I listen to a radio with Flash on browser (it doesn't have an app and doesn't appear in any radio apps). The problem is Flash stops when the screen is off. Is it possible to keep Flash running when the screen is off?

I'm using a Tecno T3 running android 2.3.5, and using a qualcomm msm7627a chipset, I've tried rooting it using one click methods but to no avail. so I came across a thread that says If I flash a cwm recovery, I can use universal gingerbread root to root the phone. I Dont know how to port cwm to my device, so I decided to use the cwm for the karbonn a7+ which uses the same chipset. will it work?

I have "successfully" installed the MikRunny v1.13 CDMA ROM but I am stuck in the white HTC splash screen. I did not back up my original stock ROM (the worst mistake ever.) But I have wiped everything (except the / SD card/ portion of my external card) each time I try to flash a .zip ROM.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a completely broken screen/lcd/digitizer on my Samsung Galaxy S3, debug mode was not on. The phone works as it will still vibrate when turned on and the LED / Menu / Back buttons light up during a boot. USB connector works as well. The phone was not previously rooted.
I had most important data on the sd card and I've already wrote off any other data on the phone as I've since moved on to a GN2. I would like to make use of the S3 (not necessarily as a phone but a server, security camera, etc.). I've read several posts here about my options and looked at numerous google articles, all seem to require debug mode being on or assume/require the data/OS must remain as this is what the user is trying to recover. I do not care if all data is lost on the phone, I just want to make the device useful again.
Am I out of luck if debug mode was not enabled or can I flash through adb via some obscure mechanism? Also note that fastboot is not an option here as the S3 (samsung) does not have it enabled. I am unable to get into "Download Mode" as I cannot see info on the screen.
I flashed my intex aqua flash using a rom on [url]... and my phone now stucks at boot screen......

It happens when I'm in the browser, email app, etc. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
When i fire up my youtube app, i get a quick black screen flash and it goes back to home screen. The app doesnt launch at all. It was working just fine for several months, all of a sudden it started doing this.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI wasn't able to find anything on this after a cursory search, but it seems like my music player sometimes kicks in when the screen is off and the phone is stowed in my pocket. I can't seem to recreate the behavior predictably by playing with any buttons, though, so I'm not sure what's triggering it.
I have the new HTC Hero on Sprint.
Any ideas what might be causing this behavior, or how I can stop it? It's pretty embarrassing, and I'm nervous to go into a theatre with the phone at all now, even when it is on silent. Even short of the music player, more often the phone will wake from screen-off with some other page up front (not the main home page, but one of the other views like the home page, the ones you get to by flicking right or left from the home page...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded (through tmobile) from a G1 (which I had since launch date, and loved until it just became too slow and all support ended) three weeks ago. I went to the tmobile store, and checked out the options. I LOVED the Vibrant, but I had some concerns over it's apparent "flimsieness"... the sales rep assured me that it only felt breakable, and that the Gorilla Glass screen and other features of the construction made it just as durable as all other phones. So, I got it.
I love it, still.
Thing is, last night, I picked it up off my desk, and it would not unlock. When I looked closer, I could see a small crack running under the screen. The phone has never been dropped, never been hit with any impact... nothing. It has never been out of my possession, never been water damaged... nothing. But, now, it has this cracked screen and won't unlock, won't do anything. Plus, now this morning it is showing a completely pink screen.
Of course, I know these (and all tiny little smartphones) are fragile. I have insurance for that very reason. If I break my phone, I am more than willing to pay the $130 through insurance to replace it. But, I do not feel like I (or anyone else, for that matter) broke this thing. The most impact it has had on the screen is button use on the touchscreen. If this thing is going to do this as a result of normal (actually, probably lighter-than-normal) use, I feel like it is insane for tmobile to expect me to pay for the claim. I do not think it is reasonable to ask a customer to pay $130 for a new phone 3 weeks into owning it, when it has not been damaged due to any human error or damage.
I had a Ghost Armor protector on it, and it was in a plastic protective shell, and it shows NO signs of damage beyond the messed up screen. I feel like that, coupled with the GPS thing (the awesome GPS was the second main selling point the sales rep spouted, after the Gorilla Glass screen!) and the fact that tmobile inexplicably removed my unlimited text option ("accidentally" according to them), should mean something to someone.
So, any ideas for options here? Is there ANY chance that I can tmobile's warranty people to regard this as a warranty issue and not an insurance issue? I do not want to be $400 into a new phone after just 3 weeks, especially with no solid GPS, no Froyo, and the other issues. I have been with tmobile for 5 years, and always justified it by their good customer service; so how can i get that customer care to work for ME now?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried to load velocity using ROM manager and it would boot, but it got force quit messages repeatedly before I could do anything else so I tried holding volume down, home, and send together and it flashed a screen quickly with the little android guy and a progress bar and then after that it won't go past the android logo. I tried using the LG-utility to flash it but it gives me errors and it wont flash it. What can I do besides run the thing over and get a new phone from insurance?

The problem is, if you want to listen to iplayer radio it stops playing when the screen is turned off, or if you switch to a different window. This is obviously to stop flash playing when its not used, but is there a way to maybe add Safe websites, or just turn that function off completely.
