View 1 RepliesI have bought LG GT540 Optimus few days ago. Everything works fine except the volume of ringtone. I have set the volume on 100%, but the sound is still quietly. So I can't capture when somebody is calling.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI flash makdroid v2 then after some days i also flash vm00 v29 kernel, and everything was working fine,so yesterday i switch off my phone and when i try putting it on,i get kernel panic upload mode, and i cant boot to the OS and recovery.i can ony go to download mode,so i tried to flash stock rom with odin but, odin does not detect my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Vibrant just crashed with this message, "user fault not kernel panic upload mode". All I was doing was updating a word document using the application FREETHINK which comes with the phone. I pulled the battery out and restarted, and went to do the same thing I was trying to do before the crash and it crashed again.I looked this message up online using "google". There isn't much. People seem to think it has to do with GPS, and it seems like it's a reoccurring problem, which factory reset will not fix. I'm switched back to my Blackberry, incase that it does reoccur. And I will call T-Mobile I guess or maybe try restarting again, and see if it crashes again doing something different other than FREETHINK.Not panicking yet.Anyone else experiencing this problem?I hope it doesn't reoccur,I'll let you know.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had an LG Optimus S phone for a month, that I run almost exclusively on wifi (I have a pay-as-you-go plan for data, so I've turned 3G off so I only use it when I need it). Often at home the wifi turns off when the phone is sleeping... I'll turn on the phone to check something, but then I have to manually click the wifi back on and wait for it.
> LG Optiumus S running Android 2.2
> Wifi sleep policy has been set to "never" so wifi should stay on when phone is sleeping.
> 3G set to off
> Not rooted - it's "out of the box"
> Static IP set to "Off"
> No power control apps on phone
> My router security is set to "WPA-PSK (TKIP) and WPA2-PSK (AES)" ... I _can_ change it to "WPA2-PSK (AES)" only.
Is swapper is the alternative of zram ? or swap partition acts a virtual ram or not.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi would like to port CM6 from the LG GT540 to the LG Ally.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis problem began when I reinstalled Swapper 2 last night though I do not think it caused the problem. This was the latest app I installed on my phone.
After I installed this app, changed the settings and set the swapper file size to 256mb and power cycled the device the device wont boot at all.
It would give this vibration, and then nothing. Not even the back light of the display turned on. It tried to open CWM thought the power button and volume down keys but still the result was same as before. I don't know where to start. I am having real trouble in diagonalizing the problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhy I can't overclock LG gt540 higher than 768mhz or if I do it phone freezes or reboot??
I'm running now on 2.3.7 sdsl v2.1, 2.6.35.10 kernel.
My old rom is 2.3.7 sdsl v2.0, 2.6.2.9 kernel and I was on 806mhz and it was very stable so is this overclock issue kernel bug?
I am now learning how android handles linux input events from kernel raw input events to the userland level KeyEvent and so on. And I want to handle input events in native language. I've do some experiments on handling events using NDK but the touch screen events are very hard to handle(when I touch the screen, It generates a lot of kernel events).
I've read the eventhub class in framework base dir in the android source repo. And I now I know how android collects linux kernel raw events using eventhub class by reading from /dev/input/event* , but I still have no idea how it translates these raw events into the userland logic input events like KeyEvent. The file keyinput service only wrappers eventhub to JNI functions but there are no translation. So please give me some hints on the kernel event and userland event translation process.
I have problem with my phone galaxy s2 g ( GT-I9100g ) Running ICS official rom , not rooted. its start show up before 3 months ago when i loading more than app in the same time its says "user panic upload mode"
i have to remove the battery and re-back it . i dont know why but, its very noisy
anyone out there, besides me, trying a swap app like Swapper for Root? The logic seems sound, like with computers, to setup a swap file on the SD card since our internal memory is so meager.
I admit, I can't say I have "noticed" much of a difference in the last week. And my lag of app icons showing up - many report this in 2.2 mind you - has not improved, but just curious if others have tried a swap app of some type and noticed a benefit on the Droid D1's?
I found that by typing on the call screen:
*#*#4636#*#* ( *#*#INFO#*#* )
display the menu:
"Phone info" and scroll down to
"Turn off radio"
and you can access some additionnal settings and it seems you can turn off GSM networks without disabling FM radio or other networks (source:

I try it and this is working on my Samsung Galaxy S II. But... any gadget or a small program (maybe on Market) whit which this can be done? (with simple one touch of a single icon on the screen)
I preordered my Incredible online on the evening of 4/20.Up to this point I'm still getting the same order status message as everyone else here. All seems normal and on par with everyone else here. However, I've heard people saying that they show a $1.00 charge on their credit card account or whatever showing that they made the purchase and then that charge will turn full once the phone ships or however Verizon does it. My online Verizon account that this card is attached to isn't showing any trace of a charge from Verizon. Should I be concerned?I purchased mine with my Wells Fargo Visa check debit/credit card. The Verizon site asked for that Visa Verify (or whatever it's called) password to verify my card. I honestly didn't remember that password, but I figured it would be the password that I use for almost everything. I entered that password and the page had a processing icon or whatever and I proceeded to complete my order. I know I've used that Visa Verify before, but I just didn't remember the password.
Based on that info, should my card have been verified on the spot if it allowed me to pass the Visa Verify and complete my order? Or does Verizon do that verification later? Should I be seeing a charge from Verizon in my online Wells Fargo account yet?I just want to make sure something as small as not entering my Visa Verify password is going to make me miss out on this phone on release day.
