However, when I view my app on the home screen, the icon looks literally half the size of Skype's icon.. or any other icon for that matter. I think for tabbed menus, the size is 48x48 - can someone confirm?

If not could someone make me one from a picture or explain how to reduce the pic to a sice for the Icon? Currently I downloaded the Windows 7 icon pack from the market and i'm using the default cell phone icon which looks like an old canybar Nokia.

Nov 24, 2010I just switched from Evo to Epic. (Loved Evo but mine had known h/w issue where screen does not respond to touch).
The Evo had a Google search icon that was the same square size as other icons. The Epic has the big horizontal one. I would like smaller icon to regain some real estate. Possible?
Also, on my default 5th home screen are icons for Cnn, youtube, and ESPN. I would like icons for my fave websites. Any easy way to do that. I bookmarked them in my browser, but that involves opening browser and clicking bookmarks, etc.

Nov 16, 2010Today, I had the joy to stumble upon one of the numerous Android wonders: LauncherPro. I have played around with it a bit and must admit that a vast array of possibilities has opened to me.
This got me thinking - my girlfriend is an Arts student and can undoubtedly pull out some pretty fancy things on Adobe Illustrator or whatever absurdly overpriced and complex devices and programs they use in this branch. She could design my own little icons
So, could anyone please be kind enough to enlighten me on the format & size of:Normal application icons
Dock icons (slightly smaller I'd assume) HTC Desire Wallpapers And whatever else there is that I can't think of...
e.g. "Well, my dear Lmkt, regular icons are usually 58*74 pixels and should be in jpg or png format."

Jan 4, 2013I wanted to change the size of my icons, so that more of them could fit on the screen. So I download LCD Density Modder and Increased the amount to 160. After I booted my phone, my screen got zoomed in instead of decreasing. Now I cant even type up my password cause the numbers can't fit in the screen. I have no access to my phone because my phone is locked. Btw, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (rooted) .

Jul 31, 2010Anyone know (with our phones running 2.2) what the optimal heap size should be? The leaked 2.2 came with 24m preset. Some ROMs run 32m. Bigger always seems better, but I've been reading other sites/forums and get conflicting thoughts.
That's why I thought I'd ask here.
I ran Linpack with both and average about 37.5 - 37.9 with either 24m or 32m.
