View 4 RepliesI'd like to find an app that can zoom in on the text I'm typing like the iPhone can do. I point to a spot and it puts it in a zoomed-in "balloon" to allow for easier accurate pointing to exactly the spot you want.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of the lacking features of my trusty iPhone has been the lack of a zoom feature on the camera. Last week I purchased the new Galaxy S4 Zoom and cannot tell you how very happy I am with the zoom feature. I am still exploring the Android operating system and having a good time.
However, I cannot find out how you capture the screen. This is a simple operation on the iPhone (two buttons held), and have to believe that the same is true with the Galaxy Zoom.
Our family is really into weather stuff and I often capture a screen image from WeatherBug and email it to the kids.
rooting my s4 zoom and try several ways:
Use Flash with odin root room and gives me error and sim
Use motochopper
Use Cydia
adding the pinch to zoom feature in all application. Does it exist ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMost pdf viewers you can pinch to zoom. That really is not convenient when trying to read something pinching in and out, scrolling, etc. I am looking for a better solution. Most of the stuff I read is almost readable without zooming. I was hoping to find something that when I touch the screen, whatever is under/around my finger, it zooms that in a box. Then I can just keep moving my finger and seeing stuff zoomed and lift my finger to see the whole page.
I'm reading on a 10" tablet.
Anything out there like that or that is more usable for reading pdfs?
I really like the zoom in animation when openjng apps in GB/CM7. I have a nexus s with ics on it and would like those animations back. I did it on my old vibrant running 4.0.4 but can find how to do it now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I've been pretty disappointed to know that the Nexus 4, 7 and 10 have no 16:9 aspect ratios, which means that widescreen videos will have black bars displaying on the top.
Currently, on my iPhone 4S and 3rd generation iPad, I can double tap and "crop" the video, and this makes the video fill up the entire screen and videos looks really nice. However, on a Galaxy Note and a Galaxy S III, I've tried doing the same thing but they refuse to crop.
Is there something that I am missing or is there no double tap to zoom at all?
I've got GoClever brand tablet (model orion 70L). Everything works fine but when I want to zoom image/pdf using two finger gesture it is very slow. I neet do repeat it ten times to zoom image as I want to. Is there any option/application to make it "faster"?
P.S If I open google maps (preinstalled in tablet) this gesture works fine as in for example Angry Birds. So I think that its a software problem...
I was wondering why my pinch to zoom feature wasn't working, should I try and flash a differnt 4.2 zip?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the Nexus 7 and S4, and on both setups, there is 1 really annoying feature: triple tapping/clicking anywhere on the screen will create a "zoom" on the screen. How can i disable this? NonRooted on both.

In my HTC sensation, I can, for example, open a news story on CNN and if the text was too small, I could pinch the screen jesture to zoom out then the phone would resize the font AND still keep the web page fitting on the screen.
Now, with my Samsung 3s, you can't do this. You can zoom, but the phone does not resize and ensure the page fits on screen. So, you have to read and pan around left, right, up down just to read.
I tried to load other browsers that claim to offer this zoom, resize, fit to screen feature, but none of them worked when loaded onto v4.0.4.
With Android 4.1.1 I had a browser with 1-finger-zoom...will say, I could swipe left or right on the side of the screen to zoom in and out.
Now with 4.1.2 this feature isn't there any longer...
Any way to get this version of browser back? An app to flash or something like that?
NOTE 2
I need an application with which I can store maps with different zoom levels. I remember the application "Istanbul Map" let me do this and I could download Google (or other sources') maps from the zoom level I was in up to the maximum zoom level of my preference. Therefore, assuming that I had downloaded the map, when zoomed out I could only see street names and when zoomed in I could see the shops and their names or any other details corresponding to that zoom level, in case I had set the maximum zoom level to 17, 18 or 19.
However it's been two years that I haven't used that application and now that I downloaded "Istanbul Map" from Google Play I noticed that it doesn't offer the same features as before and it seems that it is specifically for Istanbul. Besides, I need to buy the application in order to use it while the previous versions were free.
Now that I am going on a trip and while on way I might need to zoom in up to the 18th zoom level to see the names of stores or other details. So I need an application that provides me the same feature as the old "Istanbul Map" letting me download Google maps for different zoom levels. The built-in Google maps application only allows to download a map with a fixed zoom level and it is useless for me.
I am using galaxy s4 zoom 4.2.2, and i want to change the background of the notification dropdown.
I searched in SystemUI.apk and Framework-res.apk with no luck. Where is the image can be find?
Is there any games like Farm Frenzy, or any tycoon games like Lemonade Tycoon ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSeriously, emulation is not good for performance, but most roms running on gensoid look and play better that games developed for Android. Sonic 3 looks lovely, runs at 60fps and never stutters. It even seems to look higher rez than most Android apps.Android platformer games are nowhere near as good looking or smooth. So what the hell is going on? The hardware on top end Android phones (Desire, galaxy etc) is clearly capable.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I need to paste text from another app in my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy SII, O2, Jelly Bean), like from Google Keep or Docs, into a text message it tends to convert from an SMS to MMS. This leads to a charge for me as my SMS messages are included in my tariff but I have no allowance for MMS messages. I presume that this might be something to do with character encoding or other formatting data that is pasted in, but that is only a guess.
Is there any way to stop short messages from being converted to MMS messages like this:? I couldn't find any 'paste clipboard as plain text' option in Android Jelly Bean.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to the android phone's (Just got my HTC hero three days ago.) and I was wondering, are there any good resident evil games for the htc Hero? I've seen some awesome one's on iphone and I used to have some fun Resi games on my old E71.
While I'm on the subject of gaming I have also downloaded the snesoid light and find the music and gaming a little sluggish. Is this just how it is or is there anything I can do to sort that? Would the full paid version work any better?
There is obviously a mechanism for selecting, cutting, pasting, and generally editing text in text fields. Little pointer widgets appear under text from time to time. In general, I can't figure out how to use them. Furthermore, on a Kindle screen (which is bigger than a smartphone screen) I can't touch or drag them accurately--they're too small, the drags required are too small, and there isn't any automatic magnifier like there is on my iPod Touch.
What I find particularly frustrating is that I can't find an easy way to move the insertion point back and forth one character at a time, the way I would with cursor keys, and I can't find any easy way to delete the character just ahead of the cursor.
Is there some kind of how-to guide that spells out just how to do text editing within text fields on a touchscreen Android device?
