View 7 RepliesIs there a way of setting a different lockscreen image to the one displayed on the homescreens?
Home screen images, by their very nature work best when they are simple or abstract because they have a load of stuff going on over the top of them. But in the lock screen it would be really great to see a proper picture, where it doesn't matter what's going on because there's nothing in front of it!
It's a small request, but it would be nice to have all the same! Any apps that can do it?
Sorry If someone already mentioned this but on my Eris, you can choose a wallpaper for the home screen and one for the lock screen? On my Incredible, the wallpaper applies to both the lock screen and the home screen? In settings, it only lets me choose Home Wallpaper. Is this feature gone or am I missing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to remove the shadow which is over the lockscreen background image on certain rom ? I'm using AOSB 1.2.9 on Galaxy S3 4G, kitkat.
What i would like to have:
I have a jabra bt3030 Bluetooth headset. i use the stock music player AND googles Listen for podcasts
since I've installed Listen the play, pause, skip and back buttons only control Listen. Kind of annoying when I'm using the music player. anyone know where in settings I can set it to work with the standard music player?
I'm I missing something, but I cannot seem to find the setting to change the Lockscreen background? The only option I can see is to set the Home screen Wallpaper which also changes the Lockscreen, but I want a different image on the Lockscreen!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded from my Blackberry curve to the Desire. One feature I liked on my Blackberry was the option to add your email address and alternative phone number to the lockscreen so that if you do lose the phone, there's a chance a decent human might contact you and arrange to return it. Is this option out there for the Desire?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use http://stackoverflow.com/questions/541966/android-how-do-i-do-a-lazy-load-of-images-in-listview/3068012#3068012 to load images in a ListView and a GridView. It works but the images are loaded form bpttom to top. How to fix that?
Bonus Question: Can I use a loading animation in a image view while the real image is loaded? Right now it's just a default image.
It will be helpful if any one can help me out in understanding the concept of radio, flash, system image in android mobile device. Also why are they required? and what is their role in Device?

The whole wallpaper doesn't fit the homescreen , it's too big and just show the part like green crop box T_T . I'm using 2.1 Android.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the Desire, and despite reading through the full pdf manual, I can't work out how to save a picture I've been sent (in an MMS) to my photos, so I can use it for a caller ID. Also, I can't find an option to send a Multimedia message. When I open messages, to write one, it goes straight to a plain text one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHope the title is as it should be. I'm not sure how to put this so I'll try my best. When you have a picture as your wallpaper do you notice that when sliding between the screens they move ever so slightly? For example, I have an image of the lion in my avatar perfectly in the centre of my home screen, yet when I move the screen to the left or right it seems to move the image and cut some off. Is there a way around this?I've seen it on some people's screen shots but I'm not sure how to do it with a picture that you decide to use as a homescreen. No worries if it can't be done. It would just be nice, that's all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone else had the issue where if you send an MMS it's sent twice? I've only tested by sending to myself so far but each time I get two examples of the same photo, but within the same MMS if you see what I mean i.e. I don't get two separate messages. Very odd and bloody annoying if I'm getting charged 40p each time instead of 20p! (O2)

View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently running DeFroST 6.0 forHTC desire (AOSP FRG83 + CyanogenMod). I rooted using unrevoked 3. I installed defrost 5.9via Rom manager then upgraded to 6.0 via defrost settings.
3 questions possibly unrelated
when I run bootloader I see 'no image' and 'wrong image' messages displayed
I am unable to delete stock apps that came with the defrost Rom. In root explorer I mount r /w and delete an app. Confirm delete message shows up. But when I exit app is still there in the drawer functioning normally.
I was told this could be because NAND is locked. I understand that it should be unlocked when the unrevoked root was performed. I suspect that the error message - not enough space I saw in recovery might have something to do with the NAND setting.
Before I installed defrost 5.9 I tried to install the cyanogen 6 Rom via Rom manager. I saw 'not enough space. On device' or something similar (can't remember exactly) displayed in recovery. i think this might have something to do wit NAND setting as well
btw my desire is CDMA. Can any body shed some light on this. im a newb so simple terms please
I'm jumping off the Verizon boat and will be joining sprint next month with the release of this phone. What data plan will everybody be choosing when they get it? If you're going for an unlocked phone w/o data plan, why?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having problems getting videos to play on my HTC Desire. I have converted my .avi files into Mpeg4 so as the device could read them ok. I'm using the free programme 'Handbrake' to convert the files. And it does so with no problems. The new mpeg4 files play with sound and image.
The problem occurs when I transfer the images onto the phones SD card. The video files are picked up via the camera folder (where you can play videos as there is no actual video player) as well as on the video player app I downloaded today - 'mVideoPlayer', without any problems but when I click to play the video the screen is black and only the sound works (even though on my pc the file played fine).
Do I need to download a codec or something? I would have thought that as the Desire was compatible with mpeg4 files that it would play them straight off without having to add software.
Sorry to ask what could be the dumbest question on the face of the earth; how do you get the Samsung Galaxy S to always choose Wifi, if its available, instead of 3g?Is it something I even have to think about setting? Or is it something that Android does by default?

Is it possible to make an app choose a particular APN automatically?
Or at least direct the user to the APN selection screen?
Also I've been wondering, can an APN be used from any cell provider? Let's say I have two providers: A and B, can I use APN-B within A ?
In my application I need sometimes send data via http (using HttpClient, HttpGet and HttpPost). Can I choose (from source code) connection which is used? For example, I'd like to use only gprs, not wifi, not bluetooth. Or only wifi, not gprs.
