View 9 RepliesAnyone know where I can get themes for a Droid running stock ESE81 (rooted). I have seen themes for stuff like aHome or Panda Home, but I don't care for those. I like using LauncherPro or ADW.Launcher, but I don't know of any themes that can be either of those and stock ESE81. would love to find a dark "glass" type theme. I would however be cool with something simple that looked like the stock theme, but had a black or dark grey status bar.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI understand that it is an update designed specifically for the Droid, but apart from having a Droid specific baseband (which can be flashed separately) is there actually any reason to base ROMs on ESE81 instead of ESE53 or ERE25?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have tried rooting for the second time to no avail.
Is there a way to get rid of sprecovery. After that, how do I go from ese53 to ese81
As the title suggests, is it possible to add/implement apps2sd into an ESE81 ROM? This is the only feature CM offers that I am really after... I understand of course the kernel also has to allow for this, which AFAIK the regular ESE81 kernels do not do as of yet..
If not, hopefully CM for Droid gets more refined/polished specifically for the Droid itself soon..
Running perfectly. Very fast, responsive and smooth. I would suggest, however, to make the stock "Home" app your default desktop app the first time you boot up the new 2.1 update. Then you can test your theme in SH to make sure that it's all good. 2.1 has the Live Wallpapers (which seems very smooth, btw), but SH does NOT support them yet.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm running NexBeast ESE81 OC'd to 1100mhz (Running idle around 23c). I've had no issues whatsoever and, in fact, have been on this ROM since the day it was released (a record for me). However, this morning my phone was fully charged and sitting on my desk when it suddenly dropped to 5% charge. I panicked, rebooted the phone, and it now says 70% charged. What could have caused this? I searched and found someone had a similar issue but no one seemed to know a fix. My phone is running fine now, but I want to avoid further issues.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am sure there will be a ton of new post's once the OTA 2.2 actually releases so I want to get this out there now. If I download the OTA 2.2 and decide to root but something goes wrong I know I can flash the SBF to 2.1 but how would I get the OTA 2.2 back? Will the phone prompt me that an update is available when it is stock 2.1?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I installed handcent (luv it) I too have noticed I am getting duplicate messages each time a new message comes in. I get one notice on the status bar from handcent and one from the default text app. Is there anyway to disable the stock app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed that the contact pictures that are being used aren't those in my contacts (they have the FB pics) instead they are using the contact pictures I have up on Google in my contacts. Is there anyway to change that? Also, the box around the image makes the image very small, anyway to get rid of that?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi completly deleted the stock messaging app, ive been using Handcent, but now im having issues with Handcent sending mms so i looked it up and im not the only one. but it seems that people are still able to use the stock app to send mms. before i got handcent i was using the stock app and it was working fine.where can i get the stock app from? i am rooted and do not have the stock app backed up.

Is there a way to change the snooze time?
And is there a way for the calendar to handle contacts' bdays and anniversaries?
Right now Im on stock 2.1 rooted. A few little issues I had with other ROMs and overclocking are totally gone which is great. I would like to try some different kernels, however, to see if it was the ROM or just the kernels I was using.
Anyways, how do I get back to the stock kernel if I change to a different one? If I have a recent nandroid, can I just restore one of the partitions? I would like to retain all of my data throughout the process so Id like to avoid doing a full nandroid restore if possible should I have problems and just restore the kernel.
Thanks
Been away from custom roms for a while. Is there a stock ROM to go back to if I ever needed to bring my Droid back in for service?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am new at this so please excuse my ignorance on rooting. I am wanting to go from stock 2.1 to rooted 2.2. How exactly do I do this? can use the easy root app?
View 23 Replies View RelatedI have SetCpu, and I seen you can only take it up to 800Mhz max. Is this because that is all the stock Rom can do? Or am I missing
View 2 Replies View RelatedIts a simple question. I don't want to know why or why not, just if you are or aren't rooted.
View 49 Replies View RelatedSo long story short...and a lot of work later.
I rolled back to 2.01 sbf and got the update to 2.2 and it failed. I rolled back to ESE81 (2.1) sbf and got the update...and it failed. I ended up getting FRG22 off another forum and i am updated.
Now I want to find a FROYO SBF file so I can wipe and get a clean install of Froyo.
Do you think one will make it's way into the wild?
When I install LauncherPro it doesn't allow me to switch back to Stock without uninstalling LP. I've tried everything I can think of, including downloading the app Home Switcher, nothing seems to work. Has anyone else ran into this issue, or know how I can fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn Monday night I put in an order for the car dock at verizonwireless.com. It said "In Stock!" and had free overnight shipping. I was happy.
Tuesday morning I get an e-mail from verizonwireless saying that the dock was back ordered. I called my local Verizon store to see if they had any. "I think they are our across the country" was the reply. I was sad...
Anybody know where there is stock?
What themes are compatible for the stock ROM ?
Rooted + deodexed
I've seen this type of comment a few times lately and it's got me wondering if I should take the time to delete the stock launcher. I'm using LauncherPro.
From Chevy:
"If you DO use another launcher, use my tools to DELETE the stock Launcher2 (it will back up to SD). Otherwise, it will still take resources even though you don't run it."
That being said, how do I delete the stock launcher on CM RC3? Root Explorer?
I like the stock launcher the best, along with the Motorola widgets. Well actually, I just need the quick tasks for contacts, which is why I want the widgets. When I apply themes, is there any way to keep the stock launcher instead of the preinstalled ADW or LP? And if so, will this allow me to use the Moto widgets? Or are these widgets/Blur part of something else?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI will experiment with both but I think I'm gonna end up with Launcher Pro. I love it! What will you use for your X?
View 49 Replies View RelatedWhat are you going to use? Launcher Pro or the Moto Blur? And what is launcher pro? How does it work? Where do you download it?
View 30 Replies View RelatedSo I just purchased an incredible (couldn't resist lol).. And now I am trying to sell my droid on ebay (if anyone is interested let me know!), but whenever I used RomManager to revert back to stock image. I get an error and it fails. I have already ported my number over to my incredible, so I can only use wifi. So what other way is there to go back to stock so I can wipe the device and sell it. Or is there some other way that I am not thinking of? Something on the phone, like stock image I can flash through clockwork recovery and be done? (if so anyone have a link?)
