As of recently, I've noticed that the play store no longer has tablet spptlight, or even show which apps are made of tablet.
I used to be able go see "Designed for phones", but now nothing at all.
Does this mean Google doesnt care anymore?

yesterday I reflashed a tablet with a clean install of cm7, factory reset clear cache etc. Latest Gapps.
I set up the main account with a gmail account I made for my kids because the device is mainly used by them. I added my own google account so it can be used with the play store to redownload all the apps I have purchased for them. I have set the play store to use my google account.
But all the apps I have previously paid for have their price listed beside them in the store, rather than saying "purchased". If I try to buy them again it gives me message saying there was an error with the transaction.I have set up a device with 2 accounts like this before and it worked ok.
But just recently i noticed my phone acting weird. Seems when i open google play store and do a search, Most recently i did "Weather Widgets"
It will return with like 6000 app results. Normally when you click the apps bar it takes you to the app results, When you scroll down and you reach the end of the list it will auto load the next group of apps.
Well now when that happens it no longer loads anymore results and it stays stuck on the first 10~15.BUT this is the weird part.. IT ONLY DOES IT FOR APPS and GAMES.Music and Books the list loads as usual.
So far i have wiped the cache / data and just tried uninstalling the recent update and took it back to version 3.7.15 but google play auto updates itself back to 3.8
How to stop google play from auto updating? soon as i wipe it back to 3.7 it auto updates back to 3.8
I'm getting an "insufficient storage" error on installing apps from Google Play (even small 6mb apps). I find if i delete several apps and run it again it works (there is apparently 470MB free despite this).
I've seen references to changing settings so that Google Play installs to the SD card but cant figure out which apply here. And also to clearing the cache for applications (in the TWRP app perhaps?).
I've run the jmz script from the Nabi 2 root thread, but I think I'm missing a step or two (although apps do in fact install, which they wouldn't before).

The problem is that some apps are not showing in the app drawer, like for example contacts, os google talk. They are installed, becaused they show in the list from Settings->apps. I can't access those apps and other by any way!! I tried different launchers, but it's the same.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a tablet for my wife. Not the best thing out there but hey, she likes the solitaire on it. The amazon app store sucks. I want the "real" app store..... I've tried downloading a bunch of diff versions. But nothing wants to work. I got one to work, well, somewhat. It let access it and play around. It wouldn't let me d/l anything. Any good app is in the Google play store.

I updated the YouTube app from Google Play Store a few days ago. After it was updated, I tried to open it, but a message popped up saying that I needed to install Google Play Services and linked me to the app's Play Store page. Google Play Services downloads fine, but during the installation process, an error message pops up, saying:
"Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID."
I don't have a custom ROM or a custom kernel; they're both stock.
I have a serious issue with my Goclever A93 tablet. Some time ago i've decided to root the device as well as remove some of the useless, bundle apps however i do think i've removed a little too much.
The problem is the tablet properly uses the sync option to sync emails with my google account however i'm not able to download ANY app from Google Play Store. Whenever i'm trying to do so (either update a pre-installed app or simply download a new one), the download simply freezes.
IN other words, i select either UPDATE or DOWNLOAD for an app, then hit the ACCEPT & Download button and that's it. There is an information "Downloading ...", the progress bar is moving HOWEVER the download never starts!
I've tried a huge variety of solutions - i've updated the tablet's software (from 4.0.4 to 4.0.4 but a newer build), updated Google Play app to 3.5.19 (newest i guess), removed external SD card, did dozens of factory resets -still nothing.
I'm guessing, again, that i've removed too much system apps while in the root mode, nevertheless i do not know which ones i'm missing.
I have bought an Acme TB04 tablet and it does not originaly have the google play market, only the mobile 1 market, I have tried for the past 2 days to get google play to work, but I always get a message that google play has stopped when i launch the app. I have updated the services and framework with no good results.

Ive downloaded ADB and followed instructions, Ive also got the correct drivers etc, when i ran the root tool by jmz I chose option 1 and it ran through the process, is there anything else I need to during during this as I then booted up and it was just the same as before?! In the Google play app it will show the amount of achievements next to each game, ie 2/14, but clicking on my achievements shows a blank page. Leader boards still work though..Tried clearing cache, re-installing, etc. Last resort is to restore my tablet.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 7 & a HTC Desire...I have cleared cache, cleared data and force stopped Google Play Store on both devices....an APP called Easy Money doesnt show up at all on either device....but on Google Play Store website it constantly shows as installed and I can't delete it from the list at all...I think it is causing problems stopping my devices from showing all my APPS in play store..I have tried installing and uninstalling it on both devices also but still no joy getting rid of it from the Play website.

Missing apps: Google Play Movies and TV, Magazines, Ears, Books.
Now in the JB some apps come preinstalled. Unfortunately they don't show up in the drawer but when I try to reinstall them, I get the error message that the application already exists. When I go to system/apps, they are listed there. I have market-enabler installed with the market set to the US. I can see all categories and can install the apps through Google Play (browser) on the phone. But I still get the same error message.
Is there a way I can unhide them and use them?
Don't know what happened but the my downloads section looks like it does after a factory reset, with all the free downloads not listed, the difference though is that if I search for them in the market, they all still show as installed. anyone have any ideas?

So, I decided to try to download from play.google.com and got this error: "com.google.checkout.generic.FORBIDDEN", and it wouldn't let me buy it.
I just tried again to download if from the site, and I didn't get the error, and it worked. However, I still can't download from my phone .

But now i found that there are apps missing that i was able to download on my "inferior" NOVO 7 Elf II, such as "Dodonpachi Resurrection" and "Espgaluda 2". The Nexus 7 is very capable of running those 2 games.
How can i make it so those missing apps appear on Google Play on my Nexus 7?
When I try to install any app from Google play store it all goes well until I press the 'accept and download' button and the app just goes back to main screen and the app is not installed. I am using Samsung Galaxy S3. I cleared the data of google play yesterday because I was getting these annoying messages which slowed my phone down (they were popping up every 2 seconds or so)

When I log onto google play, and navigate to my previous apps, it says they are still installed, and won't let me reinstall them. Is there any way round this?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue on my poor old Samsung S2. Suddenly I am not able to download certain apps in the google play store because they are not available in my country. I live in the U.S. and have always had this phone in the U.S. so I'm not sure why it suddenly started giving me this message. Currently the app I am trying to download is Guess the 90's which I know is available in the U.S. Is there an easy fix for this that does not involve rooting my phone or calling google support? I have tried resetting my address in google wallet and resetting the play app to no avail.
