Is there a video converter app for Android that can convert videos to a audio and video format fully supported by Chromecast? I have found an app that covers to the right video container, but wrong codecs, and right audio container and codecs. It's called "Video Converter"

Is there a video converter app in the works for Android that enables your to convert videos from your G1? Like, let's say, mpeg or wmv to mpeg 4 or 3gp so that you can watch it on the G1?

I've tryed several converters but can't find a single easy to use converter. I found one called "Super" and it somhow wasn't compatibel with my windows7...
I am looking for a video converter for some avi movies I have on my comp. I use videora now but it doesn't have a hero setting and videos are too large for the hero screen and the sound lags. Does anyone know of a better converter or have all of the video specs so I can input them manually (i tried but it went over my head).

I think it is a bit silly that Picasa isn't compatible with Android videos... 3gp files (Is this phone specific?)...

I downloaded Unit Converter, and noticed that the market said it needed no permissions, while the manage apps list on the phone said it needed to modify the sd card and read phone state. Not that this was a huge deal, but why would they be different?
Anyways, how does everyone like that unit converter? It seems like it has everything!!

I'm trying to use a youtube downloader to download youtube videos to my laptop and then convert them to AVI files and drag and drop them to my SD card so that I can view them on my Droid. The problem is the files either don't show up on the card when I attempt to play them on the device if they are in AVI format or if I choose not to change the format only the audio is played by the phone so I can't see any video. Any suggestions? I know this is a possibility because a coworker has done this on a BB Tour. I had him Bluetooth transfer some files and those show and play but the ones I'm attempting to tranfer by dragging and dropping the the files aren't working.

The so called "default video player" has been uninstalled though. Have cleared cache, clear defaults, clear data for the browser but still do not get a prompt to choose a video player while playing videos from the browser.
Also installed the "Default App Manager" to check for the default video player. However, it indicates no defaults to play any videos (either from file or streaming videos).
(If I play a stored video from phone or SD card, I do get the prompt to choose a video player. But do not get a prompt if playing any video in the browser.)
