Few days ago i insert the sd card through my phone and it works perfectly. But a few hours ago while i operate my phone as usual and want to open gallery then the all media inside gallery was dissapear..

I'm having a problem with ES file explorer. After several days I managed to root my HUawei U8800 Ideos X5 (Android 2.3.5) and obviously one of the next steps is installing CWMR. Unfortunately I'm failing here too. I tried to copy the recovery.img to the .cust_backup/image, but it keeps to say copy failed. Root access was given and I checked all four boxes in root settings. Someone in a german forum told me to update the binarys in SU, which failed too (it says sth like copy su to /system -> failed!). I'm not even sure ES FE would work if the binarys would be current.
I already tried the app Mount /system (rw / ro). It didn't work with this too.
I've tried to save my sd card multiple ways but haven't had any luck. Ive even tried putting it in my camera and got an error. What should I do?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI did a backup using Titanium Backup and Go Backup and after wiping my Motorola Defy, tried to restore apps, contacts etc. The problems I encountered were:
1) Go Backup can't recognize backup directory on SD card for some reason.
2) Can't move apps to SD. An error occurs: "Move Application: Failed to move application. There is not enough storage left." Needless to say, I have more than enough storage.
This is was I encountered by far, although I believe these are just a small part of the symptoms for a single problem.
Maybe its because there are no permissions, or moving apps is impossible because of an existing app files on the SD card.
What is the actual cause for this? Or is there a tool to fix the permissions on the Defy?
My device is stuck in a bootloop with an incorrect rom. I wanted to flash the corrects rom, but when I tried to do so, clockworkmod gave me this:

I had a 2 gig sd card and put an 8 gig into it and formated it using the android OS and it says I have 7.4 gigs but all of my external PC device managers like ******** say I only have 1.7 gigs and it won't let me put more then 1.7 gigs onto it.
It's a Samsung Galaxy W and on the phone under sd card it says I have 7.4 gigs and in windows explorer it says I have 7.4 gigs. but the phone says I only have 1.7 gigs of usb storage, and when I upload mp3's it uses up that 1.7 gigs.
I installed sygic navigation and my phone is refusing to install the correct components for this app. I have a rooted phone and I have experienced problems with sd card mounting .etc.
I notice that sygic GPS navigation has some kind of I/o error. HTC Explorer A310e
i have my samsung SCH-R740C,and i put the SD card from my previous phone in it. ( it wasnt a samsung.i forgot what it was), and for a while, it was working fine in the new phone. however every once in a while, pictures,videos and music get corrupted and i dont know why.( i would save it to cloud,but it takes an extremely long time even with wifi. google+ backs up alot of ny files for me,but idk if it backs up audio.)
somehow the phone messes up my files. at first, music that i had already saved on the external SD card i could listen to(although some songs were corrupted and skipped a lot),but any new music had to be in the phone, or else i couldnt play it. now,NONE of the music can be on the exteral card so i have to move it to the phone just to hear it. id rather keep my music on my external SD card,so i could move it whenever i get a new phone.
Recently i have been experiencing that my memory card was not reading only my music mp3 files.

Everything is working great except for some reason my external SD card (A 64 GB SanDisk MicroSD) is read only. The only thing I can do with it is to format it. Otherwise all write operations to it fail.
I have tried two different cards and several different apps (Terminal, Astro File Manager for instance) and none of them can write to the device.
I am almost thinking it is a matter of a missing new permission but I can't find anything in the SDK docs about it (If this is the case that is fine because my main use of the card is a home made music player that I've written).
I just bought a used Droid in great shape last night. After I got it home, I noticed that the previous owner removed the micro SD card. No big deal as I have two 8GB ones, so I popped in one of them and went to the settings menu to mount it. Long story short is the Droid won't read either card even though I can read them from my PC just fine.I suspect this is actually a physical problem; when I insert the micro SD card the card itself goes over the black plastic piece in the slot, then continues to ride over the metal part visible through the retaining clip hole. After it is inserted I can see the card in the hole around the retaining clip for the card in the 1" wide metal piece that spans the middle of the phone. After a ton of googling I finally found a post on a different forum that says the card should go UNDER this metal part and not over, but on my phone there is no room for a micro SD card; it's pretty flush with the black plastic piece and some gentle prying isn't helping any.Can anyone verify where the micro SD card should sit?

If I simply attach the USB cable, a 'D:' drive appears, but I get the error message "Please insert a disk into drive D".
I used the card as is, and did not 'format' it first; should I have done this?
So, I have Itunes Agent and when I had the 2 GB card it synced perfectly, no problem. So I get the 16GB card and my computer suddenly doesn't even 'recognize' that there's a device connected. WTF, So, not very computer savvy, I figure it must be the computer because the card seems fine in the phone?

Did a format with the phone and copied all over on the card, no luck. Putting the card in the PC. I can do everything with the files, copie, delete and so on. Then did a format with the pc fat32 and copied all back, again on the phone only read only.

At the notification bar, it says the sd card is mounted as read only. The phone gives me the option to try to fix it. It tries without success. I have tried resetting the phone and fidgeting with the card...both with no success. Its frustrating cause I can't take pictures as a result and all I see is that error message! View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Evo is rooted, but I have lost my recovery image. Attempts to re flash recovery via ROM Manager and ADB both failed. I now have a task bar message saying the card is mounted read only. I put it in an adapter, plugged into my PC and ran Check Disk, which appeared to restore R/W status. I then put it back in the phone, rebooted and tried to flash a new image with ROM Manager, I have the read only issue again. I still have root, root apps still receive SU permissions, but I have no nand access and cannot re flash CWM or Amon.
