I want to backup my Stock Rom for Karbonn A30, I am not able to do this because i am not getting any backup option in recovery mode. My phone is rooted.Also after that i want to install CWM recovery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI followed the guide at [URL] to install CWM on my Xolo Q800. The process went well and I was shown the Green circle and it said "OK." The first time I boot my phone into recovery I was shown CWM. I rebooted my phone and to my surprise, it won't enter CWM. Instead I was shown the Stock Recovery.
How to fix this?
I've already rooted my phone using the Framaroot method. (OS is JB 4.2.2)
Now now, i want to backup my stock recovery and my stock ROM.
I know i can backup my stock ROM using CWM recovery, but if i do that, i will lose my stock recovery.
So first i have to backup my recovery somehow, and then i can install CWM recovery and then use any custom ROM i want.
Is there any way that can i able to backup my current stock rom which is flash able through android stock recovery?

i have micromax a110 and i have successfully root my mobile and install CWM using of this thread [URL] now i want to backup my rom but i don't know why some time i got error like " error while making a backup image of /data! " and some time i got error like " error while making backup image of /data! /tmp/recovery.img was copied to sdcard/clockworkmod/report.log ". and i am unable to take backup what to do ? i have checked report.log but it is empty. i have wiped dalvik catch and Fixed permissions. but still same error.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy Nexus, unrooted and with a locked bootloader. I want to root it, unlock it whatever and install some ROMs on it. I need to save all the texts and photos I've taken with it.
But most backup programs don't work without root/unlocked bootloader. I spent 6 hours trying to install Carbon App Sync to backup my files, but it doesn't offer me the option of saving to PC, which is what the free option is supposed to have. (I synced it with the Desktop program). I have the choice of saving to internal memory, which is great, except that the Gnex doesn't have a SD card (pushing us into using your cloud google) and so any backup I make will be wiped out when I root/unlock the bootloader.
It seems such a simple thing, but Android and all these apps have made it nearly impossible. I just want to get my texts and photos off this phone before I root it.
i seriously need Stock Rom of Xolo A700 or Backup of the original ROM. All other Stock Rom posted on other blogs and forums are just fake and crap. if u don't have the stock dump. backup your ROM and share.

Here are my questions.
1) Is there a way to transfer the exact status of my previous contact to my new rom? I've linked and synced all my contacts with facebook and stuffs and it looks like all those links have been disconnected. I don't want to link again manually.
2) Why does titanium not backup SMS? I've restored my titanium backup and none of my SMS got restored. Luckly I've used SMS Backup & Restore to backup, so that's not a problem, but I was wondering if I'm misssing something in titanium.
3) When I'm restoring apps with titanium, I have to keep giving permissions to install apps (clicking install button). I have around 80 apps, and I would much prefer if it's automatic without asking for my permission. Is there a way to do that?
Can we download the text file from our email to our sd card while on the droid, because I am doing my damndest and cannot figure out a way to save it when on my phone...Do I have to use my PC and download it and connect my phone via usb to install it on sd card?

Since a few weeks my phone turnes itself off accidentally, during any operation or just lying lazy on the desk. I had ARHD 6.5 since 6 months or so and I replaced it with 6.7 like 3 days ago, hoping this will solve the problem but it didn't. So I wanna try the stock rom and see whether it works or not, and if it won't I'll send it to rma. My question is how to recover original soft from nandroid backup, cause I tried and got stuck with bootloop. Do I have to recover the old firmware as well? I found some thread on how to remove clockwork and root, put the phone back S-ON and so on but I would have to recover stock rom first, right? I know I can also flash the stock rom, but the only one I found is not matching perfectly my original one, so I would rather get it back from backup. This phone is just so freaking annoying...

Titanium backup does the job but after restoring on a new rom I get a lot of fc's and none of the apps works. I cannot restore call log and text messages, accounts, etc.

I tried to boot into recovery mode using Power+Volume Up button but all I get is a white triangle with an exclamation mark in it. I can't seem to go beyond that. USB debugging was perhaps not enabled unless it was enabled by default. There is no camera button, only power and Volume Up/Down. What do I do?
I just need to get this phone working somehow. Is there a way to use a computer and a USB cable to get it running?
