View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from iPhone to nexus 5.On the iPhone long pressing gave the options to copy and paste single word or whole paragraphs. In SwiftKey on the nexus, long pressing brings up a blue pointer that gives me just the option to delete the word before it. I can't see any way to select a line of paragraph, then copy and paste it.
View 1 Replies View Relatedso yesterday I've noticed that the GMAIL app (not the HTC EVO native app) does not let you copy text from the body of the email. Was trying to copy a tracking number and paste into Dolphin but no go. Tried in the HTC Mail and it worked.
I prefer the GMAIL app (PUSH) over the HTC Mail but will never go back to it if this does not have a fix.
WTH Google? Seriously?? No Copy and Paste?
I thought you learned from Crapple's mistake
Is it possible to Copy/Paste within the Gmail App? I could not figure out how to do so on my previous BBs but figured that the Android OS would be better integrated. Am I missing something? I hate having to memorize address for inputting into GMaps.
Ever since my first cell phone, my ability to memorize more than 3 consecutive numbers has virtually disappeared.
I have used the search facility but can't find an answer to my query. How do I copy one or two lines from a longer email and paste it onto a new email or even an SMS?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI forgot my password to this very site, so I reset it from my droid. A couple of seconds later I receive an email with my temporary password, I try to copy it to paste it into the login window in the browser and I find myself at a loss on how to copy text from an email. I google around and find this: How do you copy/paste text from the Gmail app? - Android Community Forums. It says it is not possible? (The provided workaround does not work). This is a major bummer, I've been doing this on my old BlackBerry for years.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI will be receiving my Incredible tomorrow and have a question about copy and paste. I am coming off an iPhone 3G where you can copy and paste in pretty much all of the applications. My question is: which standard applications (applications that come pre-loaded on the phone) can you utilize the copy and paste functionality? Is it done differently within certain apps or is there a standard proceedure throughout?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI know it's hard to believe, but stuff like this sticks out like a thumb to me as a Copy & Paste error. From the source I've been looking at for TextView (please correct me if I'm in the wrong place) at:
http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/frameworks/base.git;a=blob;...
This is in the setCompoundDrawables() function, after we've determined that we indeed have a Drawable to set: 1371 if (dr == null) {1371 mDrawables = dr = new Drawables(); 1372 } 1373
This is okay
