it wasn't working right so i uninstalled it and when i went to reinstall it, i searched in the app market and it says home++ installed. and the open and install buttons are both greyed out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open up messaging on my home screen, it's pretty slow and choppy. I have about 10 threads open with about 3,000 txts total. I delete most pictures and animations I receive, to save memory, but I like to keep my text txts. It's slow when I scroll down through my threads, and it takes a second or two to open up a thread, regardless if it has 10 txts in it, or 2,000. Anyone else have this problem? I should add that it did not improve after the update. I wonder if I'm low on memory overall, but I have 87M free according to my advanced task killer app. I get what seems to be a glitch too, when I get a text message and it appears at the status bar at the top, sometimes it shows the same text three or four times, at random intervals. Sometimes it just shows it once, like it should?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend and I both got Droid 2's on launch day and she has been having an issue today that she called me to complain about but I haven't seen it happen yet myself. I am hoping someone can help with my description of it, if not I will come back later with a more thorough description. Basically what she said is happening is randomly every time she tries to unlock the phone to read a text message or something a notification pops up and says something like you are connecting to the home/multimedia dock and then the dock pulls up. She closes it and then it wants to open itself up again. Has anyone else had this happen and know what causes it or how to fix it?

View 14 Replies View RelatedIve had open home downloaded for over a month and i only used it for a short period of time before switching back to the default homepage setting. Now, because of the new features added to Open Home i want to switch back, and every time i open 'Open Home' it only opens until i hit the home key. Then it does not ask me what i want to use as my default as it used to. I went to settings>applications>manage applications>open home to clear all defaults but it is not highlighted for me to select it. How can i set Open Home to my default again?

The application will be preinstalled on the end user device, but still should have an option for uninstall). The task looks very simple but I've faced lots of troubles implementing it. What I have done:
Add shortcut to the home screen using
com.android.launcher.action.INSTALL_SHORTCUT
on app first launch or on newt device
reboot.
MANUALY remove shortcut using
com.android.launcher.action.UNINSTALL_SHORTCUT................
I have downloaded LauncherPro and Widget Locker. So, everytime I hit home, I get a choice of those two. I don't know why I got Widget Locker, I can't even figure out what it does.
How do I stop it from showing up as an option? I don't want to uninstall it, since I paid for it, and someday I may decide I want it.
I read sometimes in comments of applications that people can't uninstall the app. Has anyone come across this issue before? I have yet to have this problem but should I steer clear of people complaining about apps not uninstalling?

I am using Astro to uninstall this version of Swype.
I can install the beta one that they just released, but it then tells me a version of Swype is already installed.

Ok so I've got smoked glass 6.0.1 running great on my phone but I'm one of the many that are having problem with google maps. I opted to uninstall after installing the rom but I don't know how to do it. I've searched everywhere and they all say just go to manage apps and uninstall from there. I don't have the option to do it from there!...I then saw that you can try filtering and choosing one of the com.google......things that are listed but I don't have the one for maps. Lastly, I saw somewhere using adb shell does the job but I have NO IDEA how to do that.

Well after rooting with easy root I noticed it gives you some apps to check out now that your rooted...busy box being one of them...so I did it not knowing what it was.
Now I've realized I have no need for it but I know it installed itself into my bin and some other places I think...just wanting to know what is the proper way to get rid of all things busy box after running install?

I like the theme, but want to go back to the stock UD8, because I like LauncherPro and LP and Watermarked don't exactly match in design. Can I just re-install UD8 on top of what I already have without clearing data/cache, or should I do a complete data/cache wipe before re-installing UD8? In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running.
