After upgrading to tazz 6.9 black rain and vanilla versions, chrome to phone will not work. my computer sends the link, but it never shows up on my phone.
I am running a froyo 2.2 rom and have had it working before. anyone else have chrome to phone just stop working recently?

Is anyone having trouble with Chrome to phone? or Fox to phone? It was working like a charm and then stopped sending pages. It happens on every computer I use it on and every browser. All I get is nothing or and error "error can't send page" from a Chrome browser and I actually it the devs page on Fox to phone saying 404 page not found. I've uninsulated and reinstalled both the phone app and the browsers plug ins numerous times. After doing that it may work once but generally does the same thing.

View 15 Replies View RelatedTwo days back I had upgraded my X10mini to andriod 2.1. 24 hours after upgrade the screen got freezed. Its showing FM screen and the restart button is also not working. If I press the power button, screen lights on for some time and goes off. I can't remove the battery as the battery is fixed. Please let me know if you know some other way to restart the phone.

Basically my question is are these features that would just need to be turned on in the ROMs or are these things going to be released in future Froyo updates? I understand for Chrome to Phone it's going to be a plugin in Chrome and a download from the market for the phones.

After doing some research I've found Chrome to Phone available in the Market and in the Chrome Extensions. Works perfectly
Initially got the package signed incorrectly error for the Voice Search, did a nand backup, used titanium to uninstall the default voice search, rebooted and installed voice search through the market. Worked perfectly. I'd assume this would work for any Froyo ROMs but haven't tested.
I am trying to get chrome to phone set up on my droid and I am having a hard time. I downloaded the app to my phone but cannot find the chrome extension anywhere. All of the links posted on other websites come back with the 404 error?? Has it been removed? I have already set up android 2 cloud so I can send links from my phone to chrome but not vice versa. Am I just being a dummy? Please help!I think I found it. The links that were posted on other sites are still not working but I was able to finally find it after searching around. I was only half a dummy.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI currently found out, that my Application developed for Android 1.6 does not work on Android 2.2. I'm quite puzzled about this, because its a very simple Application which almost does nothing. The Expeption I get is like that:

The weirdest part is, that the Class it is searching for here does not exist and never has. The app itself does nothing than show some text in a textview. In Android 1.6 I dont get this problem and I cant see a reason, it event works in 2.1. The Manifest looks like that:

An application I'm working on stopped being usable after upgrading to 1.5, and the reason seems to be that, after joining a WiFi network and creating a TCP/IP or UDP/IP socket, there is no way to communicate using it from a remote entity. I can not even ping the phone using the normal ping command, which was possible using 1.0. This affects my program since it's using mDNS/DNS-SD and peer-to-peer TCP sockets for communication. Is there anyone else who can confirm this?I have tried running the program built with SDK 1.0 and SDK 1.5 while running on a real phone running Android 1.5 and the problem is still the same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the last 3 weeks, I've found that Chrome To Mobile has stopped working for my Chrome browsers on mulitple desktops, to multiple devices. "Print" requests on the Cloud Printer Beta page show my requests, stuck in a perpetual state of "Queued" ... until I delete them.
Deleting and adding the devices hasn't worked. Neither has stopping and restarting Chrome sync.
I have upgraded my Karbonn A30 mobile from ICS to JB 4.2.2 with the guide lines mentioned in this XDA-forum. I have successfully upgraded to JB 4.2.2, but after upgrading Camera is not working on my Karbonn A30.
Camera is starting but not able to see any picture and also Gallery location in Camera app is not showing. When I capture any image, the screen goes to GREEN colour and it got hang.
I have a Nexus 4 running stock JB 4.2.2.
At some point (not sure when exactly) the long-press feature to bring up the context menu for links in Chrome stopped working.
When I long-press on a link, all that happens is I get a short vibrate, but no menu.
This means that I can no longer "Open in new tab".It's all working fine on my Nexus 7.
I have installed PC Companion but every 2-3 days it announce me a new update for my phone X10mini.Is it possible to know which bugs are fixed in each update before proceeding ?Is there a way to save all data before upgrading and restore after upgrading ? But I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone has ever tried to polish something like that with any luck.

