or something hardware related?
I got the phone brand new in an unopened box from ebay. so I dont believe i have any kind of insurance or anything...
Had a phone call today and noticed that I couldn't hear the caller and they couldn't hear me. Further investigation has shown that the phone ear piece (for calls), the speaker and the mic has stopped working. I tried uninstalling software I added recently, it hasn't helped. Performed a full reset and the same issue is occurring. No sound out of or into the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i've persuaded o2 to have a look at my phone in the hope of replacing it. First they've asked me to reset the phone using *2767*3855#. If i have the same problems (dialpad not working during calls) then i've to return it. If their engineer cannot fix it, i'll (hopefully) get a replacement.So i'm running Galaxo with JC6, what should I do before returning the phone? I'm thinking Nandroid and then copy everything to my hard disk and remove that from my phone. Then use ODIN to install the latest official firmware (which is?). Then I run the reset command they gave me. That about right or should I do something else?
Has ANy one tried opening Samsung Galaxy i7500?, I have chnaged to galaxo 1.6.4. and running it happily downloading stuff and all and all of sudden battery discharged to the point that it would not get charged any more, Insitailly I thought I fried my battery with excess charging, hence I looked for batteries, fortunately in my THIRD world county India, there is no battery in stock at service stations. Hence I needed to wait for 5 days. Now remember I said fortunately.. whyy....cause then i tried restore the old OS, which Galaxo promptly helped me with, Now i tried charging again, but NO way, but the phone was getting heated up like it was on stove or something and it again stopped charging, So I understood its not the battery but the motherboard which has problem...
Now my cell is still in warranty, so before giving it to service station, I want to open it up and see whats what.. I got the manual already.it seems pretty simple( I have disassembled AT& T's Tilt, Nokai 6630, Nokia 6600, and many small others as well) but before that I would like to ask people has any one done it before ? anything I should be looking out for?

my phone is actually new i never used it and it was shipped to me with version 1.5 with android, then i saw that there is a 2.0 version of mustymod & drakaz witch i wanted to install and try all those new functions. The first version worked great without of course the camer the wifi and so on that there were not working with this first version, then i made something very stupid and format the SD CARD and since then i cant boot/start my phone. When i try to start it it only shows "Samsung Galaxy" and nothing else.So my question is what i can do to fix this? really need help (im a niewbie)
