Aug 3, 2010I thought I'd share my experience of this in case anybody else found themselves in a similar situation whilst doing Over The Air ROM updates.So I got home from the pub last night and decided it was the right time to update my phone to Android 2.2 (hey, I'd had five pints, anything and everything sounded like a "good idea"!).For background you should know that I spent last weekend making a gold card and flashing my Orange branded Desire to the v1.15xxx generic ROM to get rid of all the Orange crap.I did not root or unlock.I checked for updates, and instead of being offered 2.2 Froyo, I was offered 1.21xxx. Curses! I know from reading on here that v1.21 breaks the wifi. However, reading through the official Froyo thread in this forum I found a post by somebody in a similar situation suggesting that by upgrading to 1.21 and then checking for updates he was able to install 2.2.That was good enough for me (yes, five pints) so, with my gold card inserted, I accepted the update to 1.21 and left it to do its thing. Eventually it finished, but when it booted for the last time it said the SIM was network locked and I had to contact my operator.

May 18, 2013I had cm 10.1, 4.1.2 and is worked ok, but from yestardy i instaled cm 10.1, 4.2.2 and have problem with my htc senstion, its turning off alone when is in my pocket, or on table for 1,2 minutes, also the battery from 100 percent to 20 for 2-3 hours on standby. i thought its because of rom, but i m last night instaled dark sense 1.6.3, and problem is the same, its alone turning off.

Aug 10, 2013yesterday i was walking to my gym, and a few minutes in it started downpouring. after i got back my phone's background light was flickering like a flourescent light in an old abandoned building. i tried restarting it a few times and eventually like 10 minutes after my last restart finished the light's complexion faded and made everything on my phone look pail. i dont know if this was because of the restart or not. anyway, i turned my phone off last night right before i went to bed, and when i woke up it won't turn on, and if i plug it into the charger, the orange LED light doesn't come up. it blinks occasionally when plugged in, but very slowly, alot slower than it's normal blinking.

Now I wanted to install the latest Android Revolution HD 6.7.0, I did everything as the list suggested I update the firmware( PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.27.1100). But when I install the rom everything goes as normal except that when I reboot in never boots into the rom, I have leave it over 20 mins, and nothing happens, I have tried several times, and I tried to restore back to version 3, everything seems "Restored" except it won't pass from htc logo again (I think it's because I have an updated firmware)
So, how do I manage to install the lasted arhd , or how do I do to downgrade the firmware in order to have it working again, I would prefer to have ICS, but I can't manage to do it, my phone is unusable now.
General :: Can't Drag Anything With New HTC Sensation Digitizer
Dec 7, 2012I bought a new screen for my HTC Sensation and now I can't drag. I can still tap stuff, but it's not as responsive. I downloaded several touchscreen testing apps and it seems like when I press the screen for more than 1 second, the digitizer can no longer detect my touch. So if I try to drag something, it works for 1 second, then the screen can't detect my finger anymore.
Is this a problem with the new digitizer or is this a software issue? I'm using ViperS 1.4.1.

Aug 20, 2013I've been following the instructions on the HTCdev website for unlocking the bootloader on my HTC sensation XE. Ive made it to the last step and acquired the unlock code from HTC. I then copied that to my computer and followed the last step "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" but I get an error message in the CMD promt "remote: unlock token check failed"
I have made sure that the .bin file is in the correct directory (c:Android).I have USB debugging enabled and fastboot disabled.

When we tried letting the initial boot run its course, the device got caught in a boot loop. And today I only made matters worse, I had my brother wipe the whole thing to where the phone won't even mount as a USB device, it just tries to install drivers and fails when you connect it. However, while in recovery, fast boot commands work. Anyways, I'm trying to figure out how to restore the phone to stock and I just can't get it to work.

Jan 10, 2014I bought a HTC Sensation Z710a from Ebay and I didn't realize that it didn't have the "normal" Android on it. I've had it for a while now, over a year and I only recently revisited the subject of my OS when I realized I hadn't been asked to update anything like my previous phone (Nexus from Vodafone). I looked into it a little and it appears I have Android 4.0.3 but "Android Revolution HD 6.6.0 XE" by mike1986?
I would like to know what the best thing to do here is, as I would like to update to the newest available Android out for my phone, and I think I would prefer the "normal" Android to the mike1986 development version (but whatever works I suppose).
Also, my battery seems to be dying a lot faster these days. Will getting a new one fix the problem entirely, and will updating the OS aid in this at all?

Jan 22, 2012I have never rooted or done anything like this before. I decided to root my tmobile htc sensation 4g. I used revolutionary? then installed clockwork recovery and in reboot at that point my data connection won't work. It will still make phone calls and texts and I can still connect with wifi but my 4g or 2g won't work. I still proceeded with installing the superuser file it said to and still nothing. It is definitely rooted. I have rebooted, battery pulled, and tried turning in and off the mobile network connection setting. I have not installed any roms etc I'm afraid to mess with it until I know what to do. eally about to have an anxiety attack. Everything else is working fine. I don't understand why just that works mess the data connection up. What can I do (of course I'd like to keep it rooted if possible).

Jul 26, 2013my htc sensation shut down yesterday, and as yet I have been unable to get it on, the battery itself was still sitting at about 15%. When I plug the phone into the wall or computer the orange led flashes slowly. When I attempt to turn the phone on it vibrates repeatedly as if trying to boot, but nothing appears on the screen. I have tried to jump start the phone, hard reboot, bootload through the pc but nothing seems to be happening.
