View 3 RepliesI have an audio file in .3gp format on my Android device which I wish to upload to YouTube. I know that YouTube is a video upload site and that I need to convert this sound file to video. I just want an image to display all the time the audio is playing. Google tells me there are number of tools that can help me. But I want to do this via java code from my Android device.
View 7 Replies View Relatedhad my g1 since it came out.Im trying to convert video files for it but everytime I do, the video player says it cannot play format it plays perfectly except it has no 'RW, PAUSE/PLAY, FF' options when I touch the screen. It keeps saying 'CANNOT PLAY VIDEO: Sorry, this video cannot be played. But it is playing the video just no options.I used SUPER C and followed all the instructions, converted like 7 different avi movies all the same.I used "MediaCoder' because you get to tweak the contrast, brightness and etc making video's picture perfect same thing though.I want to be able to watch videos on the G1.The YouTUBE apps is horendous and a joke compared to the iphone youtube app.

When I play a youtube videos and click on the powerbuton than it stops.
When I connect my Galaxy Nexus to my TV over HDMI, I can play YouTube videos but *only* the video shows on my TV.
I paired my phone with a Bluetooth mouse, but if I move the mouse or click (or tap the phone with my finger), the pause button and seek bar ONLY show on the phone, NOT the TV.
I would like to use the Bluetooth mouse as a remote, but obviously with no on-screen controls appearing, this is difficult.
I've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos. The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not working.Cleared cache etc but nothings working. What can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand.
I'm using Cyanogenmod 9 on my Hp Touchpad, I want to download all videos in a playlist on youtube, how to do that, I know we can individual videos using tubemate or some other apps but how to do it with all the files in a playlist at a time or automatically from the play list with needing to do one by one.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDid some Googling on this with no results. I have an N4 and have noticed (maybe since the last update to the YT app?) that there is an icon overlaying any video I watch, it's a rectangle with what looks like a wireless signal in the lower left that is there through the entire video. Accessing YT via Chrome it's not there. I'm almost always on wi-fi when watching videos.

I commute to school underground with no service for roughly 1.5 hours. During that time, I like to watch youtube videos. Besides TubeMate, is there any Android app (or any method on Android) to download youtube videos AUTOMATICALLY? I want to have the videos download while I sleep so it is available to me when I wake up and get ready. Right now I manually download some videos using TubeMate (when I remember).
I did have another setup using "youtube-dl" program on linux and setting up a cron job to download the latest video from a channel. I would then upload this to dropbox and then redownload it on my Android using FolderSync app.
Any better way to auto download new videos from youtube channels. I have a Galaxy S3.
I'm looking for a free app to allow me to play videos in the background. I tried 'Pvstar' but had a glitch with it where it stopped working.
I'm using a HTC one, so there are no issues with processing power.
When I go to the category section of Youtube, it'll only show a limited number of videos. THe previous versions used to let you browse an unlimited number of videos as long as you load more. I'm also no longer able to sort by most viewed for the week/day, most discussed, etc...
The app does look nice though but in order for me to access those old features, I go to the mobile website version, which isn't that great.
I am writing an application to play the you tube videos using streaming. First method: I am getting the RTSP URL to the video using GData APIs. Here is the code to play the RTSP url. VideoView mVideoView = new VideoView(this); setContentView(mVideoView); mVideoView.setVideoURI(Uri.parse("rtsp://rtsp2.youtube.com/CiILENy73wIaGQkDwpjrUxOWQBMYESARFEgGUgZ2aWRlb3MM/0/0/0/video.3gp")); mVideoView.start(); But it throws error on both G1 device and emulator (Emulator has some firewall problem as per mailing list) Here is the error message ERROR/PlayerDriver(35): Command PLAYER_INIT completed with an error or info PVMFFailure, Second method: A hack way to get the path of 3gp file from http://www.youtube.com/get_video?v=<VideoID>&t=<>&<>.. After getting the file path and I can call setVideoURI and it plays fine. But it is a hack way to achieve the requirement. I have checked the Youtube App also, it also does the hack way to play the you tube url.(Checked with logcat). I have tried changing from VideoView to Media Player but no change in the error. Is there a "Clean" way to do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought my first android phone. Everything works tip top, however there's zero audio for youtube videos and also for that other program. I forget the name, GoTv is something. Anyway, no audio with either. What's going on? I've looked through settings and even through my little instruction book and there's nothing on having to turn on the sound.

Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone? Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific? So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to do. Should be more user friendly.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the Droid by Motorola from Verizon. I'm trying to use a youtube downloader to download youtube videos to my laptop and then convert them to AVI files and drag and drop them to my SD card so that I can view them on my Droid. The problem is the files either don't show up on the card when I attempt to play them on the device if they are in AVI format or if I choose not to change the format only the audio is played by the phone so I can't see any video. Any suggestions? I know this is a possibility because a coworker has done this on a BB Tour. I had him Bluetooth transfer some files and those show and play but the ones I'm attempting to tranfer by dragging and dropping the the files aren't working.
