View 13 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
After many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

So i would like to root it and run a factory1.6 no twiz rom on it, but I'm having issues while doing it!....
I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
Does anyone know if you can use any multitouch because any app that says it has multitouch doesn't work

I have been trying to put it back on and all I ended up doing was bending it.I got my hands on an HTC Leo Windows mobile 6.5. Best implementation of an SD card slot ever.

Sprint release the 2.1 update for the Samsung Moment today. Here is the link to the update on Sprint's website. Will this update work for our Behold II? I'm willing to try to install it on mine (I'm currently running 1.6 no twiz). What do you think guys?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a good and comprehensive way of getting the Behold 2 recognized by Linux (ubuntu 9.10)? I have the SDK installed and everything works but I don't Know how to get Ubuntu to recognize my phone, when I do ./adb devices it comes up empty.
View 9 Replies View RelatedG1 and my Behold 2 her phone had good reception and the behold had nearly none. Half the time I don't get phone calls. They go straight to VM. My roommate's BB pearl gets double the reception mine does. My other roommate's Nokia gets even better reception. All on the T-mo network. Another friend who has a G1 same thing, he has reception I don't. Not to mention the other problems I have had. This is my 3rd Behold II by the way. Been replaced twice and back to Samsung for 3 weeks once.

Has anyone gotten a better keyboard on a Behold 2? Every time i install Better Keyboard or the voice type, my Behold locks up (4 hard resets yesterday). I get an error about twsettings, the phone starts to mess up, i reboot, and it locks up. I cant get it to finish booting. It freezes on the android logo screen (45 minutes). I like Better Keyboard.I really dont like the Samsung keyboard but im sick of hard resets.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a samsung moment that I seem to have inadverntantly disabled diagnostic usb access - if I have USB plugged in and then enable dial up networking in settings , USB disconnects - as soon as I disable DUN usb comes back up - I modified the setting in NV for scm from 3a to 2a and caused this, but I can't find a way to access non volatile memory any other way than through usb diagnostic mode

Worked great! Simple, and not much to it. I have the Superuser Permissions app in my app list.This morning I installed the android sdk and the drivers from the samsung website, enabled usb debugging on my phone, connected the phone, and did the following in my cmd prompt:.C:android-sdk-windows yes, that is the correct location of the android sdk folder) but all i'm getting is 'error: device not found'. I tried uninstalling my drivers and doing it again, this time connected to a different USB port, and still the same thing. Anyone have any insights? I'm able to successfully connect my phone to my machine and view it like a storage device (drag folders around, etc)
View 11 Replies View RelatedUp until this morning I've had no problems with running ADB commands from my computer to my phone but now everytime I try to do so I get a Device Not Found error. My OS is XP and I've gone through the Device Manager looking for something that says ADB (that's what my memory tells me I should be seeing). Can anyone tell me where I should be looking? Or what device I may need to update the drivers on? Not sure why it suddenly started happening but it's hosing me on trying the latest GAOSP build (need to mount so that I can delete everything in the dbdata directory).
View 12 Replies View RelatedI installed OCLF V2+ and all is great. However, one day I turned on the phone and I think it's physically broken. The symptoms are:
- Only half screen image
- Other half screen has strange stripes
- The phone doesn't go past the spash screen
- It will boot in recovery and download mode. Here there's still only half a screen
So what I want to do is undo the lag fix, remove ext2 tools and unroot the phone before I go back to the store. Can anybody help me with this?
I CAN start in recovery mode and use adb shell to go to the phone shell! So I suppose I have to do the above steps from the shell!
I'm a noob to like all of this so bare with me, I love jailbreaking and rooting stuff, just because I love being in complete control of my device....so thats the main reason why I rooted my samsung moment. I usually gain experience from all of this by looking on youtube tutorials or going to threads, I've never asked or seeked helped personally until now. So my question is what can I do with my phone now? I have an idea of how I would put new roms on my moment but I want to be sure of what I'm doing before I brick my phone from a careless mistake. problem: adb shell error: device not found winXP cannot dedect adb interface on device manager so i cannot use adb shell. i tried 2 pc
system properties:
winXP 32 bit sp3 home
i7500 I7500XXII5 gaosp-2-10-21-2010-nightly
device manager dedect adb interface when @fastboot for 15 seconds. and i installed current drivers. after 15 seconds phone reboot normally. and device manager cannot dedect adb interface. and adb shell failed... device not found...
Is anyone know how to reset Behold II with key combination to hard reset?
