Is there any type of speed dial widget i can use to easily call people? Something where I can put all of my contacts on the page so i can see all of their pictures and just click to call. Similar to the speed dial of the touch pro 2. I'm using Launcher pro and don't see anything for it

Is there ANY way to assign a # on the dial pad to speed dial a contact? I want to do a long press on a number say#3 and it will auto dial the contact assigned to it. I cant figure it out. If I long hold a number it just says NO SPEED DIAL ENTRY. This is driving me NUTS. I have The Epic BTW.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo a colleague of mine picked up the Droid Eris and while I find the Sense UI a bit heavy - I did love the look of the desktop widget that manages favorites from dialer on screen as a speed dial. Have been searching in Market for a couple of days and don't find! Searched here and only find instructions for adding shortcuts to contacts onto the desktop (which I guess could work, but doesn't look anywhere near as cool!). Anyone heard of anything good?

There is a speed dial button on the #1 keypad for the voicemail, but we have visual voicemail. So why give us an unneeded speed dial and not let us have access to the rest of them. View 6 Replies View RelatedI just splurged on an Epic and I am loving the phone so far but I noticed a small glitch and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if there is a solution. I noticed that the dialpad sometimes has a lag when entering numbers into the dial pad. To clarify:
Yesterday I was calling my cable service provider. I was prompted by the automated customer service sytem to enter in my phone number. At this point I had the phone to my ear and and in order to enter my phone number I then proceeded to remove the phone from my ear and started punching in the numbers. The phone screen awoke from sleep and as I started to punch in the numbers I noticed that the screen did not register my touch enteries right away. In fact I had to press the screen a couple of times before the screen press was registered and the correct selection was made. It only seems to occur under these circumstances: The phone screen is off due to the light sensor being covered while the phone is next to your ear. If you remove the phone from your ear and then proceed to enter numbers on the dialpad some lag does occur and the numbers do not show up immediately. In fact the screen will not even resgister the few one or two attempts at making a selection.
Two simple questions:
How do you delete bookmarks of the browser? How do you create a pause in the speed dial for voice mail?
Can someone verify that 2.2 will add bluetooth voicedialing it is sure strange that you can't voicedial through bluetooth on a phone as advanced as the Epic.

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday, I set my Epic to 4G Hotspot activation. Then I setup my Apple Itouch to connect WiFi with my Epic. I ran Speedtest.net app on my Itouch. This is with my Epic connected to 4G.

Are these good speeds Hotspot? It seems like Download is kinda slow, although Upload speed seems good. With the same tower and still connected with my Itouch (but Itouch not running any program), my Epic got:

This is the typical speeds that i get with 4G connection with my Epic. Is my Hotspot speeds Ok?
I looked at SwitchPro and there's this: [APP] 4G Toggle Widget v1.2 (6/18) - w/Sense disabled + SOURCE - xda-developers but neither currently supports the Epic. Any other solutions?
