I rooted my LG Thrill 4G (LG optimus 3D) with superoneclick which went smoothly and was fine. For some reason without me not even knowing the basics of a ROM decided to get an app ROM Toolbox I believe and play around with it. I did not download any ROM I was just looking at a cyano something rom when all of a sudden my phone froze. I tried turning it off I even waited 30 minutes for it to unfreeze but nothing happened so I pulled the battery. When I turned the phone on it just stays at the LG logo. I went ahead and pulled the battery again and started the phone in system recovery, but I get this no matter what I try to do:
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Can't mount CACHE: recovery/log
E:Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
I've got a rooted Android device (Motorola Photon Q running stock ICS 4.0.4) which happened to have rear camera broken - specifically - the camera connector on motherboard . Before, all the apps I tried were able to switch on the flashlight to use as a torch. Since the camera went broke, none of them work. When opening stock Camera application, it shows front facing camera view. The switch is grayed out. It used to show an error like "failed to initialize" about back camera before showing front camera view, but it does not anymore, after trying to fix the connector I've written my own application to at least debug it and find out where the problem lays, and tried a few ways to light the flash, but no luck.
The question is:
Any way to bypass the checking of back camera (starting it) and going directly to switching on the flashlight? Or is there any general or device-specific way to enable flashlight without camera working (but plugged in, just a few pins of total 32 are lost)? I can provide any specific logs, files or parts of the ROM
I will be getting another motherboard in a few months probably, but before then, I want to challenge this. As of ideas, I was searching and thinking of either creating sth like DroidLED for my device (however I dont know if such approach is still valid under ICS) or somehow switching hardware addresses of back and front camera, so the front one would act like a back one. Both hard or impossible.
Whenever i start my samsung galaxy y s5360 screen appears completely white like a flashlight, but the phone is working i can recieve callls on my phone but cannot see anything on my device. even in dwnld mode & recovery mode the same problem persits, i cannot see anything .
I have installed custom creed v2.0 rom on my android device. Recently i have replaced motherboard of my device. Under Warranty.
I Want To Flash stock rom on my device but i cannot see anything on my device so i am unable to flash my device.
Another problem is that when i enter download mode odin detects my device but when i try to flash the rom it says unable to open com port.
At Present my device is working properly but when i restart my device the problem returns !!!!!!
Has anyone found an app that lets you use the camera led as a flashlight? The droidlight didnt work and the others only use the screen.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI am really digging it. I turned it on last night and expected it to just make the screen brighter so I could see my door lock and my keys. I was pleasantly surprised to find an actual flashlight on my phone. I was very surprised and impressed both.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhere can I find that exact flashlight app that is in Velocity 0.3? When I look in the market, there are TONS of them and most of them only make the touch screen turn bright.P.S. I did have Velocity 0.3, but went back to just a stock rom with Universal Androot. Google maps, which I actually use a lot, was being very slow and buggy for me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had any issues leaving the LEDs on (using Lampu) as far as heat from the phone? I can assume there was a reason that HTC didnt allow the LEDs to be on for video recording. Not sure if its just current draw or possible heat/damage to the driver circuit for the LEDs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to hide just the notification icon without hiding the notification itself from pulldown?
Use case: Yahoo Weather app, the persistent notification in the pulldown is beautiful. I want it to always be there. However, the little temperature notification icon is pretty ugly, and I want to hide/disable it.
Using JB's "disable notifications" won't work since it will disable the entire notification, not just the icon.
What are people using for a flashlight app? I downloaded one and it wouldn't work with the epic.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving only recently bought a HTC Desire, I am now bugged with a flashlight issue. View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot seem to find an app that allows the moment to use the LED flash as a flashlight. I noticed that there is one that works for the droid, but when I search for it on the market with my phone I cannot find it.. or any other app that will do it.
Anyone know of one?
When I do some research on the Android SDK website, I know that I have to grant the permission "FLASHLIGHT" in order to use the light. However, I cannot find in the API any methods to control the flash light. But I believe there is a way because I can see so many apps doing this in the Android Market. How can I do so?
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes any one know of an app compatable with the moment, that uses the camera flash for a flashlight, and could using the camera flash be bad on the bulb or led
View 49 Replies View RelatedThe first one the flashlight led stopped working in any app. It was returned. Now its replacement has another issue with the camera. I'm getting blocky colourful pixelation when the phone is on a gprs connection and I use the camera. At least that didn't happen on the first one. I'm getting seriously fed up with HTC. Will I get one that works properly? Might swap it for Samsung galaxy, but I know I'd miss sense. S there a fix for the camera bug? Updated software? It takes a perfect picture. It just looks wrong before you click the shutter.
