View 2 RepliesIt has be reported that Apps cannot be saved in the 8gb internal memory but in the 512mb rom. Is that a problem for anybody? Reviews from Infosyncvideos and the androidcommunity stated the problem. I dunno how big apps are but it shouldn't be a big problem.

what else can i try so that i can see internal memory so i can put music on it?
I added about 4 gigs of music and 2 gigs of movies to the internal memory of my Inc. Now the music files play when I go into the music player, but when I go into Astro file manager, I can't find the videos or music anywhere. I put them under music and video folders, but nothing. They still show when I am on the computer connected to the phone.I know it isn't the file either, because I added the same movie to the 2 gig card, and it's showing up under astro for that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe HTC Desire has limited memory of around 570Mb RAM and 512Mb ROM. The MicroSD card can hold up to 32Gb. So, why can't HTC allow apps be stored in MicroSD card? If HTC/Google's concerned about piracy issues, i.e. copies of apps from microSD card to another microSD card, etc. There is one way round to this problem: They could have installed some kind of unique crypto-key within the Desire's ROM, and any apps saved to the microSD card are automatically encrypted on-the-fly with this crypto-key.
When apps are accessed, it is decrypted on-the-fly, too. In other words, apps will ONLY work with THAT phone it shares the SAME crypto-key. Putting a microSD card containing apps into another Android phone will not work, thus solving the piracy issue. Therefore, a message to HTC: Please allow apps to microSD card (as much as 32Gb card) and BEAT iPhone/Nokia N900 at their game!
I have a galaxy portal 2.2. The internal memory was getting full so I installed a new 4gb sd card thinking it would give me more storage, this is ok for music photos etc. but seems apps are stored on phone memory, when I want to get new apps I have to remove some old ones , I've looked on market for an apps to keep apps on sd card, but can't find anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was a self confessed iphone lover.. But a few days ago curiosity got me and I decided to get a Galaxy S3.
I can't say how much a love this phone and am a bit ashamed that I didn't realize how great android devices were. So far I have been able to find out on my own how to do pretty much everything I needed done except for one thing.
I work in music hence have a lot of music on my phone. I didn't want to restart the cataloging process of recreating playlist after playlist. So i found a solution to transfer my itunes to my phone.
I did this with Air Sync and DoubleTwist. The main problem I have is it put all of my music on my internal memory card and now it is full. I have a 32gb external SD card that is empty right now and was wondering if there is a solution to quickly transfer all of my music from the internal memory to the SD card. Furthermore I would like for the air sync / doubleTwist software to put all future music on the SD card as well.
Can you do that without connecting to a computer? My computer is being repaired and I have no more memory in the sd card. Can it be done or should I buy another one for now?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Back Beat stereo bluetooth headset for my HERO. After listening for a few days I got a warning stating that my internal memory was getting low. Soon after that, I could not receive text anymore. I did a hard reset on the phone and the memory was restored, but this is the only way I could get the memory to come back. Is there any way to restore the internal memory without doing a hard reset and loosing everything?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to the storage settings, it says that I have a 1.86gb (2gb) sd card, and only 649MB available on my internal phone storage. Do I have a different version or something? I was told that the Incredible have 8gb of internal phone storage.
View 12 Replies View RelatedThe Dinc has a lot of internal memory but what use is it? Most apps do not see media in internal memory. Now with Froyo coming I see some discussions on the ability to install apps to the SD. Why? What are they freeing the space up for? I have a 16GB SD and space isn't really a factor for me. But, isn't internal memory faster than card access? How can I best use that space?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis folder includes screen shots that are used for Internet Browser bookmarks. It also includes screen shots of web pages that I did not choose to bookmark. When I clear cache while in "Internet" in "Manage Applications" it does not remove these jpg files that are not being used for bookmarks. When I clear everything while in Internet app (in settings) it does not remove these jpg files either. It also does not remove them from within the HistoryEraser app. The only way I can remove the jpg files is with Astro or when connected to PC. I have to go through them and erase jpgs that I do not want there.
There were 72 jpg files in that directory and they go all the way back to when I got phone (on 4/29). I have only added 5 bookmarks myself during that time. They do not take up a lot of space but I just don't want them there.
Have you been putting your music, pics, videos, etc., on your SD, or your Internal 8G? I've been putting most on my 8G Class6 SD. Just felt like the phone would continue to run better if that Internal Memory wasn't loaded up? What do you guys think....opinions....?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know a lot of apps using microsd for storage. I am not talking about the app themself I know they are limited to the storage in ROM I am just talking about data the app reads/write. I was searching why my maps weren't working with the weather channel app and found this thread:
http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible/71829-weather-channel-radar-not-working.html
Also tried to download and use Epicurus and it crashes every time (thinking it stores usage data on your MicroSD. I'm theorizing because I don't have a microsd card in my phone and maybe a lot of apps have trouble using the incredible internal 8GB of memory? Thinking on buying a 8GB MicroSD card just for this.
I just got my Droid Incredible a few days ago and am really enjoying it.However, when I use the USB cable to plug in my phone to sync music/movies from my computer (Windows 7, 64 bit), it only recognizes the 2 gig MicroSD card that came with the phone, but not the 8GB Internal Memory. When I plug in the phone, the phone itself asks me if I want to charge or use disk mode and I have it set to disk mode.I can copy to the 2GB MicroSD card with no problems.Tried rebooting the phone and my computer, have all the latest Windows updates, etc.Any idea why my computer isn't seeing the 8GB internal memory? Is there a driver I need to install for it or some other setting on my phone? Can it only see either the microSD card or the Internal memory at one time, so I have to take out the SD card (that would be lame)?

I have all my pictures stored on the internal memory (boo). Is there any way to get to the internal memory given that I can't set the phone to USB Debugging mode? Is there an app that I can install on my pc that will allow me to "press buttons" on the phone? I have installed DroidExplorer and I can see the phone, and the sync works... But thats it.

With the latest version of Rockplayer there is a menu setting for System Player. If you check that.....

Using the internal memory now while watching an xvid.
I have PSX4droid and I'm trying to load a game thats on my phones internal memory (my sd card is full) but I can't seem to access the game within the program.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Installed the new leaked froyo and now my camera does not work. Both Pic and video app come up but the screen is black. Also my internal 8gb of storage says "Unavailable". I tried formatting the storage a few times and reboot each time and nothing.
I had root my Dinc the old way so I unrooted back to stock, installed the first OTA, then rooted using the Unprovoked tool then installed the 2.2 zip file. Every step went exactly as the videos showed. Can anyone help me?
