My wife is having this issue, not me. She has a brand new gmail account and was trying to enter her CC info, and it had an error each time, for the past 2 days.
Should she attempt just setting up a Google checkout account on the web first and go from there? Is there another workaround?

I purchased a couple of apps last week, and there wasn't enough on the prepaid debit card I use for online purchases. They said pending. Once the money was there, the status went to purchased, but when I try to download either I get "download failed." The apps are Droid X/2 Overclock and Droid X Recovery Bootstrap. I've tried clearing the market cache, applying the market fix in build.prop. No dice. The phone is rooted, overclocked, and has a slightly modified build.prop (this postdates the download issue).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI stepped on my first Eris (don't ask) and had to get a replacement through Asurion. Well, I thought when I got my new phone I would be able to redownload all the apps I had purchased but I cant. The Market wants me to pay for them all again. I guess the market tracks you specifially with your phone, not your account. So I called Verizon, of course they were no help. The chick didn't even try to help, I asked her if I could get those apps back and she stalled for a second like she really didnt know but also didnt want to take the time to find out, then she said NOPE. I was like man, that sucks, she said YEP! That was the end of the conversation. Surely there is a way for me to get these apps back without paying for them again? I know they are inexpensive but when you have 10 or so they start to add up! Not to mention I had my first phone for less than a month and hardly got to enjoy the apps I purchased. I've thought about emailing the dev's but dont know if thats a good approach or not.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the paid Weatherbug app and live in Austin, Texas. The value reported by weatherunderground, weather.com, my car, as well as those drive-by LED billboards, tend to be within a couple of degrees of each other (usually 1-2 at max).
Weatherbug however (and correspondingly the Weatherbug site) tend to report temperatures 4-6 degrees lower. I understand that temperatures can vary across a metropolitan area, but 4-6 degrees?
I realize it's their data collection source rather than the phone app itself, otherwise their website wouldn't agree with the phone, which would be an app problem. I also realize it might be geographically isolated, but it's certainly consistently wrong at both my home and my job (26 miles apart, on opposite ends of town).
It would be nit-picking, except for the fact that it's a paid app, and I already dislike their radar/map. This is one paid app I wish I'd skipped.
I believe I have been quite reasonable, patiently waiting for you to deploy the paid application solution. I adopted Android early, took many punches and setbacks each time you rolled out a new SDK making major changes to the API. Now I am frustrated with how you are handling this situation. Everyday more and more applications hit the market for "free", in effect watering down the market and reducing my chance of making money on your platform.Does this sound greedy? Perhaps, but this is the real world. If I can't support my development by selling my product, I can't feed my family. Looks like it is back to the iPhone and the new Blackberry store.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi just got my EVO the beginning of the month. I have no problem downloading free apps from the "market" however I can't seem to download apps that need to be paid for. The message says there's a server error. But this has been going on for weeks. Someone on the internet suggested to someone who has the same problem as I do to go to "Google Checkout" on the computer and that should do the trick. Well that hasn't worked for me either.

Yesterday before rooting my phone i bought DocsToGo 2.0. After buying the software (Last Night) I rooted my phone. I installed the stock sprint rom but with root access. Since then I went to market place and tried to re-download docstogo paid version but I can't find it on the market. I see the free version and I dl that but it comes back and tell me that i need to buy the full version. I am using the same email address that was used when purchasing the app. Does anyone know why I can not see a paid version of DocToGo. Also, I searched for logmein (free) and can't find that app as well.

View 3 Replies View Relatedmy gmail account got hacked. Someone managed to break in, change my password, and send emails to all my contacts. I have created a new gmail account because I can not access the old one through any password recovery methods available through google. After changing passwords and emails on over 20 accounts, I am at my wit's end. I had to export over 400 contacts from my phone, load them up on PC, then cut out just under 300 (where the hell did all those come from?!) to get to my normal >100. I am now left with the following dilemmas: I have a new email address set up on my phone which works right now, but my gcal is stuck on the old address which will obviously not log in. Phone (Droid, 2.1 stock) is telling me I need to do a factory data reset to get the old account off. Is there any way around this? Also, I have several paid apps. With my original gmail account compromised, and I presume not recoverable, do I just lose all those purchases? I am also having trouble loading my ical backup file (the only way I can get my calendar events) into my new gmail account. The import screen just sits there, doing nothing. I tried searching the forum and net for answers, but I found nothing and have exhausted my mental capacity for this for right now.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe X is my first Android phone, and I am loving it. Night and day difference from the Storm I had. I have installed some free apps from the market. I am, however, unable to install any paid apps. I have tried a couple different ones so far. One was Beautiful Widgets and the other was Tapa talk. After selecting the Buy Now button, it prompts you to log in to your Google account. I do this and then it asks what you want to sync, not sure why that comes up. But then after selecting next, it just goes right back to the app with the Buy Now option. Anyone else seen this that can tell me what I am doing wrong?
