Got another Moment and did all my stuff to it, rooting etc.Then I installed the burst leo theme and it is stuck in boot loop.I can't get into recovery or anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy samsung moment (NOT rooted with 2.1) gets stuck in a boot loop when I restart it. After about 10 mins the lock screen comes up and if I unlock it quick enough the phone runs fine but if I dont unlock it within a certain period of time it will just go back into booting up and go back to showing the samsung logo.
The phone has been running very sluggish since Ive been experiencing this and Im about to do a factory data reset but I dont feel like reloading all my apps and redoing all my settings. Does anyone know of a way to fix this without resetting the whole phone? anyone else experiencing the same thing? any help would be appreciated. Im about to get a blackberry, I love the android when it works but it just seems the slightest adjustment to the phone sends the whole thing haywire. Living with this aggrevation is becoming not worth it.
after my phone crashed / went unresponsive after a call I did what I've gotten used to doing which is taking out the battery to reset it. Though, this time I had the charger in which I'm guessing is what made the phone corrupt. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop with no way to reset it. Recovery mode doesn't help and I'm guessing there's no hardware reset button. I've never rooted or installed anything that's not from the free market.
I'm living in Sweden but bought it in Germany so am reluctant to go through the hassle of returning it. Or does samsung have som kind of world wide warranty?
i tried to do the one click clock work mod on my samsung fascinate with the phoenix kernel on the root of the sd card. everything went succesful but whe it turned back on, it kept looping, first the samsung logo appeared than a samsung.com logo followed and just looped. i cant go to any menu... cant get into hard reset or anything else!!
View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday i tried updating my android to Ice Cream Sandwich following some tutorial i found but i missed a step and didn't downloaded Clockworkmod Recovery or made any backup , and i think that USB Debugging is off because my pc doesn't recognize the phone ... I tried going into Android system recovery and clearing data and cache , and i tried with odin mode by pressing volume down, home and power but i got stuck on downloading screen for 2 hours so i gave up ... Now only thing left on my sd card is ics aura rom..

