View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I hit the "phone" button on my HTC wildfire it brings up all my contacts on both my SIM card and in the phone memory. Is there anyway that I can see just the SIM card contacts as it shows up all of my contacts twice! When I hit the HTC people button it will just bring up a list of each contact only once, but this takes a few seconds to load.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there are any applications for free or cheap international SMS available for android (wildfire). I found a application with the name Free SMS in market but that doesn't work and get disconnected from Internet every time.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought myself the HTC Wildfire about a week back. I have a few questions regarding the wallpaper and the lock screen resolution.
The Wildfire screen resolution is 240x320. What should the ideal resolution be for my lock screen and wallpaper images?
When I set a 240x320 image as wallpaper or lock screen it appears very pixelated. However, when using resolutions of 640x480 and above, the wallpaper looks great but the lock screen is still pixelated. Also, when selecting the lock screen image I can't select the whole thing. Parts always get cropped.
Somehow the HTC backgrounds that are present on the phone don't look as pixelated although they are of a lower resolution.
I bought an HTC Wildfire. And I cant turn its internet sharing option on . I also did download and install drivers and applications of htc from htc official site.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWould like to enable repeat notifications on the wildfire so if i've missed a text /email i'll get more than the one notification sound. Is this possible ?

but for the htc wildfire any idea ?
I already own one for the htc desire and it's great, I've bought from mobilefun
I have a 1 day old wildfire and have an annoying problem with my apps and widgets disappearing from the main screens. The apps and widgets that go are the one I put on it myself. It then replaces them with the one that are on the phone from new.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHope I haven't missed anything obvious, had wildfire for about a week, all ok.Now suddenly, I can only connect either my laptop or wildfire to wifi, not both at the same time, only started happening a couple of days ago.can anyone help please?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an unbranded HTC Wildfire, but it doesn't download any firmware updates. At the moment my software number is 1.14.110.1 and I know that there's an update to 1.25.405.1. But when I want to check for Software updates it says that there are none. What might be the problem?
Is it possible that the phone is still branded but without a sim-lock? Because I get T-Mobile start up screen, but use whole other SIM and there's no T-Mobile in the country i'm from.
what's the best video format to use on the Wildfire? I have successfully used 3GP, but, the quality isn't that good.According to the official HTC website, it supports MP4 and WMV, I tried converting an .avi to MP4 using OJO Soft Total Video converter, transferred it to phone, it shows up in the Gallery, but, when I try to play it, it just displays a static picture and plays the audio. Also, the only way to put it off, is to take the battery out as the phone totally freezes!

View 5 Replies View Related1st i was thinking abwt buyin the wildfire simfree/payg at Three or Phones4u so itd cost be me about 200.
But then i started browsing different contracts, and found a 10/15 a month 24m cntracts, with reasonable packages
So at the end of 24 months, either by buying for simfree or doin contract it'd cost me similar amount of money..
So im not sure what to do? what do you think would be the best option and cheaper? what have u got? and if no then what would u do if u wer in my position ?
I have a nokia bluetooth car kit that supports voice dialing, my ancient nokia 6230i had voice dialing and I miss it on my wildfire. I see from some other threads that this seems to be an issue. Has there been any update on voice dialing on the lastest wildfire or are there any apps that enable voice dialing?
View 1 Replies View Relatedafter 2 failed attempts of installing copilot on my wildfire im assuming its not compatible? On their website its not showing the wildfire but i guess thats because the phone is just released.Have sent them an email but while I wait on reply was wondering if anyone on the forum new otherwise? Btw this is my first android and im very much loving my new toy! Screen res is not a problem (previously had N86) although the camera is the only thing im disappointed with.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am not happy with the sync thingy or it's attempt to use itunes. I wanted to get away from itunes/ Apple altogether.I have had a go at media monkey but it is a long way off filling my needs. But I have found Sony's Media Go.Media Go: Download - Sony Media Software and Services Inc.It is not perfect by a long shot but at least my Wildfire can use the playlists it creates and does a nice job on getting my podcasts in some kind of order.
The thing I miss most from my itunes/iphone setup is play count and ability to manage the correct placement of folders on the wildfire. Please can we have a discussion on your setup on this matter and what you peeps use for your media management.
