Lost my movie Avatar off my phone. Any clue on how to get it back? Next question. I would love to start putting movies on my phone (rerun), anyway, what is the best program that I can load on my computer to rip/burn or whatever to see those movies like the movie Avatar?

My wife has an Eris (Android 2.1) and I have a D2G (loving the upgraded hardware). So, how can I put movies on my phone and how do I watch them once they are there?

I have digital copies of a Wanted and Matrix and Toy Story 3 already on my computer. View 6 Replies View RelatedWhile going through the Galaxy S manual I noticed that mkv video files were supported. I grabbed a backup copy I have of my Avatar Blu-Ray, in mkv format. I chopped it using a muxer to 1gb and transferred it to the phone. I don't remember which specific muxer I used, but it's so that I would t have to re-render the movie.I was floored by how gorgeous the movie looks on the 4' screen. Vibrant colors, no lag during playback and very good details. For some reason the audio is not working but my avi audio playback are nice, especially with the virtual 5.1.
I played with the tone controls and the brightness. By far this is my most impressive media moment with any smartphone.What is your most impressive media moment with the device, so far?my Droidx and Evo4g coworkers are jealous. I out performed them in benchmarks and the screen "vibrancy" wins by a mile.
I've checked multiple threads, and gotten some answers, but some had some technical stuff that I just didn't understand. I just want to know how I can take movies I own on DVD and put them on my Evo so I can watch them whenever I want to, and doing it for free would be the ultimate answer! I don't know about resolutions and mb vs kb and all that stuff. (I'm only a wannabe geek)

1) Download app called ota rootkeeper from the android marketplace.
2) Open app and protect root.
3) Click "temp unroot".
4) When done watching movie go to ota rootkeeper and restore root.
Every time you want to use Google play you must do this.
That isn't handbrake. I can't use handbrake. I keep getting a weird error with it when I try to compile my movies to mp4. The devs for handbrake basically said they were sorry but it wont work on my system. Anyway, anyone know of a good program I can use to encode for the droid?

When I try to watch a clip on YouTube it takes ages to load.9/10 times it does not play.WHY? Also I wanted to see a clip on BBC Sport page. Guess what it�s not supported. I can't even go onto my local radio station website and listen live.Whats the point in this phone.
