when i start it and unlock it i get this error "the application ..... (it does that for every single one) has stopped unexpectedly" the only thing i can do is to press *force close* and then i enter a loop of pressing that.. that leads nowhere.. in safe mode.. the same story..

I rooted my managers phone and gave her 0.5.3 back when it was the standard fresh rom. Well last night she used fresh updater I believe to go to 3.1.0.2, which I know requires a wipe but she isn't exactly savvy on all of this. In any event, after the update the phone does not load the launcher. Upon unlocking the phone it is stuck in the com.htc.launcher has stopped unexpectedly. And after force close it loops this error. I can only see the lock screen or access the phone's SD card from my PC, I can change options such as "charge only" "disk drive" "usb debugging" but that's about it. Other than that I can get to Amon Ra recovery.What are my options for helping her out with this?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have rooted my phone, tried to partition sd card although not to sure that it took since I could not get a reading on my computer, flashed xtra rom 3.0.3, was running Launcher pro and all was hunky dory although I could not get any find any of my apps. I ran a restore from My Back up and restored my apps which in turn also restored Launcher pro (again).I am now stuck in a force close loop of Launcher pro after rebooting. I have done a hot battery pull and still am stuck.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI did the offical Froyo update on my phone this afternoon. It was stock with the latest OTA update 1.47. Followed the directions for the update and it went by smoothly until after I tried setting up my phone (Google account). I did a hard reset and everything was fine until a few minutes ago. I was able to sign into my Google, Facebook and Aim accounts. It is now back to an endless loop of trying to load Sense and force closing. Of course I can do another hard rest but is it too early to assume the force close loop problem will return? My phone is not functioning and I cannot even go into the setting to turn of Sense.

All appeared to go well and successful, past the point where I heard other people's got stuck.But when I slide down the slider and put in my password, it gets stuck in a force close loop for com.htc.launcher. Seems to not be able to open sense and keeps looping round.I saw a post from someone saying they had that problem, but then they just hit the search button and got the quicksearch, went to settings, then cleared the data for the appropriate application and then it worked fine.But when I hit the search button, nothing happens. If I hold it down, I get the google voice search, but I can't seem to get to settings from there.Does anyone know another method to get into settings as I'm hopeful this will fix my problem as suggested by some others. I'd much rather that than take it back to O2.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to force ics update to my phone and it is stuck on the big Motorola M screen. ive tried to flash the update just like you would a rom and it didn't work. it was my only option cause the guide i was following was for a pc and I own a mac so the utility provided wouldn't open on my computer. after it didn't work i tried a factory reset but that hasn't done anything. what can i do? the sd card wont mount on my comp so i cant put anything on that.

Last night, one of my apps, flow free, wasn't working properly, and then it forced closed, then I think most of my apps did, like Samsung homepage, gmail, software update, android phone, log provider etc. I have a Samsung galaxy y Gt-S5360T, I haven't changed anything like ROM so I think it will still be in stock rom. After these apps have forced closed, it will turn off, we'll more its like it just turns itself on again. And then the problem just starts over. While this is happening, I can't really do anything, well when the force close thing isn't up, then sometimes I can start going into things, but never get a chance to do anything because the force close things either take me back to the home menu, or it turns off, sometimes, instead of having apps on the first page, and the call log, contact book, and messaging on the bottom, it just has the menu key, that's it. And even when I haven't unlocked it, it turns itself off and on again.
My SIM card had a problem, so I recently changed that to a blank and had it working with my old number and balance. And because of this, it was last night, I saved my contacts to my phone, rather than my SIM card.
Is there any way of fixing this( have already tried turning it off and on, and taking the battery out and putting it back in again) without losing my photos, songs, saved messages and contacts? And if not, is there any way of saving them to something else, even though my phone won't let me do anything? So what can I do?
I have a og droid. But I am Overclocked to 1200. Temple run works sometimes but it works better with my stock. I don't wanna give up my rom.

I think it started when my phone was low on memory (for applications) and I did market update with lot of errors. By now low memory errors is fixed.I tried some advices, like wipe data of that app, wipe dalvik cache, global fix permissions, disable autostart of non-system apps. Nothing worked.
i just decompiled an apk(SystemUI) from MiniCM10 rom. and again i recompiled the apk with editing a sinle file. and then i signed it and pushed to my system. Set the correct permissions and booted. But i am getting just fcs..

I've tried totally uninstalling/reinstalling it, clearing data/cache/dalvik to no avail, any pointers? or is this simply how it is now?

Just bought LG Optimus S which on sale (half price). The browser was working fine at the beginning. Root it and after that my browser kept force to close everytime i open it.

How to fix the MMS issue with MIUI V5 on the HTC One XL(AT&T version). I noticed that the One S has a fix, however I can't figure out what they are saying about replacing the framework files and what not. Since I've been using the cm 10 and 10.1 based roms (4.1.x and 4.2.x, respectively) I've noticed the DSP Manager or Awesome beats audio effects randomly stop effecting the sound. It was noted here:

That pausing and playing the audio player will re-enable the EQ effects. I normally use Google Music on the HTC Rezound running a variant of CM10.1 (4.2.2) but others have stated other devices and are doing this as well.
I just played with it by force closing the DSP manager process while listening to music. This did not in and of itself stop the EQ effects. Once I reopened the DSP manager app and again stop/start or pause played the effect was re enabled. Simply restarting the DSP manager app did not re enable the effect.
i have a samsung galaxy gio GT-S5660M Android version 2.3.4 build number GINGERBREAD.MUGKG3 (Stock rom gingerbread ) but it is rooted. ok so i was trying to free up some space on my internal memory and i was using titanium back up and i converted google play to a user app (it took too long so i assumed it didn't work) but i backup the google play. i was able to move it to sd card thought ,but then i still don't have enought free memory to receive text msg (20mb needed) so i did a factory reset which freed up everything. and i was still rooted ( i fixed it) but now google play won't open it gives me this message (process com,android,vending) so i downloaded a new com.android.vending but still won't work i tried the clear data it will open and i can search but whenever i try to download it will force close.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that whenever I introduce some new awful bug to my app and it crashes, Android just keeps starting it up over and over again. I eventually have to hit the dial button on the phone just to make my app lose focus. I searched this group's posts and the developer documents.I can't find anything about this. Is this usual behavior? If so, is there some way to disable it? Maybe it's just my coming from a desktop background, but I kind of think that when something is closed, it should stay closed, especially if the reason it was closed was that it crashed. And of course, I hope my final app never force closes, but with all the different hardware you never know.