When i recently installed an app (Launcher Pro) and i wanted to restart my phone to clear everything an restart all the services, so i held down the standby button and selected shutdown.Whilst it was shutting down i was turning the screen on and off (really i dont know what i was doing) and it came up something similar to what i found here but it didn't shutdown just went straight to that screen.Accept it didn't say s-off, (and had a little android robot skating )
View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently own the i7500 (grr) and looking at a new Android handset. The Desire is a bit pricey for me at the mo so looking at the Wildfire.
A few Qs-
-is the screen resolution that bad? (I mainly browse mobile versions of sites btw)
-Do most of the main apps work ok?
-how is Google Maps on it with the screen? How is navigation? Is it all clear?
-Is it looking like getting FroYo? (Looking at T-Mobile).
Applications such as LOOKOUT ANTI VIRUS do work with the wildfire. Most apps may not be available via the Marketplace so you have to download an application called 'APPBRAIN' and 'FAST WEB INSTALLER' (Basically an add on to enable downloading apps via your HTC browser). By installing Appbrain you can download apps which are not available via the marketplace. To install both apps, simply search for them via the marketplace.
Once you are done installing, You can go to Appbrain.com via your computer and log in with your Google mail account and install apps. When you click install, it will send the apps to your phone and will automatically download and install.
The other alternative is to log into appbrain via your HTC wildfire browser and install apps directly to your phone. (DO NOT TRY AND INSTALL APPS VIA THE APPBRAIN APPLICATION ON YOUR HTC BECAUSE IT WILL SIMPLY NOT WORK) Its as simple as that.
Before i purchased my phone i browsed through these forums and a lot of people were claiming apps would not work with the wildfire due to the low res screen, This did put me off a little but i went for it anyway
I have downloaded Lookout Antivirus and it works flawlessly. I have downloaded other applications and they all work.
is Angry Birds here in wildfire? because i couldn't find it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Girlfriend has the X10 mini Pro but have been having no end of problems which i kept asuring her would be fixed by upgrading to 2.1.
2.1. has come and gone and the problems are still there with even more now added.
My question is which is the best hand set? My thoughts are the wildfire as i have the desire with NONE of the problems my GF is facing. Christmas is coming and i am willing to buy her this phone if it will be worth it.
How reliable is this phone? I know the processor of the Wildfire is only 530 (around) and the sony is 600, would this be noticable?
What other diferences are there?
I also know there is no live wallpapers, anything missing from this handset, Can you (digital) zoom in the camera app?
Ive just noticed the wording in the advert for the wildfire on the CPW site is totaly wrong with regards to the screen. The wildfire screen is not AMOLED it is LCD. Naughty advertising or what?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need repack android.jar. Yesterday i read android source codes and i realize that classes have more methods than casual sdk provide.
So
1.download android 2.2 rev 1.1
2.Unjar it
3.unjar android 2.2 rev 3 from sdk
4.Replace classes
5.repack to jar
6.rewrite android.jar in sdk folder
Some classes causes warning due to missing objects. So you can delete them or replace from default. But i have problem with classes that does not been in native android.jar. eclipse see namespace of package but classes not.
Idea: because android.jar contain only empty stub classes. it is only compiler reference and eclipse use it only to know android api. So is absolutely right add stub if they exist in android system. Why android not support all api functions?
Is somewhere cookbook "how to" Create own android.jar? "Try google" is not answer.
I currently have a HTC WildfireS A510e unlocked to all network carriers with s.on and boot loader locked. Recently I have come across HTC WildfireS A510e running on I.c.s etc, I understand so far that you have to take off the protection off your phone and root it some how. Just to let you know I HAVE NOT done anything to my phone at all and it is running as normal just like the day I brought it. what to from start to finish on how to root my phone or if I need to do anything before e.g flash my phone or reset it. I've Been hearing and seeing people use different methods and software and its really confusing, i just want to know from start to finish how I can run custom roms. bare in mind i am not prepared to buy a xtc clip
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan Android version 2.3.5 be in anyway used in HTC Wildfire? If yes, I would really like to know the procedure for it.
I have recently installed a custom ROM in it which shows the android version as 2.3.3.
I recently installed cyanomod on my wildfire (buzz), but when my phone is on AC i can not turn the phone on. this can only be fixed by removing the battery and booting it without being connected to the net. Also,if i plug in the AC when the phone is turned off, the red led indicating the battery charging will won't turn off when i unplug the device.
