View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 since 4 months. From the start it has had several issues with the micro sd card.
The first problem came out of nowhere, from one moment to another the sd card had became unreadable, not even my laptop would recognize is. It was working just fine before.
So i bought a new card, this was working fine for a while, but all of a sudden my Gallery wouldn't show anything on it from after a certain date. (The files, like photo's are there and readable with laptop or Quickpic gallery.)
Today came the latest and most severe problem, my telephone stopped working. it became very slow, going back to the 'main screen'/locking itself/ just black screen at random. When i took out the sd card it worked fine, i put i back in.. and the problems start again after a few minutes. i've taken it out again and the phone's been working fine for a couple of hours now.

how can i make my songs (.mp3) to have recognizable characters at every android media player. Let me make clear to you that non-english characters (greek letters) at my songs are nearly unreadable at players. Media players play such songs normally but i can not read their IDE tags (for example: individual artist's name, album's name, e.t.c....) Every android file explorer can identify their name, (so windows 7 do) but not the android players ( i have tested almost every media player available in market, now i am using miui player with the same problem). I have HTC magic with CM7.2 and the problem is with greek letters in songs which they appear to me as chinese ones and therefore i am not able to make playlists, choose a specific song from my list...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm loving my new Note 2, and hating my formerly loved Macbook Pro. The latest in a series of fails is this: I have a 64gb sandisk sdhc card that was working in the Note just perfectly, but the macbook could not read it via its card reader (or any other way, really). Like a fool, I tried reformatting it in the mac's disk utility. That failed halfway through, and the card will no longer mount in my Note 2. Thus, I can't format it there, at least in any way I know of.
How I might be able to reformat the card, it would be lovely. I heard about a windows app called bootlce, but I don't have bootcamp set up right now (and my only windows copy is xp, not sure if that would see the card either).

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, in my LwW Wt19 (Gingerbeard 2.3.4), the default Dialer (phonebook?) only keeps 30 days of recent calls, but others aplications (for example Go Contacts Ex, ExDialer) let me watch all calls I have ever done. So it makes me think that the problem is the default dialer.

After upgrading to Gmail 4.3 on both of my devices (TF101 running Team EOS 4, and One S running LiquidSmooth 2.1), I had the ability to archive/delete from notifications. However, I noticed that this function was missing yesterday; it's gone back simply to "swipe to dismiss".
I've tried reinstalling, to no avail.
i want to add a button for my android app that i am creating on eclipse but i want to do it by dragging it from the views list and the problem is that there is no views list in my eclipse. how do i open the views list? i have allready added the adt plugin. is there a way to open the views list or if its not there the problem is with the adt?

I cannot read it from my phone or computer. It doesn't even show that it is there. I lost all my photos and music. Bummer! Learn from my experience and remove the SD card before installing the update, just in case.

The context menu does appear, however, it shows the context menu for the last item that the context menu had appeared. For example, if I long press the item C of the list then the context menu for item C appears, and later if I click on item B, with openContextMenu() the context menu for item C will again appear, not for B that I was expecting. How can I set the current item for which the context menu will appear to be the item of the list the user clicks on? I do have the position from onListItemClick() and I was trying to find a call like setContextMenuItem() or something, but I can't find anything.

I am hoping to create my own protocol handler for urls in a webview. I have tried two approaches already. The first was to attempt something similar to the approach defined here to create a customer protocol handler. http://java.sun.com/developer /onlineTraining/ protocol handlers / This works in a command-line Java program if I correctly set the system property java.protocol.handler.pkgs, but it does not work in Android, probably because I cannot figure out where to define this system property. Defining the system property in the code does not work. I assume this is because it needs to be loaded when the application first starts. I have also attempted to use URL.setURLStreamHandlerFactory. This works for creating URL objects within the code, but it does not seem to be associated with the WebView. Any ideas on how to get this working?

This works, but is there a way to filter out certain urls from my domain? For example, my app can only do something useful for the user if it gets a url like: www.mywebsite.com/orange

I can't do anything useful for them, so I'd like to just let them continue using the browser to open that url.
