Anyone know if there is a way to have multiple calendar widgets using google calendar? I would like to have a "work" calendar showing only has the days I work so that when in "month" view that's all that's in view.

events created on phone won't go to google calendar. I believe I have the sync set up right, events on my google calendar have synced to my phone. A previous thread states you have to choose "google calendar" when generating an event on the calendar on the phone, however, when I try to edit the event, under "Calendar" the setting is "My calendar" but I can't change the setting (tapping on it does nothing)

However the second one has a calendar that's not being picked up by my phone.Under 'Accounts and sync 'Manage accounts there only 'Sync contacts' and 'Sync Gmail' but no 'Sync Calendar' like I can with my primary account.I set up the calendar in Google and got the mobile part registered and received the code and it says it's working...the phone just isn't realizing it's there.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am the proud new owner of a Fascinate (Eris refugee). Love this phone! I don't seem to have any GPS issues, and reception/call quality is excellent so I guess I got a good one...
Except for one thing. My Google calendar will NOT come down into the phone. I've got my email, contacts, FB, everything else is sync'd up perfectly. But the calendar sync just keeps spinning, and anytime I try to open the calendar on the phone, it black screens and hangs for about 3-4 minutes before FC'ing on me. I understand there is a known issue with creating events on the phone calendar and not syncing to gCal - this is not that problem. The phone seems to be "stuck" trying to sync the calendar. I've let it sit there and spin until it stops. I've pulled the battery, removed downloaded apps, done about everything I can think of here. I've spent quite a bit of time getting this phone set up and I've got it dialed in brilliantly - I really REALLY do not want to throw the last several hours of getting this phone set up right out the window, but it looks like that is my only real option - a factory reset.
Can't find a way to default to google when adding calendar events. Have to manually go in and change from "my calendar" to my google account. Any way around this?

On this calendar I also can view my calendars of other family members.The problem I am having is that I had to create a google account when I bought the phone. However, I can't seem to get my non-google calendar to show up on the phone.I have tried using my new google account to "friend" my non-google calendar account but it's still not showing up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI played with the Fascinate today for more than an hour at VZW. I LOVE IT. My only question is related to the calendar. On my D1 I have many more widget choices including the calendar. This widget displays on my home screen and always shows my next appointment whether it is today or in a week. The next calender entry always shows. This is not the case for the Fascinate. It has a nice widget that shows weather, stocks, and at the bottom appointments. It only shows today's appointments. I downloaded a calender widget app that was nice and may work but it would not open so I don't know.
Now the question: Can any of you guys with the fascinate comment on a widget that allows the widget to display the next entry on the calendar. To be clear on my D1, if I have no calendar entries for today, my 10am meeting tomorrow shows up on the widget with a time and date. Can one do this with the Fascinate.
Can you use the stock touchwiz widgets if you have Launcher pro Running? I kind of like the look of the scrollable people widget!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have installed a BT widget and a WiFi widget from the market that are each 1x1 so I could save some real estate on my homescreen in not having to use stock the power control widget that's 1x4. I do notice that on a reboot the 2 widgets appear as three dots for a few seconds before finally loading last, after all the thumbnails do on the home s screen.
My Q is, are the widgets something that are always running and using resources, albeit not a lot perhaps. How else do they compare to just using the slide down controls for BT and WiFi. They are redundant but faster than sliding and then tapping. Also these widgets change color, green for active, red for inactive, etc.
I am using google apps email for several of my websites. the settings are the same as gmail. I am using IMAP.
I setup my @gmail account and one of my @myprivatedomain.com emails in the gmail app and regular email app on my phone. I like using the gmail app as my email app since it auto syncs and you dont have to open and wait for sync like you do w/ the regular email app.Now I can't setup my @myprivatedomain.com emails in the gmail app. I don't understand on the Adroid phones why email setup is so hard. I had one hell of a time on the X and Inc setting up email. Very buggy and intermittent does anyone know what "your phone may not be provisioned for data services" means?
I am new to Android, Google calendar and the Captivate phone. Have successfully imported my old calendar to Google Calendar which initially synced with the calendar on my captivate. However, when I add a new event to my phone calendar, it does not automatically show up on the Google calendar. the Samsung rep told me I have to edit each new even to mark it as a "Google Calendar". Is there any way to make this the default option on the Captivate phone? I am hoping to have automatic syncronization b/t the phone and the Google calendar without having to force it to do so each time.

But I was looking through my phone and I don't even have an option for a calendar in the android widget menu or the samsung widget menu. Unless you count the calendar clock?
But even on the little icon where it says Samsung widgets, there is a picture of a calendar widget but I don't have it!
Soo anyways question is..Is this just my phone? Or am I just dumb and there isn't one?
Since the Samsung calendar widget blows (for example my husband had drill this weekend which in my Google calendar as all day Sept 11 & 12; however, it shows that it's an event today as well from 3:00-4:00) I need a new one. I've seen Jorte talked about but I dl'd that and it showed his drill as being only on the 11th (which obviously I know if it's one day of the weekend, it's going to be the other as well, but I'm just worried about it messing up future appointments). So what's everyone else using? Doesn't have to be a free option.

