I love live wallpaper, but the phone seems to run extremely faster without it. I am sure everyone knows this already but I wanted to share this with everybody. I still use live wallpaper but you can definitely tell the difference in speed.

It looks a lot like the HTC one. IF you have it, how well does it perform? LIVE Wallpaper - Android application on App Brain. If I get a Droid X, I want a similar live wallpaper that the Droid Incredible has.

The results show the Dalvik VM to be >20 times slower than a modern JIT-enabled JVM running J2ME and 25-50 times slower than a C program performing the same operations on a similarly powered mobile phone. For example, this simple iteration over an empty method 2 million times takes 1.4 seconds even though it doesn't do anything. The same iteration is performed in milliseconds by a C program and about 100ms on a modern JVM. Code...
It seems like every time I reboot my phone, the live wallpaper is changed back to the last static wallpaper I have used.Does anyone else have this problems?

When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper.Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am in a verizon store. There is a droidx and droid incredible right next to each other. I installed speedtest.net app on both. Used advanced task killer to kill background apps on both..then ran speedtest.net app.Ran the test ten times on each phone to get a good average. Droidx gets 0.50 mbps max...incredible gets 2.0 mbps nearly on every one of the ten runs I did. Why? Is this a known issue? I wanna get the phone..its in stock..but this speedtest issue is bugging me. Any explanations?Also the droid x is getting only 2 bars..the inc has full signal. Been here about an hour, and no change in signal or speedtest.live update.. I am going to drive to another verizon store right now and repeat the tests on new phones..I will run with and withouth task killer. Ill update once I get to the new verizon store.

Well anyways I installed Evil Eris 3.0 and it works great and all but I wanted to try live wallpapers so when I flashed the live wallpapers.zip after installing Evil eris a lot of the icons, pngs, user interfaces, etc. are messed up.