I have u8800 and 3.0.8 AOSP kernel. But not runnig cm9 with AOSP kernel. How to port aosp kernel to cm9 kernel.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo since I got the phone on Thursday, at random, I'll get these popup crash messages, that say "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly" it has a "Force Close" button, which doesn't seem to change anything other than to acknowlege the message. It will happen at random, sometimes while I'm on the home screen, or sending a text message, but more recently, as I was trying to manage & link contacts. When I searched for this message it seemed to be related to people using Gmail, but I always get this message when I'm doing other things and not even touching my Gmail account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes the DDMS in the Eclipse not listing the process.
To do the debug in this condition,
1) Is their any way force the DDMS to list the process?
2) Any command to attach the process from the command line?
I bought a new phone, but I can not run it.
I get the following information: "Sorry! The process com.google.process.gaps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
At a certain point in my program, when I'm completely done with my service, my activity executes unbindService() and stopService() -- yet the process persists. I can tell that it persists because I run "ps" in "adb -e shell":
CODE:.............
"adb logcat", I can show you the sequence of events:
ACTIVITY: context.unbindService(serviceConnection);
SERVICE: onUnbind();
ACTIVITY: stopService(serviceIntent); & returns true!
SERVICE: onDestroy();
First, my activity calls unbindService(serviceConnection). According to the documentation, unbindService() will "Disconnect from an application service. You will no longer receive calls as the service is restarted, and the service is now allowed to stop at any time." So that is fine, and it is happening.
Appropriately, we see the onUnbind() call happen on the service side. According to the documentation, onUnbind() is called when "all clients have disconnected from a particular interface published by the service." So this confirms the correct service connection is being passed, and that the service is responding accordingly.
Next, my activity calls stopService(serviceIntent), and returns true. According to the documentation, stopService() does the following: "If there is a service matching the given Intent that is already running, then it is stopped and true is returned; else false is returned." Again, this is happening and returning true.
In response, the service's onDestroy() method is called. According to the documentation, onDestroy() is "Called by the system to notify a Service that it is no longer used and is being removed. The service should clean up any resources it holds (threads, registered receivers, etc) at this point. Upon return, there will be no more calls in to this Service object and it is effectively dead."
At this point I expect the process to disappear from the process table. Yet it remains indefinitely. But why?
Also, the process is so persistent that I can bind to it again, and I see that it is the same exact process responding because the PID (process ID) is the same!
I've searched around the forums (here and SDX forums) and although it seems the few people that had this issue were able to solve it, my case seems a bit different.
It's different because of the people I've read solving the issue, it was a problem with something they changed / removed with gmail / gmail storage or talk / talk storage. And when they cleared the cache or re-installed the problem went away. Also, it seemed that the same people had a problem with downloading from the market...
Neither of the above apply to me, but yet I'm still getting this FC error all the time!
I was helping a friend with their CL14 Moment out of the box...and went from stock 1.5 CL14 to 2.1 DD03 w/Joey recovery to EclairDD10 and v5 root. I then did the streaming media fix, and then the private app (build.prop) fix (all previously done with my phone no problems). I did all of these update right in a row, and after my last re-boot the FC error (process com.google.process.gapps has stoped unexpectedly) started showing up and won't go away.
The only .apk / odex files I removed were the preloaded Sprint apps
Does anybody have any other ideas on how I can get this FC error to stop? I've tried clearing the cache / data for all the mail / talk apps, rebooted, cleared dalvik cache...
Keep getting this message "The process com.google.process.gapps has stooped working unexpectedly. Any thoughts on what this is and how to resolve?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I decided to give Tridents ROM a try about 10-minutes ago.
I used ROM Manager, backed-up my old ROM, then downloaded Velocity 0.2.
Now, my phone will do nothing, it turns on and shows the red Droid eye, then when it's time to go to the home screen I get pop-up after pop-up saying that "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have no way of getting on my phone at all, what can I do?
I Just installed a new theme (Live Wire) for my Lithium Mod Rom. Don't know if there is a connection, but when I need to update an app, I get the message something like "process android media process stopped unexpectedly" and it will not allow the update. Everything else works well. I have turned it off for awhile, and have done a battery pull.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery 5 minutes this error pops up "Sorry! the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectdly. please try again." It doesnt actually close anything. It pops up even when im not in an app. So it's more annoying than anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Xperia x10 mini. Whenever I try to add a contact to my phonebook, before clicking save this message appears: "The process android.process.acore has stopped unepectedly. Please try again." Another thing is, even though my contacts' names appears in the messages in my inbox, when I click on the phonebook icon, the phonebook is empty...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI see another thread on Locale, but it seems to be focused on it technical shortcomings. I thought a thread about how people are using this app would be helpful.
Now... I use Locale for the following:
- Turning the ringer down when I get to work (obviouse one)
- Turning GPS/Bluetooth/wifi on when I plug it in the phone (think car dock)
- Turn on Wifi when I get near my known hot spots.
- Turn off GPS/Bluetooth/wifi off and turn down brightness when my battery is low.
And the last one is a good one for me...
- I have a GV number. When I call my phone from that number, it turns the ringer volume all the way up and it turns on wifi and GPS. This is my "lost phone aid". It turns on the locating features so I can see where the phone is using iGoogle and Latitude, and I can hear the phone if it is "in the cushions" on vibrate.
Anyone else get creative with Locale?
When I trun my phone on, the scene changes from the scene I had chosen (the waving grass) to "current (unsaved)".If I change it to the one I prefer (saved with my name) I am asked to "save or cancel" the incorrect one.I click cancel, and all is well. But why does it change and how do I keep the scene selected that I want?I just want it to stick on the scene that I have chosen.
