Aug 16, 2010Does anyone know how to disable the stock dialer? Before 2.1 you could download a dialer and make it the default. Now, with 2.1, that is not possible. So the large "phone" button on the home page is is still the stock dialer even though I have downloaded Dailer One.

HTC Incredible :: Unrevoked 3 2.2 Rooting Method With Only Stock 2gig Sd Card?
Sep 21, 2010In the thread that has a guide to rooting with unrevoked 3 it states that you should have a 2gig available on the sd card, but also states if you have less than 4 gigs available you must format. Is it ok then to format the card if its only 2gigs to being with and root it that way? Sorry sounds confusing, I'm just wondering if 2gigs is enough.

Aug 28, 2010Obviously a noob, I have looked through the threads, and it appears you can restore a rooted phone to an un-rooted phone?
My question is, if I root my EVO and then have some sort of hardware issue that would possibly require a replacement or repair of the device by Sprint, can I restore it to it's pre-rooted condition such that Sprint or HTC cannot detect that it was rooted? Or, if I root it, should I just drop the repair insurance for it, because I am basically jumping off the insurance cliff when I root it?
HTC Incredible :: Lag Using Phone Dialer?
May 7, 2010Is anyone else experiencing lag when using the phone dialer or when answering a phone call?When I go through my contacts and pick someone I want to call, I touch their name, and it takes a good 5-7 secs before it starts calling that person.Same thing when I receive a call. When my phone rings and I have an incoming call, when I swipe down, it'll take another 5-7 seconds after the swipe (since I guess this action lets you answer the call directly) before I am connected to that person.

Oct 29, 2012I have an HTC Rezound. But this issue goes deeper than just the Rezound or even Sense phones.
I installed a dialer app that I *LOVE*...it is faster and more usable than sense, and even themeable. It works perfectly. The problem is that for incoming called, Sense keeps rearing it's fugly head and forcing me to use it.
I have tried disabling various processes and that damn app still comes up on incoming calls. How to make the fugly Sense dialer go away for good without having to root? I do have ICS installed.

He has no backup for that stock dialer or a nandroid, and the phone is on stock 2.2.2, so looking for lg stock dialer apk from 2.2.2.

Nov 6, 2013I have a Galaxy S3 i747 that I recently rooted. I use TWRP, ROM Toolbox Pro, and have a backup of everything. While in App Manager, I accidentally sent my stock dialer to user apps. I see the icon in my app drawer so I know its not uninstalled. But I cannot get to it in ROM Toolbox under user apps to switch it back. Since then I cannot connect to the network as expected. I flashed CM 10.2 to see if that would solve my issue...it has not. I can receive incoming calls and SMS but cannot call out. I was also unable to flash Gapps.

Feb 8, 2014I was erasing some stuff with titanium backup and I delete intentionally the people app, because I didn't want my phone list on the google account; however deleting people app has broken somehow the dialer too and now I can't use it anymore.
I tryed to delete totally the stock dialer and installing a new one downloaded from google play store but it still doesn't work (I couldn't see while calling).
I tryed to download and use the .apk files from kitkat but none of them works.

Jul 16, 2010Everytime i open up the dialer on my x it works fine in the sense of letting me dial a number. However, if i switch to the favorites or contacts tabs at the top my phone will exit out of the dialer back to the home screen. I hope this is something that can be fixed over an update. Btw if i go directly to contacts from the home scrren it works fine.

May 21, 2010Before the OTA I was able to select which apllication was used when the large "phone" button was pushed on the homepage. I think what used to happen was that when you downloaded a new phone dialer and then pressed the phone button the first time you were given an option as to what app you want to use for this action. Once you chose an app it was always activated when you pressed the phone button. I don't see this happening anymore.