View 5 Replies View RelatedParts of the calendar won't sync. My Trip It agenda or US holidays won't sync. All other Gcal appointments sync and are listed on the phone as expected. I have all agenda items listed on my Gcal and checked all proper boxes on phone settings. I even contacted Blik app developer who confirmed what to do in the settings. It seems this is an SF issue. For travel, Trip It which sends all of my confirmations, flights, rentals, etc. to my calender all of which shows up on Gcal but not on the phone even though the Trip it calendar is checked on the phone settings. Whilst I am new to the SF, I have been an Android user for over a year and none of these issues were present on my D1. Any tips unique to the SF that I am unaware of vis a vis calendars?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got two Corporate Exchange Accounts with which I want to be able to Sync both email and calendars with my Fascinate. My wife has the Motorola Droid 2 with Android 2.2 and it supports multiple Corporate Sync (Exchange) Accounts. (She has three exchange accounts - two part time jobs and one for personal). I bought the Fascinate, but after I got home realized it only will support one Corporate Sync account natively. I have downloaded and installed Touchdown temporarily to handle my second Exchange Account, but Touchdown also only supports one account. I'd much prefer to use the same application for both accounts so I can see my calendars overlayed.
As I understood it, Android 2.1 supported multiple exchange accounts, but I think Samsung made a decision to override that, by including an Email app on the Fascinate that only supports one account. Has anybody heard about Fascinate's Android 2.2 (Froyo) update and whether or not it will support multiple Corporate accounts? With the exception of not supporting Multiple Exchange accounts, this phone really hit it out of the park for me. Great screen, thin and light, fast, 3G Hotspot (so I can get rid of my aircard). I'm 4 days into my 30 days with Verizon. I hope we hear something about Fascinate's 2.2 update before then.
On my old phone (HTC Imagio) you would select "Share" and then it would pop back to the album where you could touch the thumbs for the pics you wanted to upload. When you touched it, the corner of the pic would fold over showing that it was selected, and you could then keep touching other thumbs to select as many as you would like and finish by hitting the soft key titled "Upload".On the Fascinate it appears that you have to select the pic in the album, hit share, hit Photobucket and then you have to scroll to the next and do it again and again until you have uploaded all your photos one at a time. Am I missing something, or is this just how the Fascinate and Photobucket app work together?

We us to do this all the time with our Blackberries and it was a life saver. I just created a gmail account to that is all new to me as well. So I am not sure if it somehow has to go through my google calendar or is there an app of a different calendar that we both can download?

I installed Gemini, and turned on the Notifications, but it tells me to disable any other notifications. Problem is, I can't find an option to do that anywhere.Long story short, if anyone knows of ANY calendar app for the Fascinate that will honor alarms/reminders, please let me know. I am in desperate need of one.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI do not have sync birthdays checked under my accounts. The Facebook birthday events have been added to "my calendar" events. I have even done a hard reset.
Seems like a syncing issue. I want to be able to use LPP agenda widget, but I can not customize which calendars to view. This has not happened on my Droid X or Incredible.
When I enter something in my outlook calendar or contacts it will sync with my phone (fascinate).
When I enter a calendar or contact on the phone it does not go to the computer.
Under setting and accounts and sync the exhange account is set and "sync is on"
Is there anyway to sync the Fascinate to Yahoo calender? Been looking at the app store and I see nothing on it. Is it locked out to be a Google phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set up my corp exchange email account and the email part of it works flawlessly. The calendar on the other hand is very quirky. On the first Sync I noticed that not ALL appointments were brought over from my Outlook Calendar. Upon researching it seems that the meetings not coming over are all recurring meetings. Some were from other people that I was invited too but most were recurring meetings I had created on my own calendar.
I did some testing to isolate the behavior:
Create single appointment in Outlook
It shows up perfectly on the Fascinate.
In outlook change the appointment to recur monthly
Appointment vanishes from Fascinate.
Remove recurrence from appointment in Outlook
It comes back to Fascinate.
The same behavior can be seen when creating a fresh appointment with recurrence. The problem seems to be isolated also to recurrence set for the "every third wednesday" or something similar. It works for monthly on the 20th for instance.
Firmware version is: 2.1-Update1
Build: SCH-I500.DI01 (downloaded today and did not correct sync issue)
I'm using Lightning (part of mosaic's Thunderbird) on my computer and want to export it to my new Fascinate.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I got my fascinates just last week, and my wifes phone has been acting crazy a bit, and I am sure its one of the thousands of apps she has installed. So I went into the 'recovery menu' and cleared the cache and did a factory reset from there to just restore to factory state, and now everything stops unexpectedly. Gmail, calendar, and most of all, media message just keeps popping up every 3 seconds or so. If i remove the sd card the media message will stop, but if I launch things like gmail, calendar, car dock, video player, etc., they all stop unexpectedly. I cannot even setup the market place again due to this failing, does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday, I managed to sync. my Lotus Notes calendar with google calendar (after 2 days of turmoil)Then the notes events were displayed on google calendar but 6 hours ahead (like GMT) thought both calendars were set on the same time zone (CST).At this point, the calendar pad widget synced with google calendar and displayed all my lotus notes events 6 hours ahead as in the google calendar.I then changed my google calendar time zone to GMT so that my lotus notes events showed the correct time .But now, the calendar pad widget still shows the old google calendar events that was 6 hours off even after syncing.Can some one please help configure such that my lotus notes , google calendar and calendar pad widget all show the same events at same time (hopefully, maintaining the same time zone settings for all)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a new Droid Eris user and have been using Google Calendar for some time.I have a single calendar set up which is syncing with the Eris.I can successfully add/edit/delete entries from both applications and have them show up just fine on the other side.I have a couple of recurring entries that I've since deleted in Google Calendar but are still showing up on my Eris.The unique thing about both of these entries is that they were meeting requests sent to my Gmail address and accepted from there.They have since been cancelled from the original sender and are now removed from my Google Calendar.My calendar entries are labeled as dark blue, and these two show as light blue.I cannot select them on the Eris to edit or delete them.
