If someone posted about this already please disregard it but I just noticed that when I restarted my phone my battery went from showing as 30% before to 60% after. Anyone else notice this happen?

I was wondering if the weather app that Moto has built in still uses the same amount of battery/data regardless of whether or not it is on the home screen. I took the widget off the home screen and stopped the weather process and it just comes back anyway. So the weather process is still running in the background. I'd like to use the weather widget, but don't want to deal with battery drain. Bad enough my phone has reset itself twice in the last 24 hours.

I had a problem with my last phone with the battery losing the amount of charge it could hold because of the way I charged it. What should I do with the Droid out of the box to ensure this doesn't happen?

I got my Droid X on release day and I'm loving it, but I've noticed a bit of a weird issue. I don't charge my phone in the course of a day... letting the battery drain as much as possible before plugging it in... but several times now I've noticed that my battery meter actually increases when I restart the phone. Yesterday I drained it to 20%, restarted the phone, and it was at 70%. Tonight it got down to 40%, I restarted it, and now it's at 80%... and these aren't just fluke readings that go away after 5-10 minutes... the battery drains consistently from that percentage point.

If I ever want to restart my phone I have to pull my battery multiple times to get it to boot. It will load the Motorola M and sit there. Usually takes about 2 or 3 battery pulls to move onto the droid logo. I am on 2.3.9 Leak and am running the Revolution Theme.

I would like to restart my application, just like when you change from horizontal to vertical. Something like finish, but I don't want to exit the program.

Well this is really a two question thread, I'm new to Android.
1) Which multi-protocol (AIM, Facebook, MSN, etc) client eats the least amount of battery?
I downloaded Meebo and it seems pretty good (heard eBuddy is worse in consumption), I'm wondering if there's anything better.
2) Does GTalk consume the least amount of battery since it's integrated with Android in comparison to third party clients?
As of now I don't have any friends who use GTalk but I'm trying to convince a few to get it.

I've read that BLUR refreshes all the info it needs for it's social widgets every 15 minutes even if you don't have any widgets placed on your home screen. I'm thinking about buying a Cliq but the fact that BLUR is a battery killer turns me off since the main reason I want to upgrade from my G1 is to have a phone with a keyboard that has better battery life. Is there any way to turn this "Auto refresh" feature off or at least make it longer than every 15 minutes? Even better are there any BLURless roms out there? has any1 tried deleting the BLUR widgets apk? would that make it so it doesnt have to "refresh"? having more memory available from being BLURless is just icing on the cake what really matters to me is battery life.

This issue is actually my friends droid, but he has 0 internet without his droid and now it's broken. His droid not rooted, not dropped, never wet, no damage, etc -- will only power on after being plugged into a wall outlet. After being plugged in, it automatically starts up, gets to the motorola icon and sometimes the eye, and then reboots. Two things to note:While booting, the led flashes red, indicating a bad battery. However, on occasion, it will reach the unlock screen for mere seconds stating that the battery is at 60%.I can access recovery and do everything there normally without a restart. The only solution I can think of is a factory hard reset.

Sometimes, after manually locking the phone, I'll try to unlock the phone but the "swipe" bar no longer shows up. It's almost comical when this happens, as I can get phone calls, emails, texts etc during those times (I can even pick up/reply), but the phone goes immediately to that "swipe less" lock screen right afterward. There is no way for me to unlock the phone (even a long press on the lock button doesn't work), so I have to take off the case and do a battery pull to reset. Has any experienced this and does anyone have any fixes for it?

Every couple of days my email stops importing messages and once I realize it, I have to reboot the phone in order for it to start working again. I've tried refreshing each account, but it doesn't do anything until I turn off the phone and then turn it on again. Is there another way to restart the email services without restarting the phone? I have three email accounts (g mail, hot mail, and a work email), and they're either all working or all not working.

I've never really used the video-recording until today. After maybe 3-5 seconds of recording, my phone will automatically restart. It's happened 3 out of 3 times, and one of those times it was stuck on the big M [battery pull fixed it]. I am rooted, but not running any ROMs or Themes. I am overclocked to 1.45ghz [if this makes a difference].

While using my Galaxy i9500 it crashes and phone automatically restarts with 0% battery percent
I tried this Battery Calibration app but it didn't work It says battery stats file doesn't exist!
I tried installing new rom but now as soon as I turn on the device it works for like 2 minutes in its real charging percent (e.g 60%) then crashes and restarts to 0%
The battery is original and It's not swollen.

I rooted my Droid today for the first time. The first time it turned on after installing the new ROM it kept resetting after the MOTO icon would come up.It was doing this for quite a while and I kept removing the battery and powering off and on and then finally it started up.Phone was running great after that and was OCing at 800.Used it for about 5 hours like this. Then I went to set up OC profiles and hit refresh and now the phone keeps resetting at Moto icon again and hasn't turned back on.Is there something I can do to fix this?

These little bugs are starting to get annoying. This morning no sound on phone. Restart the unit and all is fine. If people had to restart and pull the battery as much on a BB Storm, they'd be complaining like crazy. Actually I rarely had to pull the battery on my Storm. Of course the Storm sat for a long time trying to load a website, but it did.
This thing is starting to bug me. It's official now. Open media and Camera Roll doesn't show it's icon half the time. Start it up and everything on SD card takes a while to show an icon. Go to Market and every other time nothing loads. This little stuff is adding up. Feel free to add your little bugs.

I am developing a ToDo reminder type of app for android. on creation of a new reminder an alarm and vibrator scheduler is created with a toast. This works on intents and broadcasts and is pretty straight forward stuff with putextras using the reminder id from the db. My problem is, if some one restart the phone, i guess all the scheduled alarm and vibrator tasks for the reminder will be killed. Once the phone restart again how to recreate the scheduler tasks.

Anybody notice that the stock battery icon doesn't turn amber when it drops to 29% and below after 1.47.651.1? I use the app "Battery Indicator" and I see when I drop to 29% or below in the battery, Battery Indicator turns amber, but the stock icon does not.

Has anyone been able to adjust the amount of rings on their phone? My phone rings about 6 times before it goes to voicemail but my girlfriend's phone rings only 4 times. I brought both numbers over from T-Mobile where they each rang about 4 times but now w/Verizon mine went up to 6. Tried calling tech support about it and they said there wasn't a setting for this on the phone itself and they gave me an answer like some phones just tend to connect to the network faster.

I want to take my activity the entire screen of the device and I could do that by making appropriate changes in the android manifest file (Theme. NoTitleBar .Fullscreen). But, now I just want battery status icon on my screen alongwith other components of my activity. Is that possible?if yes, then how? I tried to use battery manager but, it does not expose such interfaces. I guess its mainly useful for checking and using battery life status and firing intents appropriately. I use different ringtones for as many as 12 contacts so that I know who's calling me! Once in a while when the last person that has a dedicated ringtone calls me the default phone ringer set itself to that person's ringtone. I turned off my phone took the battery off and the rebooted, the problem goes away for a awhile and before you know it happens again! It's really bothersome when you think a particular person is calling you, (because of a ringtone) you answer and it someone else.
