Recently I rooted my phone without unlocking bootloader.
Now I need to flash custom rom on to my rooted device with locked bootloader. How can I do it?

Are there other ways to flash a recovery with a locked bootloader?
My Problems:
I can't flash my stock recovery through fastboot with a locked bootloader.
I can't boot into my recovery because my current recovery is TWRP 2.5.0.1 and I have a locked bootloader.
I can't unlock my bootloader because I have used an IMEI Hack Tool and set my IMEI to 0 (I guess).
I can't boot into my ROM because I used an IMEI Hack Tool.
I can't Force Upgrade too (Vol Up + Down + Power). It only shows a pink/purple screen.
Solutions:
I can only flash a recovery with an unlocked bootloader.
I can only boot into a recovery with an unlocked bootloader (except for stock).
I can only unlock bootloader if my IMEI has restored.
I can only restore my IMEI if I can boot into my ROM.
I can only boot into my ROM if I have a stock recovery.
I can only Force Upgrade if I have restored my IMEI.
If I could only restore my IMEI through fastboot,
I used mskip's toolkit to root my device, which succeeded, but I am unable to flash a custom rom. I've tried to flash 2 different versions of paranoid android, using cwm recovery, but I get the following error :
'assert failed: getprop("ro. build. product. device")...
E: Error in /sdcard/0/download/pa_grouper...
(Status 7)
BTW, I had no problems flashing pa to my Nexus 4&10 and loving that rom.
it is possible to make Android and Windows dualboot or not. The Acer Support told me that the bootloader is locked, so it is impossible to install it without hacking. So what I want to know is how I can hack the UEFI? I like Windows,but only for school or homework. I need Android aswell...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have installed the paranoid android 3+ rom but now I cannot access TWRP or the bootloader screen. Android boots normally and the tablet is perfectly functional. When the tablet is off, there is no way to get to TWRP using the keys (power on with Vol- pressed etc. I have used all possible combinations). Also, there is no option to boot into recovery mode from the menu in "Backup & reset". Also, when I try to boot into recovery through a terminal emulator it again boots into andoid normally as if I just did a normal reboot. The "reboot recovery" command issued from the terminal emulator does not boot into TWRP. Trying to boot into recovery mode from within Phoenix Suite again boots the machine normally rather than in recovery mode. It's driving me nuts. Could it be a corrupt/locked bootloader? Is it something else? It seems to me that the only possible path for the bootloader is to load Android.
Is there any way to blind flash the bootloader again? It seems that this is the culprit since I can copy TWRP to nandg through the terminal emulator ("cat /extsd/recovery.img > /dev/block/nandg; sync; sync ;sync" but then again rebooting goes into android rather than recovery mode.
The tablet connects normally through USB to my PC and adb sees it properly.
I was able to root the device by downgrading it but when i upgrade manually thru flashtool to ics 431,root and superuser app is gone.i also tried Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v16 but it does not show any restore backup option and nothing happens.. I read each and every related forum searched web but no luck .

Step ONE:
The first thing to do is to download and install Titanium Backup from the market, and backup all of your apps and user data.Once this is done, shut your phone off.
STEP TWO:
Press and hold your volume up button. then press and release your power key while continuing to hold your volume up button.
Your phone will boot into a white background menu that has green text at the top, followed by FASTBOOT highlighted in red, followed by text in orange, then 4 options. You can release your volume up key once this menu is up.

instructions to attempt to install liquid smooth (URL...) ROM. I had backed up everything on titanium backup and using the back up in ROM manager. In step 3.1, "flash a recovery image," I didn't think I needed to do this, as I thought it was a part of ROM manager.I proceeded onward, and after the phone finished making a back up, immediately after it started to install the new ROM, the screen went black (I assume the phone turned off).

What I am trying to accomplish:
I am on Touchwiz 4.3 and the 4.4.2 KK release was leaked in our forum. I used the dsixda kitchen to break it down and made a ROM out of it that successfully flashed in recovery but kernel panics at the AT&T splash boot screen because the RAMdisk doesn't match the bootloader version. So I need to upgrade the bootloader to the 4.4.2 version so it will boot.
I unpacked the RAMdisk and there is nothing in any of the init.xx files that points to the bootloader. I even used a hex editor to look at the init binary which references the bootloader but there was nothing in there that I could change (from what I saw).

I have a phone called Y9190 that suddenly turned off and will not turn back on. I tried to flash it with flashtool, but the program sends me this error:

I have managed to root it successfully which is great but the rom on both does not come with Google Apps Suite.
I know it's possible to flash the gapps once rooted and you have a recovery on Huawei's as I have done this on my honour.
The Chinese recovery available for P1 doesn't work on my P1 or XL.
Is there any way to flash the gapps packaged without a recovery or to do it manually?
I have a Samsung S4 - US Verizon - SCH-i545 Build VRUEMK2. It is currently on version 4.3. I've done some research on rooting my device recently but have not gone through with the procedure. In my research, I've read that once you root your device the boot menu will come up with an unlocked deadbolt symbol and a message that reads something about a Custom Rom.
What's tripping me out is that recently I started my phone and it shows the Custom with unlocked deadbolt on screen, but I have NOT rooted my device. What the heck is going on? Could my equipment be compromised? Are there known apps that would change the boot menu on the S4.... I'm at a loss here and whenever I google this I just find instructions for rooting...
So I have a rooted Droid X running official 2.1. I want 2.2 but I want to keep my original bootloader. Is there an update.zip that can take me to the OTA or the leaked OTA without messing with my booloader or recovery? I would also not like to wipe my data ether.

I would like to know how I go about backing this thing up. It is rooted and has absolutely no blootwear installed. Is it possible to flash a custom recovery. Like TWRP or CWM to save a image of the rom. I have already did a data and app backup with Mybackup Pro. Now I would like to backup the Rom and maybe do dump. Is it possible and if so how? Not really that comfortable with ADB/fastboot, truthfully I don't understand what the difference is. I already have drivers setup for Samsung Galaxy Nexus on my Win 8 notebook. Will installing ADB/fastboot screw things up?

When I flash an sbf file, particularly the one that returns to 2.0.1 stock, does that replace 1) the kernel, 2) bootloader, 3)baseband, and anything else I can't think of? lol
