General :: INQ Cloud Touch - Can't Get Root Permissions
Nov 9, 2011I have got a INQ Cloud Touch mobile with android 2.2.2 froyo installed on it by default.The problem is that i can't get root permissions.. I tried almost everything i found looking on the web but nothing seems to work. Android apps like 'z4root', 'androot' or 'gingerbreak' crash or get stuck, and PC programs get stuck on 'waiting for device' even if the mobile is connected and debug mode is enabled. I really need root permissions because this mobile has plenty of useless apps that i can't remove without.INQ website provides only an update program that doesn't update android at all.I think my problem has 2 solutions:
1) get root permissions
2) update android (2.3 is perfect too)

Mar 30, 2014I have a new Samsung Galaxy device and the 15 step volume for music is driving me nuts. 15 is not enough choices for volume level.I have tried 30/45 step volume mod for xposed framework and it does not seem to work correctly on TouchWiz roms.
explain to me a simple way to deodex the framework on my stock Touchwiz rom and odex it back.I know how to get the framework off the device and how to put it back. I also know how to edit it with notepad++

Dec 20, 2013I'm basically looking for an app, that can provide syncronisation between a folder on my device, and a folder on <insert cloud storage here>. I'm personally trying to migrate away from Dropbox, of which I've been a heavy user for many years. But in the light of the recent NSA gate, I thought I'd take a look what else is out there. I've chosen MEGA, as they provide (on paper) the security I like, and enough storage for my cloud-storage-needs.
I've been using Dropbox to automatically store the images I've taken with my phone camera and I take a backup of my texts every night at 2pm, which is also, automagically, uploaded to Dropbox. The official MEGA app takes care of the first, but the latter is taken care of within the backup app itself. It can be disabled, though.
I've looked for sync apps, but neither those or apps like Helium doesn't support MEGA.

Makes it hard to stream to my Chromecast, as it does not currently play local content, so I have to choose every other track to play via Chromecast.

Nov 29, 2013I don't quite know where to place this, but I have Rom toolbox pro and I want everything backed up, so when I do a system reset, I get everything back. I can backup phone data, but I don't see an option to back it up on dropbox. Am I overlooking something?
Oh, also, can I only back up app data to the cloud, and not the entire app? I'll just download it when I need it, but, I'd like the app settings on the cloud.

Nov 22, 2012I enabled TB to sync to Dropbox this morning and it's at 78% after about 3 hours. I'd like to sync to the cloud regularly, but I can't afford half a day to do so. If after the initial backup will it only upload changes or does it upload all the backed up files each time?

Dec 29, 2012OK, new to Droid, moved over from Windows Phone. I've got a nice account setup already with SkyDrive along now with the Samsung Cloud thing and Dropbox. For some reason, DropBox has not upgraded me to the larger size account like they should have after I registered my new Note2 device and did all the other things they say you have to do in order to get granted the larger file allotment.
So, anyway, I have a 25gb account already setup with Skydrive and have quite a few files on there that I use regularly. I have a couple of the browsers on my phone and they work well to gain access to the files and such. What I really want is to actually add SkyDrive to my Cloud. When I go to Settings, Cloud, it shows Samsung and Dropbox, but does not give me any option to install or gain access to Skydrive. Is there some way I can install this on my phone and get the system to recognize it as another option for my Cloud services?

Oct 30, 2011Not possible with Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4. The only way is to use Titanium Backup, and better than that, Nandroid Backup. You can as well extract data from a Nandroid backup with Titanium Backup.
I have a Nexus S and I wonder if, with the option Settings -> Accounts and sync -> Background data & Auto-sync & Manage accounts (sync is on) the settings and savegames are automatically stored "on the cloud", let it be my Google account or similar, because I don't have a rooted phone and don't want to do that to preserve warranty.

Jan 30, 2013I've noticed that despite having only four or five playlists on Google Music (desktop) my phone shows a bunch - mostly ones from albums I've downloaded. They don't show up in the browser version on my desktop so it looks like the only way to get rid of them is to manually delete every single one via the phone app.
Also, I've noticed that when I switch the settings to "on device only" my playlists created on the web page no longer show up, despite me having the majority of the songs on my microSD. I remember I used to be able to switch to "on device only" and the cloud playlist would scale down to only what I had on local storage. Was so....logical! Is there any way I can still do this? My microSD music is pretty much pointless since I don't have access to the playlists when I'm using "on device only".
General :: Cloud Printer Beta / Chrome To Mobile No Longer Working?
Oct 25, 2012In the last 3 weeks, I've found that Chrome To Mobile has stopped working for my Chrome browsers on mulitple desktops, to multiple devices. "Print" requests on the Cloud Printer Beta page show my requests, stuck in a perpetual state of "Queued" ... until I delete them.
Deleting and adding the devices hasn't worked. Neither has stopping and restarting Chrome sync.

I've already tried some apps, and BubbleUPnP promises to have this feature, but it just won't play songs from the cloud.
Is there any chance to install a system-wide service that routes all the sounds of the device to the DLNA receiver? On an iPhone that works via AirPlay, there must be something like that for Android too, right?
General :: Motorola Moto G - Save Apps And Games On Cloud To Save Storage?
Apr 19, 2014I have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

Jul 27, 2010So PSX4Droid finally got released from the clutches of Google Market about an hour ago. Only problem now is I can't seem to get any roms to work. I set up a PSXROMS folder on my SD card, and my first d/l was Metal Gear Solid disc 1 and 2. I got them from here PSX ISO Download Section. So I downloaded the .rar, unzipped to get the .bin (says it's compatible), open the emulator, the emulator sees the files in the folder, I click it, it refreshes the rom screen. The emulator doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong? Wrong file type?

Nov 9, 2009Is there a way to make highlighting of a row in a listview delayed if the user is simply scrolling the list with their finger? To clarify, when the user puts their finger down to scroll, the intersected row (if any) gets highlighted for a short moment, before it realizes the user is just trying to scroll (then the highlight turns off). It seems like the timeout is too short - iPhone has the same behavior, just seems that the timeout is longer to discern between a real row- select-touch, and just a scroll-touch. Any way to tweak this? You can see the behavior in any of the system apps that have lists..

HTC EVO 4G :: Tired Of Carrying My Touch Pro And An Ipod Touch
Jun 14, 2010I'm really struggling between the EVO and the iphone 4.My HTC Touch Pro looked shiny when I bought it a year and a half ago, and now it feels obsolete. I can barely use it for more that texting/phone, far less than the device promised. In the time I've had it, there was one update which mostly just fixed bugs. And in my other pocket I have a first generation ipod touch that feels superior in every way, except the phone part.I have no confidence in HTC's ability to support it's products and improve them over time, Apple does do this, my ipod touch is better than when I bought it four years ago. But the EVO runs android and it looks like that is something that is going to develop over time.Will the device be able to rely on android in that way? I'm already seeing people suggest that HTC will lag behind android updates because they'll fail to update their android skins in a timely manner.Can the EVO run on just android if that UI experience turns out to be better than what HTC can offer?
My other primary concern is itunes syncing. I have dozens of 'smart playlists' that I've pretty carefully designed to change and improve with my listening habits, and all of my podcasts sync through itunes. Also, I've been using 'itunes U' to listen to full courses and my itunes is set up so that every time I sync my finished lectures are replaced with the next in the series.... So, I'm sure many of you have seen the EVO "tutorial" showing you how to load music onto the device, literally just dumping files onto the devices hard drive, that is effing laughable. Is there a reasonable way to sync and listen to music on the EVO?
