View 4 RepliesI switched recently from a black berry to an Android 2.3 powered device - Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon.
Email invite messages from Outlook for meetings do not show the calendar detail. Specifically, I can not see the date and time of the meeting invitations. I can perform actions to "Accept", "Decline", or Tentative" the meeting invitation. Unfortunately, there isn't any meeting detail so I don't know when the meeting is scheduled.
This is very frustrating and makes the Samsung Stratosphere or possibly the Android platform not fit for corporate environments. If I can not get this to work I will be switching to an iPhone and I will recommend to my entire corporate enterprise that we avoid Android based Smart Devices.
The Black Berry BEZ environment also provided information on meeting conflicts when you are sent a meeting invitation.
I own a Droid Razr M (8 GB) and I am running a stock build(9.8.1Q-78-1), and yesterday I reset my phone to factory defaults because I filled up it's disk space, then, I re-rooted it, it worked fine, but now, today I am missing EVERY SINGLE stock app, I tried resetting it to factory defaults again, and it still was missing them all, I then used a device explorer, and my "system/app" folder is like completely empty, (DROID RAZR M Running JB 4.1.2 as stated in the title)
If it makes a difference, it is a Verizon, it was 100% stock still, I had not installed anything yet after I rooted it, and the root was 100% successful because I did it the same way I did before.
All I need is, Camera, Galary, and Calendar now.
I have enjoyed being able to check all my e-mail accounts in one place, so despite having the Yahoo! Mail app that was recently put in the Market, I have been using the stock mail app to check my Yahoo! mail.Last night when I checked my Yahoo! Mail through the stock mail app, I was getting weird error messages. Most of the time it would go ahead and put me in my Yahoo! inbox but there would also be a message saying "login failed." I would click OK and then go about my business because e-mails were coming through. I figured it would sort itself out at some point. This morning, it was still doing it and it was annoying, so I re-booted the phone. Same problem. So I decided to delete the account and re-install it (a few weeks ago I had some issues with my Exchange mail account and deleting then re-installing fixed them.)Now, when I try to re-install the account it says "Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password." I have tried it over and over. I know I am using the right username and password - I just used them on my desktop PC to get into the account. And my Yahoo! Mail app still works on the phone.Anyone have any ideas what has happened and/or how I can fix this? I really want to continue to be able to check my Yahoo! mail on my phone without having to use the Yahoo! app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a new user of android phones, having previously used iPhones. I got this phone from someone, so there were some apps installed. Thinking uninstalling was as simple as deleting the icon on the menu, I did just that, only to realise the apps are still installed (when I went into my installed apps to check the list). I have also encountered some incidents where I have installed an app but the icon does not appear in my menu, or has disappeared somehow. How can I get these icons back? I understand I can uninstall and reinstall but is there an alternative?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen ever I try to log in to either my yahoo mail app or my stock email app. I get an error message
Ever since I got my phone which was 3 days ago I couldn't login to the stock email app
The stock email apps gives me this error message: Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password.
I know im not putting in the wrong email and password, because I logged into my email just perfectly on the computer. And I am NOT connected to wifi when I try to login
I downloaded yahoo mail. It was working fine until this morning. When i tried to login it gave me an error message SSL certificate-check date and time error
Also on the stock email app, does have the ability to add more than one account? I never been in the stock app because it won't let me log in. I would love to continue using yahoo mail (if it ever starts working again) but I only have about 25mb left of memory. And the reason I prefer to use that app instead of the stock email is because it allows to add more than one account.
I have a gsm galaxy nexus, running the latest jelly bean, not rooted. I recently noticed that my clock app is gone. I can no longer find it in the app drawer. Also, the widget on the lock screen is gone, replaced by an older looking clock that has none of the functionality (stop watch, alarms, etc...) that the stock app came with. How I can get it back? Any app randomly disappear?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have Samsung GT-P6800, that is 7.7 tab, actually, some days ago, it has developed the bootloop problem, I decided to load custom recovery and take the backup of the data, because I can't able to lose the data as the data is very much important that is stored on the tab, but when I load the Odin V3.70 & V1.85 and in the PDA section I load the .tar file of TWRP 2.6.3.0 recovery, and flash then I got the success & pass message in the Odin, but when I restart the tab in the recovery mode, I again go in to the Default stock recovery that is e3 Android System Recovery, I don't know why this is happening, as I have tried many versions of Odin as well as twrp and cwm recovery, but whenever I go in the recovery mode, I found the stock recovery loading(e3).