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have rooted my phone and have now the recovery mode from HD blog. It's was working fine. So I tried to get the Galaxhero ROM installed. I did the following steps:
1) Reboot in recovery mode (Volume down + both Call buttons) and choose "Nandroid backup" to save a backup of your current ROM just in case.
2) Backup G apps
3) Then, choose "Wipe data/factory reset". The phone will reboot in recovery mode again.
4) Choose "Apply sdcard:update.zip" (second menu entry on the recovery screen)
5) Restore Google applications ("Restore G.Apps")
6) "Enable root (su)".
But then enable root failed! Anyway I went on further with reboot system. It rebooted till the "android HD logo" showed up and then suddenly the screen went off and it seemed like my phone went off. So I went back to the recovery mode and did the following steps:
Wipe data
Restore backup
Restore G apps
Enable root SU, but again enable su failed!!
Again I choose reboot system, and when the reboot came again to the "android HD logo". It stuck there and stayed looping.
First, why do I still see the android HD logo again because I did a wipe!
Second, How can I get my phone working again!
I rooted my phone and tried to switch kernels and when i did my phone is just stuck on the samsung screen. I even tried to reflash using the sprint update but nothing is working.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor those of you familiar with this problem, it's when your Moment's signal bars displays an "x" but is stuck in AIRPLANE MODE. When you hold down the END button to pull up the 3 item menu you see this (note that it says AIRPLANE MODE IS ON):
Silent Mode
(Sound is ON)
Airplane Mode
(Airplane Mode is ON)
Power Off
So I battery pulled the phone...didn't work. I then did the VOLUME UP/CALL/END button hold down trick to bring up the root menu and did the Master Reset (which took my phone back to stock + wiped out all of my apps and data so BACKUP YOUR PHONE FIRST):
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband Version: S:M900.8.OS.DI06
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: ECLAIR.DJ07
...didn't work
I then went into the root menu again and did the REBOOT, still nothing
I then proceeded to get mad and hit the phone a few times and BANG, the signal came back and has been back since (2 days running).
Is there something in the hardware configuration I can change to fix this lock-up issue? If I open up the phone, is there something I can do to fix this? Please someone help...obviously my solution won't last as a fix
I made a phone call, got voice mail, and tried to hang up. Before I could hang up, the person called me back, so I talked to that person. After the person hung up, I saw that the first call I made was on "hold", so I switched to it, and tried to hang up. But the phone would not hang up. Noting I did would end the phone call. I could use the dial pad, I could go to the home screen, but the phone call would not end. I held the "end" button down and nothing happened, and I couldn't get out of the phone call. So I finally popped the battery cover, and pulled the battery to reset the phone.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi am trying to update my moment to 2.1 and i make it all the way through the update process until i press start download. after i press start download it says ready... on the status bar. i left it for about 90 mins and nothing changed. i have done this 3 separate times with the same result each time. i will be thrilled with any information that might help me for i desperately crave 2.1!!!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was a Power Palm User for 10 years, have a blackberry for work, and finally gave up my Palm for a HTC Evo 4g. Thus far, I have extremely mixed feelings. So here is a description of my current issue. My battery died a few nights ago, and I got stuck in a do loop where the device keeps rebooting but never gets to the navigation screen. The screens I see are:
* HTC Evo intro screen
* Sprint
* 4g with welcome tone
Followed by repeat of Sprint then 4g again and again............
I really wanted to get the Samsung Moment and was planning to get it on November 1st, but because the uncertainty of the feasibility of upgrading to Android 2.0 I decided to wait. With all the hoopla about Google's new GPS navigation software for Android 2.0 I don't want to risk being left behind, who knows what else I would be missing out in the future if I am stuck with Android 1.5. The perfect Android device for me would have a Snapdragon 1 Gz processor, run Android 2.0 (preferably stock), have a physical keyboard and would be for either T-Mobile or Sprint. Android 2.0 and the carriers are non negotiable, everything else I may be willing to give up.
I'll take Android 2.0 with a custom GUI if I have to, although I would prefer stock. I think I read somewhere that the Sony X3/X10/Infinity will use the T-Mobile 3G bands and will run Android 2.0 with a custom GUI. It doesn't meet all my criteria but it is the closest I can find of all the rumored or announced Android phones (the hardware is nothing to sneeze about, by the way). If the Sony device is really for T-Mobile and is running 2.0 then it looks like this will be the one for me. Can't wait for Sony's big announcement next week.
how to root my phone but i had just installed the AIM app and got an instant message so i swipped down to unlock the screen and kept getting these error messages that all apps were force close and space full on both phone and SD card (i had previously gotten space full on the phone but i must have uninstalled about 8 sound board apps and the message stayed) then the phone went very slowly and the force close messages would not stop so i guess i did the stupid thing and held the power button and found it odd that the only option was power off so i shut it down and attempted to turn it back on and it showed the white screen with the HTC incredible and then the HTC brilliant and then the Verizon tsunami screen or splash or whatever it is but it kept repeating that cycle over and over again (note this was not from an attempted root) i can put it into recovery mode and i was wondering what i can do from the recovery screen and if i can root it from the recovery screen. I'm sorry but i have no idea on how to root but if someone could help it would be much appreciated. and thank you for reading my long winded post but i wanted to be as detailed as possible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis afternoon, while scanning the forums. I had my Incredible charging off the AC adapter. and in airplane mode for shits and giggles. After doing some research on the ATK killers. I decided to uninstall mine and just allow the phone to manage itself. After the phone was finished with the uninstall I gave it a quick reboot just to allow the core apps to come back up. and upon doing so, I found myself in an endless reboot cycle. I would get the HTC " quietly brilliant " screen, followed by two verizon wireless screens and then loop back to the HTC screen. I let it loop about 10 times before pulling the battey to stop it.
It's rather odd. After pulling the battery and disconnecting it from the charger, I let it sit for a few minutes, replaced the battery and attempted the restart again. Once again I found myself in the same loop. After 5-6 loops i was finally brought to the OS and everything loaded as normal. Anyone have opinions on what may have caused this?
1. Uninstall of ATK
2. Rebooting while on charge
3. Airplane mode + charge + reset=boom
4. Because I touch myself at night
I turned off my N1 and when I turned it back on it never progressed passed the the N1 boot-up animation. I've taken the battery out multiple times, but it does the same thing. The animation starts up then freezes after ~3 seconds, then the animation starts again and it just repeats. Can anyone help me fix this?

