Samsung Moment :: No Sound When Listening To Music Through Headphones Jack / Fi Xit?
Jan 29, 2010Not sure if anyone has had this issue. I was listening to music through the headphones jack and when I unplugged it I get no sound at all. No sound in calls or anything. The only way for me to get sound now is via headphones jack, anyone know how to fix this?

Feb 7, 2010When listening to music via the music player through headphones, any movement of the headphone input in the headphone jack causes tracks to FF it seems. i.e. If you spin the cord while in the jack, or even if you just push it in farther to see if it is fully seated tracks will FF. Not a showstopper, but I wanted to put this out there and see if anyone can reproduce this or is my phone just weird?

Jan 11, 2010Well the problems started 3 weeks ago when i noticed whenever i move around the headphones inside the jack, the music stops or one of the ear buds stop working. so i thought it was the headphones since skullcandies don't last long. i got a new pair and listened again but it STILL HAPPENED . (btw, the phone is not rooted)
The Phone still plays media fine without the headphones, so i thought no big deal. NEW PROBLEMS started to occur. The phone would NOT PLAY Media files whatsoever. (games, music, notifications, APPS ) every time it happens i have to restart the phone.

Jul 22, 2010just wondering if anyone has tried getting video output with a 3.5mm to RCA cable. wonder if it may be less restrictive than the HDMI hookup... but I'm getting ahead of myself: I'm not even sure if it works at all. Anyone wanna give it a shot? TBH it probably won't work, but we may as well give it a shot right?

Oct 29, 2012I have an old TV with a DVI connection - I have put an HDMI Convertor on it and it woks fine with my laptop - so with a laptop I output the video via the HDMI cable to the television and stick an audio cable in the headphone socket and get the sound through my hifi.
Someone tried it for me just using a HDMI to HDMI and no sound came from the headphone jack however I wondered if because mine was not "true" HDMI it might work? Will an android tablet do this?
HTC Desire :: Playing Music Or Watching Video Using Headphones
Jul 12, 2010When playing music or watching video using the headphones that came with it, there is a lot of crackling and hissing. If you go back to the home screen, there is a high pitched whistling sound (almost as if you've placed a microphone next to a speaker and are getting feedback as a result.) I can't seem to get any FM radio stations either. I've tried three different sets of headphones as well as the set bundled with the Desire and all have the same problem. Is this a known issue or should I phone O2 and get it replaced.

Jun 7, 2010I may be taking my Evo back to Best Buy already. I have tried a couple of different 3.5mm plugs and they are all loose in my phones jack. If I move the phone around it sometimes loses connection. These plugs were the same one's that worked fine with my Hero. Anyone else having this problem?

Sep 12, 2010Make sure to push your headphone plug ALL the way into the jack of your fascinate! some of us thought we had defective headphone inputs on our fascinates but we realized that there is a considerable amount resistance making pushing the plug all the way in just a bit tough. After reading the thread about music skipping with third party headphones plugged in, I did a little bit of research and discovered that this problem seems to be linked to devices with a recessed headphone jack, like the Droid Eris, iPhone, Nexus One, etc. They tend to only play nice with the supplied headphones, and certain other brands. Turns out the iPhone is actually pretty infamous for it. I have pre-ordered the Desire, but I am considering switching to the Legend, as this has a flat/normal headphone jack, and as I really hate those in-ear headphones that are supplied, I'm going to want to use something other than the supplied HTC ones.

Anyone else notice the sounds quality ... isn't exactly that great?
I hope its just me but the frequency range seem incomplete. The highs are missing and the low end is clipped out pretty early. The midrange is decent though.

Jul 31, 2010i bought head phones (( gold tips )) and a 3.5 male to male stereo audio cable (( non gold tips )) to play my muisc player on a big stereo.So heres the problem when i first plugged it in my music would glitch , a head set icon came up not the head phone then the pic of the album cover would flip 6 times then jump the play list all the way to the end but the playlist wasnt ON random that sh*t broke my heart.Y my EVO ? anyway i called sprint and there advanced tect lol basiclly told me 2 take the batt out wait 3 min then put it back, so then i hooked it back up and it worked 4 a few minutes then started jumpin again.so sick to my stomach i just started pluggin it in and out (( slowly )) until the head phone icon came up and it would play PERFECT> oh and my gold tip head phone work great from the start.

General :: Headphone Jack Not Recognized?

The phone is about a month old and the headphones have stopped being recognized after about two weeks, I've tried about 4 different sets of headphones and all work fine, with headsets (3 different ones) you can hear but not use the mic. The phone doesn't recognise they are plugged in so the FM radio won't work, and the speaker won't turn off.
I've tried the various threads and google searches so have checked the socket for thoroughly for dust etc. (torch & tweezers) but nothing.
The fact they work but don't aren't recognised makes me think it's a software issue such as an app I've installed that doesn't work well with ICS I'd like to avoid a reset & reconfiguring everything especially if it's not certain to work.
HTC EVO 4G :: Crackled Sound Quality Of Music / 3.5mm Jack
Jun 9, 2010So yea I'm a hardcore audiophile and any crackle/pop in my music really annoying. I have had the EVO since Friday, and everything I try (Slacker, Pandora, last.FM, whatever) cracks/pops when the audio is going through the 3.5MM jack to my car. I'm already on a wait list for replacement because I think it's faulty hardware. I've tried multiple cables and even HQ settings.
Coming from a Touch Pro 2 which had amazing sound quality through the 3.5mm jack, needless to say I'm less than happy with the EVO since I primarily stayed with Sprint for uncapped data. If I get a replacement and it still continued, looks like I may be wandering over to that new iPhony. I urge everyone with this issue to post here so they can resolve it or figure out whats going on.

I can plug my IPod touch (with volume about 90%) into my car using the headphone jack and setting my car volume to a little less than half way is plenty loud. Playing the same audio tracks through the headphone jack of my Eris plugged in the exact same way with the volume cranked all the way up and I have to literally turn the stereo volume to the max to get the same level.

Jan 7, 2010Anyone else having a problem with a crackly intermittent headphone jack?
Mine has progressively gotten worse over the last month or so, to the point where the slightest movement causes crackling and sometimes intermittent loss of the sound. This is in no way related to the "left speaker pop at max volume" issue that has been previously reported. This is a purely mechanical issue, and having seen the teardown pics on the web, I think its due to the fact the headphone socket isn't actually soldered to the board, but uses 5 contacts and contact pads to make the connection. I wonder if this might be a weak spot in the design..I'm going to take the droid back this weekend to Verizon, any Idea's what my options are regarding a replacement, its after 30 days, but the motoroloa warranty should cover me for a year, right?
HTC Incredible :: Using Headphone Jack Disable Phone Mic
May 28, 2010I like to use my phone as my MP3 player and have an AUX port on my car stereo that I use. On my old phone if I plug headphones or 3.5cable into the jack the phone thinks it has a Mic and disables the one on the phone. So if I get a call while in the car listening to music I can answer the phone and hear the caller through my car stereo but they cannot hear me. Am I going to need a special cable with mic to use in my car?
I don't have my Incredible yet but want to make sure I have all the cables and gadgets before it gets here in a couple weeks. I do a lot of car traveling for business and need to make calls and listen to music.
