View 1 RepliesBack when we all found out about the bad gps on this phone there was talk to file a complaint against att for false advertising of gps capabilities with the Captivate. Well, I was pissed and went ahead and filed the complaint. I received a letter in the mail a few weeks ago that the FCC had received the complaint.Today, I received a response from ATT in my inbox.

View 1 Replies View Relatedon Android devices I experience lag between actually touching the screen and the event when the application knows about this touch (about 0.1s). Is this a mandatory for Android in general, or is this the limitation of hardware I have tried, or is this a limitation of Android versions prior to 4.1 (I haven't tested JB yet)? I have tested several musical apps for Android and they ALL lag. I press the virtual button, and only after a gap I hear the sound, which makes it all unusable in realtime. When I tested iOS based devices the response was just immediate. So I'd like to know if Android device can ever do such things at all, or I shouldn't expect that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy i9003(SL). I think there is a problem with touch screen response speed.Although Galaxy SL has a 1 ghz processor and better gpu than SonyEricsson Xperia Mini, It seems that Xperia Mini is faster when we're talking about touchscreen response(messaging, sliding the menu etc)
After trying another lower resolution(i mean lower than galaxy sl) android phones such as galaxy ace, galaxy gio or android sdk(because you can set any resolution with it) I realized touch screen response is related with resolution.
Lower the resolution faster the touchscreen response gets.I found this really annoying. You're paying much more to get a faster and big screen phone. But what you get is slower than the cheaper ones.
Do you think is there a way to lower the resolution on samsung galaxy sl to get a faster response? I found a way to change it but instead of changing the resolution(like 800x480 to 640x360) it changes LCD density and that is not what i want because it does not affect any response speed. or maybe another way? Changing kernel, improving gpu etc?
I have a note 2, and the touch buttons next to the menu button responds late somtimes, or it wont work at all sometimes. What could be the prob?
Normally it works fine, and my ram are under half when it happens so it is not ram. Also everything else works even tho the touch buttons don't.
I want an call blocking/black list App which will blocks the selected blacklisted number, and while that number call us...i want a response tone to be like "the user you are calling is unavailable" or a simple n silent call end up with some beeps unlike responding that blocked number as "the user is busy",as bcos this busy tone wil be saying him that we are rejecting his call. I really wrexedup in searching this app.
in earlier i used nokia5230 S60v5,there i had an app named "M-Cleaner" which was also cald as "360 Principle",developed by some china dev's.this app works such like saying the user is unavailable or simply ending up the call without saying anything. It's having an option of call forwarding rejection method.so i use to keep a some real unavailable number in that option n make choose that call forwarding rejection/blocking method.i think due to this option that app was able to do so(as like my requirement).
How to find such an app in our android platform. I thought symbian is itself having such an outstanding app,y not for android?...n jumped to android.
My mobile-Samsung galaxy Y (not rooted).
Asphalt 8 issue that the game menu was no response even the button was highlighted.

I've written a port scanner for Android. It works properly when using a connection over Wifi, but on the mobile (3G) connection, everything reports a false positive. Why is this? I don't know very much about the way the mobile data network is structured and I'd like to know more. Is my service provider meddling with the connections, or have I just done something wrong?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem. I'm doing a http post request to a URL like this; DefaultHttpClient httpclient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httppost = new HttpPost(url); HttpResponse response = httpclient.execute(httppost); I am able to get the response content (html in this case) but I would like to be able to get the url of the response. Is there a way? Or could i use some other technique to do the post request and retrieve the url? The repsonse url is lke www.url.com?x=1&y=2 and would like to get the parameter values, I've tried to use the getParams().getParameter() on the HttpResponse object without any success. So if anyone has a solution to get the parameters without getting the url.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I try to scroll using a scrollview (wrapped around a textview), there will be no response. I've noticed this in both my apps and the only common thing between them is the textview in both apps use Spanned (SpanableStringBuilder to be exact) text. This happens even when there is no activity on the window and no any pops up either.
View 7 Replies View RelatedCurrently, I use a regular activity with some EditText fields as a registration screen in my application. The inputs are used to construct a soap message which is posted to the registration server, with the response being parsed to do some configuration of the application.I'd like to change this to have the registration page load in a WebView instance, so that the registration process takes place on an external web page. This would make it easier to make changes to the registration process without having to deploy a new build, as it would just be a matter of changing the web page that is loaded in the WebView. The question is would there be any way for me to get the response that is sent back from my registration server to the client? From what I can tell, if I went this route, there wouldn't be a way for me to parse the response like I currently do to initialize the application settings.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm getting used to the touch screen but it doesn't half stress me at times. (My fat Lincolnshire sausage fingers certainly don't help)I often struggle with the keys on the edge of the screen. I don't know why that would be. Oh, and the most strange phenomenon is when a left hand finger, despite trying repeatedly, fails to click a button so I try my right hand and it works first time (or vice versa). Anyone else find this or should I book myself in at the lunatic asylum?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a ksoap2 lib for communicating from android client with SOAP web service. Great job was done by ksoap team, but the problem is, there is no any good example how to use it correct in different aspects. For instance I get in soap response following data: It's a complex object, or rather a collection of Status Setting objects. When I try to get a property of SoapObject it's only 1 property with all that data as a string. It can't be parsed as json too. Unbelievable that nobody met same problem regarding to popularity android is gaining. Would be very cool to know if somebody solved this issue and how.