I had a reminder from my Google calendar yesterday at 1pm, and I got the email for it today @ 4:30pm. I saw when 4.0.6.1 came out it said on a post here "fixes the Gmail Sync issue". Is this the issue I'm seeing? Since I have everything running how I want, is it worth upgrading to 4.0.6.1? Do I have to do a full wipe and reinstall everything? Or can I flash right on top (after a NAND backup of course)?

I'm back on the forums, FINALLY! I finally got fed-up with dealing with Verizon and their rediculas prices. I had 2 phones on my 700 Family Share plan and it was nearly $160 with NO extra features. Just phone. Not internet, no texts, basic NON3G phone.. Looked into other carrirers and found Sprint... What is that? It's HUGE!... It's the EVO 4G. I'M THERE! I am spending the same each month as I was with verizon, with a Smartphone plan. I love it!

I had to make a choice between my Droid Eris and purchasing a vehicle for the future. Of course, the vehicle won; so I no longer have the Eris *pout*. I hope everyone has fun with the future updates and conversations regarding the Eris and 2.x updates. I thank everyone that has helped me out and the 50+ who thanked for this Thread.
I recently got rid of my iPhone (couldn't stand Job's arrogance anymore) and decided to go with the cost effective route of MetroPCS. When I found Android phones could be flashed to work with it, I was quite excited. I found a phone and someone to do the flashing on Craigslist (actually a local phone shop that does it).
He flashed my phone and loaded Evil Eris onto it. I wasn't under the impression that if he put this rom on, I was going to have issues, like no voicemail notification or softkey leds. Going into this, I was pretty unaware of all the different rom choices, and the effects they have on the phone, and I still kind of am. So I have a few questions, because I've been reading about Ivans and kind of want to try it out, but want to make sure I've covered all my bases.
1. I am still unaware of the exclusivity or co-dependence that "flashing" a phone and changing a rom have with one another. He flashed my phone to work with Metro, and upload the Evil Eris rom. Main question is - if I wipe and load Ivans, do I lose the ability to use Metro? Or is it simply an issue of loading up my Metro APN (i think thats right) settings once I've loaded the new rom?
2. Nandroid backup - I made one the other day. If I go in, try another rom, and screw something up, I am under the impression that I could restore that backup and my phone be working like I never left it, including MetroPCS settings, correct?
3. Can anyone suggest a good program to backup and restore carrier specific settings, so that if I load a new rom I can quickly port settings over? Does something like this exist?
4. Finally, if all of this has been answered somewhere where I didn't find, feel free to send me to those links!
I got fed up with my music player constantly skipping/phone lag on my Eris and got a VZW manager to approve a early upgrade for me. I was thinking should I go with the Droid X? I wanted some current owner's opinions before I drop $200 on it.Currently I mainly use my phone for:
1. Texting- I send hundreds of texts a day.
2. Web Surfing- I spend a lot of time on-line google, news..etc
3. Picture taking- I love to snap photos of friends and travels.
4. Talking- I maybe use 500 min a month if that. I text a lot due to working in a call center.
5. Mp3 player- i use my phone in the car and at work so i can have good music rather than the crap work plays on the speakers to listen to.
Considering these points do you think it would be wise to choose the X?All input is welcome and appreciated.
You would think since Google has their own web browser Chrome they would have made a mobile version of it and included it as the stock browser. I use Chrome on all my machines and would like to see it on my Eris. Does anyone have any info or idea when this will happen?

It's gotten twice as bad since upgrading to 2.1. I hate the idea of a refurb but I might have no choice. Just wondering if I might still have a chance of getting a new handset. For those who have definitely gotten like-new handsets, what condition was it in?

It won't turn on. put the mobile widget back on and it stays in the "on" position, but no mobile network. Went into settings/wireless&networks, scrolled down to mobile network. It says turning on..., but it's not doing anything and won't let me check or unchecked the box. When I touch the screen it just highlights it. I'm really starting to hate this phone.

But every time I try to use the chrome to phone button on my browser, it always asks me to sign in to Chrome to Phone. Basically, anytime I want to just quickly send a link to my phone, I end up having to log in which just completely ruins any convenience C2P gave me. I am always logged into Google and Gmail when I open my browser, so why doesn't it save the fact that I'm logged into Chrome to Phone? ): Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have logged into my goggle account on both. Ironically, I it does work with the "Fox to phone", a fire fox add-on with the same functionality.
