I am a new Droid user!!! I just switched from the Eris to the droid and I love it, not to say that I didn't love my eris. I switched for a couple of reasons, Flash, Keyboard, Live wallpapers and the speed of the Droid. I still have the Eris but its not in use anymore. I have a couple of questions. I'm looking for a good case to protect my droid without making it overly bulky.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI bought the one from RadioShack for my HTC EVO but when I got home and put it on, I don't like it. It recesses the camera lens, which I like because it isn't sitting right on it now, but the edges of the case don't fit well and are kind of bowed on both sides. Plus it's really bulky and I can't slide it into my pocket now.
I like the silicone cases; anyone use one that isn't really bulky and actually fits well?
So I'm looking around the web for a good belt case / holster for my new Droid, but all the ones I've seen have a magnetic flap to keep them closed. While this is great, wont this confuse the Droid into thinking it's docked (and thus drain the battery)?

I want to keep my evo in pristine condition and want something that won't scratch it and that I can get in less then a weak. I saw the active seidio case on amazon but shipping estimates are 3-4 weeks from now and that just won't happen. I know I will probably have to go with a silicon case and I'm ok with that.

I see all the two piece rubber cases, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a one piece case that exists for the Droid (like those you put on a Blackberry). I never use the slide out keyboard and would just assume cover it so it stops accidentally sliding open.

Well I'm trying to put busybox on my droid. I've got it on there but I'm having problems with making a directory on my phone, which I need to do to continue.
Anyway, what's happening is, ill put in mkdir /system/xbin and it returns "mkdir failed. Read only filesystem." This is after Ive already launched busybox. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
So I have my X in a cheap hard case till outterbox makes one. Has anyone dropped their phone yet? If so, how did it hold up? was there any damage?

View 11 Replies View RelatedSo we've had the Droid since November, I used it, no problems, then it got passed down to my technologically challenged husband after he "accidentally" broke his flip phone in half.
He put some apps on it, and now it's constantly making sounds confirming every action, despite making sure that was unchecked in settings. (It's quiet when he has media volume turned off, but then he has to manually turn it back on every time he wants to play a game or watch a video.)
I factory reset once, and it was fine, then he put all the same apps back on it, and it started up again. I have now done three more resets, and not only is it not going away, but his same wallpaper keeps coming back, despite it not showing anywhere in the phone's internal memory through Astro, and making sure I had the memory card taken out while resetting. Not only that, but when I attempt to mount the phone to the computer, the memory card shows up, but not the internal memory.
Did he get a virus? Does anyone have any other ideas of how to resolve this?
I just went to recovery and chose Nandroid backup and Backup, it successfully did it and I restarted. Now, my question is, what folder on my SD card do I backup that has the Nandroid? What's the name of it? I couldn't find one called "nandroid".
