View 5 RepliesI know this will sound like a weird question, but I was wondering if there is any way to reduce the earpiece volume? Even at it?s lowest setting it is a little louder than I prefer. Don?t know if there is an app or anything else that can be done to control the volume beyond what the phone does on it?s own? I know I could try Bluetooth, but that?s not always convenient.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDo you have any recommendations for Hero's headphones with track and volume control ? Ones that comes in the box are ok, but doesn't allow me to control volume . I've got white edition of Hero so same color will be nice but if not, I will survive.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen my hero was on 1.5, normal stereo headphones attached worked a-ok if I used the toggleheadset app. Now I have upgraded to 2.1, when I attach the headphones it automatically detects them but sends the volume down to vibrate... if I try to increase the volume using the volume switch it either tries to increase but forces it back down again or shoots up to maximum... Anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it? I have removed the toggle app above, and I have restarted the phone. Also, when I attached the headphones sometimes the phone just goes into vibrate mode and stays that way... i.e. it just continoulsy vibrates until I press the home key.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed with my T-Mobile G2 that there is no call waiting alert with the default settings, so I'm never aware of someone trying to ring me from within another call - a function that's been standard on every other mobile I've used.
I'm sure it must be possible to set this up, but can't seem to find out how to do it. Very annoying, as I invariably get calls on top of one another and people are starting to tell me they're sick of being put through to my voicemail.
In the Android phone, while I am watching YouTube videos, I may reduce the audio volume. Once I am done watching, I close all applications and leave the phone. Then when there is a incoming call, the ringer is very feeble. I may miss that call. Can you make the volume adjustment apply only for that application? I don't want the ringer volume get changed.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI use in-ear headphones which usually perform at very high volume. That is to say, I have to put the volume very low on the phone for an optimal use.
However, my HTC Desire, even at the lowest possible volume, is still too loud for my fragile ears. Is there any way to fix this and change volume settings?
Why is it hard to find headphones with volume buttons? It seems like something that is an easy thing to implement. Why can the iphone do it and not android.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that when I have my headphones plugged in (but not in my ears) and the phone rings, the ring tone comes out of both (the phone and the headphones, which is fine) but it is not as loud out of the phone as when the headphones out not plugged in. If I pull the headphones out while its ringing the phone starts ringing almost twice as loud. Anyone know how I can make sure the phone will ring at full volume for those times when I forget to take my headphones out and put everything in pocket?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've searched this forum, but couldn't find the post that is same problem as mine, so I'm hoping you guys could help me out.I updated my HTC Desire a week ago to Froyo, and was having no trouble until today, when I plugged my headphones into my Desire, I couldn't change its volume when I played the music on the device. Even I pressed the volume controls on the left, it didn't change. It stayed in loud volume. I went to setting on Desire, and changed the media volume, but still nothing. I did the Factory data reset twice today, but still having the same problem. Also, this has nothing to do with the volume issue, but I cannot turn my cell phone off. Every time I tried to turn it off by pressing the button on the left top, it once does turn off, but few seconds later, it turns on automatically. I didn't know if I should create two different threads for each of them or not.
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot a Desire partly because once the 32GB comes out (on pre-order) I'll be using it as an mp3 player as well as a phone. Managed to find a good program to sync my music with it (MediaMonkey) and now the only other hurdle to this seems to be the volume levels which are too low for my liking. Will simply getting headphones with a volume control push the volume up further? I'm planning on buying some headphones for it that'll include a mic, volume control and maybe a couple of buttons to control the music, but is there anything that has all these? I'm not keen on bluetooth devices in the slightest, so just want some super-duper in-ear headphones really.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter the last firmware update the sound was pretty low,so i wanted to increase the volume... tried the volume hack but it did not increase the headphone volume, only the handset volume..... this is kinda a hardware fix...
Do this at your own risk
first close musi app
then open dailer an type :
*#197328640#*
This will open service mode
here click [8] audio
then click [2] headset
then click [2] rx value
then click [5] rx codec for midi
then click [1] rx codec gain:
Then pres menu key, key input, and type in 5fff , this increases the gain to about 4db,wich is in my opinion the best option. after u inputed the value pres menu key and select end. no restart needed, just open music player and press play and you will see the differences. I was about to sell my i7500 because of lack of headphone volume but now im happy...i think this will work with i5700 and moment, haven;t tried it though!
