General :: Save Offline Music To External SD Card With Google Music 4.0?
Oct 12, 2011I downloaded the leaked google music app from ICS, and it works great.
My only caveat is that when I choose to make something available offline, it goes straight to my internal storage (Motorola Atrix).
I have a 32gb microSD card with a dedicated folder for music. Is there a way I can get the offline songs onto there?
I currently use PlayerPro from the market, and I wanted to use the Google cloud for "wirelessly syncing" my music.

May 14, 2014I have a LG OPTIMUS F5 p875 and i succeful instaled 2nd init recovery and CM fo lg fs260s booted when i tried to install it, but the phone become unuseful because it have no, signal, 4g, bluetooth, usb conection, camera, root (tried use app to root) and external sd acces are blocked.. the only thing that works is the adb all the cm functions (android configs etc...)

Jun 2, 2014I am using a mt6582m device with kitkat 4.4.2 with supersu. I can use root to write to system, data and cache using es file explorer, can also read and write to any sd card, but apps like titanium backup, online android backup, ram expander can't read/write to sd card.
Eg.1: ti backup read backups, can do all operation except backup and restore.
I had read a lot, changing backup path didn't worked nor any odex file is there. Using v6.1.5.6.
Eg. 2: ram expander can create swap file on sd but can read it saying 'not found'. Swap can be used with cache partition.
Eg. 3: online nandroid backup says pat not vaild.
I had tried, sd fix app, manually editing platform.xml, xposed module to 'handel external storage', change permissions using es file explorer, editing ramdisk.
There is storage/sdcard0 and 1
Also mnt/sdcard and mnt/sdcard2 (symlinked)
Also mnt/media_rw/sdcard0 and 1 (not readable even in es file explorer)
General :: Moving Music To External SD On ZTE Supreme?
Jan 3, 2014Is it possible to transfer music from the internal sd to an external sd on the ZTE Supreme? My daughter is getting error messages that she doesn't have enough memory to load more music, but her external sd card has about 29GB of space on it! Someone told me that I will have to erase everything on the phone and put the sd card and then reinstall everything. Is this true?
I did try getting the x-plore app to move the files, but I can't figure out how to use the app.

It was great and I could use the explore function to find new songs, however now the explore button is gone and whenever I try to do a search all that I get is the songs that i have saved to my library... Also on the web version of google play music, it doesn't sync any of the songs saved in my library from my device with the web version even though my device is listed there in the settings, is this normal? I'm using the all access 30 day trial and it hasn't expired yet. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 4g

Jul 8, 2013 if there's any option to download the music out of Google play music all access I put in a playlist. I mean wouldn't it be nice to hear it with some other player, so if connection struggles the music doesn't stop playing. Yes offline mode in mobile version is available, but can I extract them out of it, to do the same at my PC.
The App Cloud music importer promises this much. But as I tried it, not one of my all access titles in the Playlists is shown and possible to download, just the ones I upped myself..
Android :: Can't Access External Nework / How To Setup DNS To It
Mar 25, 2009I can not access the external network because of DNS problem, below is my steps:
1. Setup DNS ./adb shell setprop net.dns1 xx.xx.xx.xx
I can successful access the internal network withou setting the http_proxy, such as my.mycomany.com
2. Setup proxy Setup the http_proxy environment variable on the host, and setup the dns server in Android.
Access the external network in browser, such as www.google.com. It report "Web page not available", the log of logcat say that: I/InetAddress( 187): Unknown host www.google.com, throwing UnknownHostException E/browser ( 187): onReceivedError code:-2 The URL could not be found.
Setting the http_proxy in "sqlite3 /data/data/ com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db" also does not work.
I guess it is the dns issue. But strange that the DNS can work for internal network, but can not work for external network.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

General :: How To Access Pics / Music In Missing Phone
May 4, 2012My daughter's cell was taken away by her dad (who we don't live with), and she has all of her music and photos on it. We are trying to figure out a way to access and save/download them without having physical access to the phone. I don't know the google/gmail account associated with the phone. Is there any way to change the gmail account for that phone and then be able to access photos and music data? We just want her pictures and music, and the only thing I can figure is that without knowing the gmail account of the phone, there's no other way to get this. Also not sure if it's all saved in the google account since the music was DL'd using 3rd party music apps.

I put a 2GB SD card in my Captivate and want to set one of the songs on it as a ringtone. I would also like for the external SD to be the default location for pictures when I take them. Thirdly, I want to access the external SD card when I connect my phone to the PC via the USB cable, but for the life of me, these 3 issues I cant seem to resolve and they were cake on the HTC.

HTC Desire : Access SMS / Text - External Program To Open / View Them?
Jul 22, 2010Recently my HTC Desire got damaged but fortunately I had copied and pasted all the data from my HTC Desire to my laptop. I connected my Desire to my Laptop in 'Disk Drive' mode and copy/pasted all contents/folders.
Now my Desire replacement has not yet arrived. Is there anyway I can access my 'Text' messages that were stored on my Desire in my laptop.
Where will I find those text and do I need some external program to open/view them?
General :: Horrible Battery Life With Google Play Music All Access
Jul 2, 2013All Access, however really hating the battery drain I am getting with the updated app. My battery drain problems started immediately after updating from the pre-All Access version which I never had trouble with. Now it hogs all my battery. Even overnight when I'm sleeping, and the app is not be used and fully exited using the back button, I am getting a loss of 10% battery life per hour. Actually using my phone is even worse. In fact it's rather unusable at this rate of drain. In about 45 minutes of GPMAA use, it lost 25% battery life!
Unchecking the Google Music sync from their account section in settings. I did that, but still getting horrible battery life. Short of uninstalling this app, and losing a service I am really starting to like, what can I do?

Oct 9, 2012when I want to stream one particular song I noticed that the Google Play Music app downloads and caches the previous/next few songs for quicker access. How can I prevent this? It uses a lot of data and I usually only want to listen to the one song I chose to stream.
For example if I play a 6 mb song i noticed it uses about 40 mb to stream just that one song. Then I selected a different song to stream and immediately went into settings > download queue and noticed it was loading more songs than the one I requested. I only want to listen to the 1 song I chose, so how can I prevent the other songs from loading? As far as I can see there is no way in the app's settings but there has to be another way to stop this inconvenience.
P.S. I have a T999 galaxy s3 running on stock rooted ICS
