Mar 12, 2010Sprint Nextel Corporation - Investor Relations - RSS Content. Kudos to Sprint, this is coming just in time for the March Madness, which is great! I hope this has been tested for enough viewer capacity because it sure will be tested by every Sprint TV customer. I am watching Lafayette v. Lehigh game live. I can definitely wait for Sprint to prepare another app to replace NFL Mobile Live for before the Football games start. Hope this is the beginning for a long season of good news from Sprint, Android 2.1 should be around the corner.

Jan 5, 2010I was wondering if there was a way (or an contact app) that would allow for a more thorough search of the contacts. I just switched from a B-Berry and I had notes, or business names, tags or whatever with certain business contacts and I could find them by searching for that word, but this phone will not. Example a person who I could not remember his name, but he was a roofer, I could search for roof and find him.. also, the B-Berry would also pull up both peoples 1st and last names if they were the same eg a search for martin would pull up a person whose 1st name is Martin as well as anyone whose last name is Martin. I really liked this function, it was the same on an old Palm PDA that I had too...

May 17, 2010I'm copying this from another post because I don't want it to get buried. This is for everyone out there having trouble getting Live Wallpapers to work on their Moment. I give FULL credit to the other posters.*6/30 EDIT! - The new links are now working properly! -This post is assuming you already have the 2.1 update-Files Used:

New Recovery File
Live Wallpaper ZIP
-Follow EXACTLY. Don't deviate-
1) Go to Control Panel. Remove EVERYTHING Samsung from your Add/Remove section. This will remove all of the drivers etc.
2) Go to your Program Files (x86 if needed) section under 'My Computer'. Delete the 'Samsung Electronics' folder.
3) If you have CCLeaner and are comfortable using the Registry tool, clean your registry of anything Samsung. This will ensure that your new install doesn't use the old stuff.
4) RESTART
5) Install the OLD CL14 SAMSUNG INSTALLER onto your PC. This is important as the NEW installer won't use non-signed packages.
6) RESTART
7) Download the new Recovery and KEEP IT IN ITS DOWNLOADED FORMAT. Take off the MD5 at the end of the file so it ends in TAR.
8) Go back to the Samsung Electronics folder (that you would've deleted earlier) and head to SWUpgradeModelsBinary. Remove the file inside, probably called "SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar". Delete it, move it - whatever.
9) Copy the Recovery file you just downloaded into that folder. DO NOT EXTRACT IT.
10) TURN OFF YOUR PHONE and remove the battery for about 10 seconds. Replace battery. DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON.
11) HOLD 'VolDown+Camera+End'. A DOWNLOADING screen should appear.
12) Start the SWUpdate that should be on your desktop. Otherwise, it's back in the Samsung Electronics folder from earlier.
13) FOLLOW THE ONSCREEN INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. I can't stress that enough...
14) After it applies the Recovery file (which is why you placed it in the Binary folder), RESTART YOUR PHONE.
15) Copy the Live Wallpaper ZIP file to your SDCard. DO NOT put it into a folder. Just copy it to the root of the card (meaning it's by itself and not in a folder). DO NOT EXTRACT.
16) POWER OFF YOUR PHONE
17) HOLD 'VolDown+Call(Green)+End(Red)'. This will put you into Recovery Mode. Using the VolUp/VolDown keys, scroll to 'Apply Update.zip' and press the center key. Select the Zip File you just copied to your SDCard. After it processes, RESTART YOUR PHONE.
18) BOOYA! After your phone boots up, you should be able to hit Menu then Wallpapers and you should see Live Wallpapers as a heading.This doesn't ROOT your phone, only adds Live Wallpapers to your Moment. If you want to run CUSTOM Live's, you'll need to ROOT your phone.After the zip is applied, you can delete it from your SDCard.

You can install these a number of different ways. Forget all that and let's make it easy! You must have root to do this.
1) Download file and rename to LiveWallpapers.apk
2) Place in root of SD card.
3) Open Root Explorer and go to SD card, then long press file (LiveWallpapers.apk) and select copy.
4) Back up and go to the System folder, then Apps.
5) Hit the big button on top to mount as Mount as R/W.
6) Press paste, it will ask you to overwrite file, press yes.
7) After this is done select the LiveWallpapers.apk and long press to bring up permissions. Change permissions to User- Read and Write, Group- Read, Others-Read then OK. Hit the big button on top to mount as R/O again!
8) Reboot and then long press the screen, bring up live wallpapers, then select Nexus, then enjoy!

Aug 19, 2010I installed Live Wallpaper. Regardless of all the posts saying it doesnt drain the battery too bad, my brain refuses to accept it. Im trying to remove it, but I have no clue how.

May 14, 2010For anyone getting "server problem" when attempting a voice search with 2.1, it appears to be a issue with random existing gmail accounts. This feature never worked for me with the 2.1 beta. When I flashed the release, I tried every one of my 6 existing gmail accounts with no love, then I created a new account on the phone and wahlaa voice search works. Now all I have to do is export my contacts and calender to the new account and contact beyondpods author to get a new key.

I put some wallpaper files in a zip. and put the zip. on my phone. I then went into recovery mode and tried to extract them from the zip. but it didnt work.. How do I put live wallpapers on my Moment? It is already rooted, and it already has the capability.

Jan 27, 2010I realize that you can't delete NFL Live, as it's one of the original Sprint-installed apps.
Here's my issue: I tried to open it and it prompted me to update. I tried this four or five times, with no success--before realizing that my problem was probably that I had not authorized an "extra fee" service.
Now, though, I've got five or six copies of the app on my phone. I can't seem to delete any of them. Is it not possible to delete the extras?

Feb 9, 2010Here I am with 2 HTC Hero phones, with only one on an active account. I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested. May 20, 2010Yesterday I updated to the android 2.1 & rooted my phone. I have voice caller ID, & speak message service (reads out SMS messages)...& yesterday & even a few hours ago, they were working just fine... I even tried out the new voice search stuff (microphone icon) & it was fine. Well bout an hour or so ago, my phone rang & it no longer said who was calling, nor will it read out my texts...& when I click on the microphone icon, a screen pops up that says "Audio Problems" try again or cancel. What could have happened that suddenly made these stop working? If I have to reset my phone again, will I have to re-update the androiod 2.1 & root my phone again? Can someone help me out please? I would really appreciate your guys help.

With the Big promotions I tried getting the moment throught best buy 179 deal for existing customers but sprint told best buy that I wasnt at 22 months on my current contract ( which is the 500 sero plan through 8/1/2010 ) so I cant get and upgrade ( except 75 bucks off the msrp through sprint ).