Anyone else getting a crackling sound out of their headphones when media volume is 100%? If I turn it down one notch the crackling disappears. Headphones are not the issues as I have verified this on 3 different pair. Im gonna see if my wifes droid does the same thing but figured I would post up and see what others thought.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a Samsung WEP870 bluetooth headset. I really like the headset and its features, however when I have it paired with my Sprint HTC Hero the volume performance isn't very good. I have to turn the volume all the way up on the phone and the headset, and can still barely hear the person I'm talking to. Anyone else having this issue with other headsets? I don't have another headset to compare the Samsung to.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had the Desire for about 3 weeks now and it's a brilliant phone. However, quite often I listen to music from my Desire through my headphones to help me get to sleep. Unfortunately though, the lowest media volume setting is too loud through my headphones. It's seems to be either a choice of no music (i.e media volume turned to zero) or the next level up (which is too loud). Is there anyway to get a volume in between the two? I've tried apps such as AudioManager but to no avail
View 2 Replies View RelatedPlugging in headphones automatically adjusts to "safe" level. I hate this. Is there a mod (Xposed?) that prevents the volume from resetting? I'm not talking about the toast/pop-up about unsafe volume levels being dangerous (I've disabled that with Wanam). The devices I'm using are the Samsung Galaxy Light and LG 8.3 G Pad, both running 4.2.2, but I'm pretty sure it's a universal thing and the actual devices don't matter.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app that will reduce the sound of my voice call quality (either just outbound or both). Preferably something I can turn on when a phone call gets too long and I need an excuse to hang up, but something that I can just have on and will make every phone call sound bad would work,

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an app for increasing the ringer/alert volume on the HTC Incredible? The original Motorola Droid had plenty of volume, but the phone sucked. Now we have the Incredible that works great, but only if you hear the ringer.Has there been any discussion about an update, because I haven't seen anything? I did see discussion though about the Motorola Droid X.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there an app or widget that will turn off the alert volume at set times? I need to keep my phone on at all times, but the notifications wake me up. I only need the ringer on. I just want an easy way to turn off the notifications and alerts rather than having to open up the options every night.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen listening music, using Mediascape, I get an incoming call. When I accept it, music stops and I hear the caller. But the built-in mic doesn't seem to work when I have the headphones still plugged in? So the caller can't hear me talk... Is this a setting I have overlooked? Does anyone know how to keep the built-in mic working when I have just headphones (Sennheiser IE7 without mic obviously) plugged in?
View 2 Replies View Relatedscoured "call volume" threads and not sure if this is experienced by anyone else. Intermittently when I answer a call I can barely hear the other person. Call volume is at the highest setting. I try making it lower then higher and nothing changes. If I end the call and call the same person back I will get normal call volume behavior. This happens every 5-10 phone calls.

Since I have updated to Froyo on Tuesday, via software update on phone, my evo 4g has picked up an annoying habit. I use the stock messenger app. If I receive a text message while on a call, it plays the text alert music in my earpiece and I can't even hear the person on the phone to save my life. If I were to turn on the speaker, it is alot worse.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it just me or has anyone else noticed that they removed the text alert while on the phone w the recent 3.29.651.5 update? They added it to the update before this, but then removed it again on the the up to date software. I can't find anywhere on this forum where anyone else cares about this removal. Just thought I'd see if I'm the only one who misses this feature lol. And yes, I'm aware of Handcent and Chomp but I really prefer stock.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI notice that when im on a call and someone texts me I don't get any alert whatsoever. I have to look at my phone to see the text alert on the top bar. This is pretty silly and im hoping its just a setting that needs to be changed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just found this and it definitely works on my rooted hero. What i did was went to market, download "bubble" app, calibrated g sensor, then calibrated all 3 levels on bubble app. It really worked, i have no idea how or why, but it does. Try it out and post back when you see the difference.