Next month I heard talk about samsung releasing the kit kat update 4.4 to this phone correct. I would love to revert back so I can receive it inless you know of other ways of getting it other than installing custom roms....witch im not comfortable doing....I already messed up my phone in the process of rooting doing the ad block app....which then when I uninstalled it. I couldn't connect to the google servers.....so I had to go back and edit the host file and got it working finally but now I just want to remove this recovery..I want to update my rom I know people say do complete wipe and install the stock rom and that should remove it but I'm iffy on the subject because I don't want to brick my device if it doesn't agree with something. I'm not all that new to rooting I had a coolpad quattro which I rooted in the past phone btw don't ever buy it. View 7 Replies View Relatedsource for a 'stock ROM' for my SGS II GT-I1900G (Chinese version), for Region: Europe and Country: United Kingdom, and based on ICS.
I have been round and round this for 3 weeks now trying to find the right ROM so that my phone will work as if it was a UK phone. Mostly I find myself directed to parts of this web-site which I am them prevented from accessing because I am judged to be technically not competent (which is probably true, but not useful).
How to backup my stock rom safely so that I can revert after flashing to a custom rom....

I have a rooted Galaxy S3 running stock 4.1.2. My husband recently upgraded his unrooted S3 to 4.3 and I'm super jealous of his stock email app. I tried copying the apk from his phone to mine, but it didn't work.
A few days ago I successfully updated the email app on my phone to the version from 4.4, and I thought installing 4.3 would be as simple as renaming the old files and copying the new apks. But the 4.3 version isn't working. I tried with and without the corresponding odex files, renaming the apk from SecEmail_J.apk to email.apk, but nothing I've tried works. When I click on the email apk in Root Explorer, I tried to install, but it says problem parsing. I copied SecEmail_J.apk, SecEmail_J.odex, SecExchange.apk, and SecExchange.odex, rebooted, no stock email app. Then I tried just the two apks, rebooted, no stock email.
I was trying to create custom roms for the Galaxy Y pro (B5510) but I am having problems deodexing the latest stock ROM lately. I tried all tools which deodexes a ROM but I have no luck with any of them, as if there is something wrong during the actual deodexing process.
As you can see, there is no working custom ROM for the Galaxy Y pro lately.
I need to get my phone is a working state. Can't boot into recovery, I can boot into Odin. How to restore my phone to a working state? It's a GT-i5510M, carrier is Bell.

View 7 Replies View Related I am on the Samsung Galaxy SII T989 (T-mobile) and I am on Jellybean 4.1.2. I enjoy the stock messaging app because it is simple and I assume resource friendly (I like efficiency in my electronics), but I'm having a hard time making a custom message notification when I receive a text message that is forwarded from my gmail using phone[url]... It shows up as just *myemail*[url]... so when I add as a contact it adds the email and I have the option to customize the tones for messaging but it doesn't work, I assume because there is no phone #. I even tried to find the number that is used to forward an email through sms and all I got from t-mobile was 500, which didn't work either.
I know that non-stock messaging apps like go sms and handcent are capable of doing this easily but I'm weary of moving from stock due to other messaging apps possibly using more resources, but any other apps . get a notification using stock. What I also like about stock messaging btw is the feature where if you get a text message a circle with a message icon appears on your screen and you can just swipe that to unlock and go directly to your thread with that person, if there were other good apps that did that and the notification that would be great.
I have a Galaxy SII SGH-I727 and my computer does not recognize my phone as a USB device. I've already tried several other cables and computers. Odin is unfortunately not an option for me. I am trying to unroot my phone (I understand that flashing to a stock ROM unroots it...I hope) so that I can send it in since rooting it voids the warranty.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn 2.1 my calendar is only showing back to July 12 depute there being several years of data prior to that. Entries made in the phone do not show up in Google. Entries manually made now, say 7/4 (prior to the 'cutoff' I am seeing in the calendar app) appear immediately in the phone. Any ideas why I am missing all this data? I've tried re-syncing w/ no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe stock email app for my GS4 was working fine until today. Now every time I try to send an email out or reply to an email the app just freezes and the screen goes black and then when you press the power button it takes me back to the lock screen and you can't swipe to unlock for about a few seconds. then I get a message that the app is not responding. How do I fix this? I tried restarting my phone and clearing the cache but still no luck.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRunning a Galaxy Nexus on Stock 4.1.1 (rooted).Last week, Play Store randomly started giving me the DF-BPA-09 Error when I wanted to download new apps. Old apps would update fine. I searched XDA and found that turning Google Sync Off and restarting the phone solved it. It worked once or twice, but the problem kept coming back.
Then read another thread that said go to All Apps > Play Store >Uninstall Updates and Clear Data. I did this, and now when I start Play Store, it permenantly gives me 'Server Error', with a Retry Button below it.I have Titanium Backup Pro, so tried restoring an older version, tried Freezing and Unfreezing the App, still not working.
DF-BPA-09 Error used to come, Cleared Play Store Data and now stuck at Server Error.
I just brick it while rooting thru odin. while in process of rooting and give me a result of FAIL. i accidentally click the start without resetting my phone. and now, when im going to open my phone i got this error
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Any link where i can download a stock rom of my phone.
