Mar 28, 2013Samsung Galaxy 7.0 plus (gt-p6210) will not boot. It hangs at the Samsung banner. The banner is still glowing but it goes nowhere.
I have tried everything.
a. Delete cache (dalvik and otherwise)
b. System wipe.
c. Removed add on sim and repeated above.
I have a rooted ICS (original install via Kies).

I've had root and i made an update many times without any problem, but once i was making some update of 4.2.2 the device didn't want to turn on and it freezed on Google logo. I tried to do plenty of ways to repair it; unroot, factory reset, wipe... Then i tried to do a flash via Nexus 7 Toolkit,How can i do the flash without enabled USB debugging? Is there any way to evade it? Or can I enable USB debugging from my PC for example?

Jan 14, 2013In all of the screen shots showing off Google Now, there is always an image of a card showing meeting with someone at a particular location, the time it takes to arrive at that location, and a map of the meeting location. I have not been able to figure out how to get Google now to do this.
Presumably, that is a function that arises from a Google Calendar appointment. I've created meeting appointments and used specific addresses for the meeting location, but when Google Now displays that appointment, it displays the name of the meeting and the address only - no travel time and no map. In contrast, for places that I visit regularly, Google Now does display a map and travel time to those locations. But those are not regular appointments.

Nov 7, 2009On my blackberry and all previous phones, I was able to customize a text banner, and I'm not finding a way to do it on my Motorola Droid. I usually put my email address on the lock/unlock screen so that if some honest person was to find my phone, they could email me to let me know they found it. Otherwise, it would just be lost. I know that there are theme apps that I can install, and I'm not sure if they have that capability, but if anything, I'd prefer not to have to download any apps to do this. I've also thought about creating a wallpaper that has that information in it, and setting that as my wallpaper. It seems like too much work.

Apr 17, 2013I'm using the latest version of Google Maps on JB 4.2.2 [Nexus 4]..I noticed that I cannot edit the names of my locations in "My Places" in the phone app. So I used Google Bookmarks (google.com/bookmarks) from my PC to edit/rename My Places. However, the names do not sync or carry through to the Google Maps app on the phone. The names in the app are still the generic names, coordinates or street names.
Is there any way to change the names of My Places and get them to sync with the phone app? Really baffling!

May 13, 2010Just wondering if its possible to use the built in image viewer to display an image sourced from a database. I'm hoping I can pass the byte[] as an extra to the ACTION_VIEW intent, but can't find any docs on it so far.