Installed it and turned on my phone and now I get stuck with in a boot loop. re-installing my old card and it boots ok. so I figured I could make a new nandroid back up and just restore it. where do nandroid backups get stored on the sd card? I have a nandriod folder but it doesn't seem to contain the one I just made. I'm running the latest fresh 3.2

Did the wipes, (cache, dalvik and factory) did the wipes again after reboot,Now Im stuck in an infinite bootloop, (goes to samsung splash, then Devilkernel Splash, then CWM where it shows cannot mount e:/ (cycles too quick I can't see it..) then it just reboots and continues, I can't boot the phone into CWM recovery, can't boot into download mode, tried USB JIG, doesnt do anything,I can't adb my phone, can't ODIN..
I have loaded the Dolphin browser as my default browser and the google homepage is stuck in Spanish. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and nothing changes. The only way to view it in english is to scroll down to the bottom of the google homepage and press "Google.com in in English". Once I close the browser and come back its back in Spanish. Any ideas or suggestions?
View 20 Replies View RelatedMy dinc just automatically rebooted and got stuck in the initial white droid incredible screen (before the green htc logo)....vibrate...black...white droid incredible screen. happened for first time two nights ago...finally got it out of this and wiped phone to factory. just today happened again. i was able to uninstal it in between the 5 minutes of working phone i had (kept going into reboot cycle....and as soon as i uninstalled it..this nonesense stopped!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a non-rooted EVO with all the latest updates and lately it will randomly go into a reboot loop. The only way I've been able to stop this loop is immediately put it in airplane mode, that is when it gets as far as the main screen. Usually it doesn't even get to the 4G animation before crashing again. Is there a fix for this? Or is this a hardware issue? I have not done a hard reset yet or anything.

I had been flashing roms with 4ext recovery since you can just use smartflash but after the last time I flashed a rom the rom wouldn't load and just kept rebooting the phone the the htc screen over and over again
caused & am now stuck in a recovery boot loop.
- bought a Thomson QM734-8G tablet (Allwinner A13b clone), running Jellybean 4.2.2;
- PC interface worked fine in MTP and large storage modes;
- setup Android SDK & Java JDK on PC and communicate with tablet via ADB;
All OK so far..After a couple of days, I decided to replace stock recovery with ClockworkMod Recovery, so I could start messing about with the tablet.
I found the CWM 6.0.2.8 mod supposed to work with these tablets and, following instructions, determined it was indeed running on sun5i hardware and had 10 partitions (nandj) and downloaded the appropriate version.
I used ADB sideload to install CWM and everything appeared to work OK ... until I rebooted and found myself stuck in a never-ending cycle of CWM-based recovery bootloop.All I get is the CWM recovery console, with a few lines of error & the tablet will go no further.

CWM functions work properly and nothing will mount through the 'Mounts and Storage' section, although sideload mode still seems to work.Attempts to use ADB sideload to install a different CWM or other recovery image have all failed, and LiveSuit and PhoenixSuit both have issues detecting the tablet (despite trying various versions of each & following instructions precisely), so I can't flash a replacement ROM to fix things.
At the moment, I just want to rip CWM out and go back to factory recovery mode and have a working tablet again! I think the Bootloader is locked and the tablet is unrooted. Superuser or SuperSU don't want to install properly. However, using ADB, it looks like I can get root access in shell (#).
i had a custom rom gingerbread and then i wanted to do a factory reset to go back to the stock room , instead this give me big problems. it is stuck on the lg screen and i try to go into recovery and alit says is do not pull out battery Formatting data , Formatting cache and Factory reset and this it goes right back into the lg screen where it gets stuck . My computer recongizes my phone but i dont know how to use adb commands thing like a pro . i have everything i need in the folder "backup" in the clockwordmod folder .
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Droid keeps rebooting on it's own. It stuck in a boot loop. I have tried to do a wipe and restore a android backup that I made last week but it is still rebooting. As soon as the phone tries to mount the SD card reboots. I have also tried to restore it to a plain vanilla backup that I made right after I rooted my phone.
Clockwork see the SD card with no problems and can read and write to it. Also Win 7 can see the card when I put it in my laptop. This seems to have started after I used MotoTorch Flashlight and had to do a battery pull on it because the phone locked up.
I updated to BB 0.4 from a previous old 2.2 installation. Now I'm stuck in an endless reboot loop! It alternates between Droid and the red Droid eye!
1) I copied update.zip to the root of the drive.
2) I installed update.zip
3) Install was successful
4) Rebooted
