adb install [-l] [-r] [-s]- push this package file to the device and install it ('-l' means forward-lock the app) ('-r' means reinstall the app, keeping its data)('-s' means install on SD card instead of internal storage)

I am trying to installl android app but it gives me insufficient memory exception. i already have 35 Apps and there is 5mb internal storage left. is that mean i can install applications only upto 125MB. my sdcard is almost empty , is there any way to install my App in the sdcard?

But I found that the user could also use the "adb install -s " command to install the app on the Sdcard. Are there anyone know how to force the app installed on internal memory? View 3 Replies View RelatedI replaced my original sdcard with a sandisk 16gb card. Everything went well until I started getting these blasted read on errors. Earlymon suggested a fix from another board but I don't have a stand alone card reader so I couldn't do it that way.
I was wondering if I just backed up all my stuff from my sdcard to my iMac and then just reformatted my sdcard via the phone, would that solve my problems?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFollowed the instructions in http://developer.android.com/sdk/adding-components.html for adding 2.0 as components to an existing 1.6 SDK, from within Eclipse.
It didn't work. Not by a long shot. Instead, it got partway through and then said that C:android-sdk-windows-1.6_r1 tempDocPackage.new01 couldn't be copied because of a lock, and similarly for PlatformPackage.new01.
It said to shut down running programs, but the only program running was Eclipse, which was needed to do the upgrade.
The cancel button was disabled, and the close box didn't work. Shutting down Eclipse killed it, but left C:android-sdk-windows-1.6_r1 in a corrupted state. Restarting Eclipse showed the Android projects with errors, no SDK, and a disabled Android SDK and AVD Manager (which means no ability to rerun the install).
Shutting down Eclipse, renaming the corrupted SDK directory, unzipping 1.6 again into C:, and restarting Eclipse made it as if nothing had ever happened, which is good. But it is not possible to complete the install from Eclipse, which is bad.

I have an activity that loads and displays images from the SDCard. I create a new AVD, specify the desired image of the sd card (which has all my pictures already loaded), specify that AVD for deployment, and start the application. I noticed a strange behavior. At first, the images are not loaded; the getView method is never called, although the constructor of my adapter is called. If I close the application, and open the Gallery app that comes pre-installed, I see that the sd card folder has the correct number of images, and it 'displays' the first four. If I start my application again, those four images are displayed, and only those. If I go back to the Gallery application, open the sd card folder so that it loads all images, and restart my application, all images are successfully displayed. Any reason why this happens? I'm using SQLiteOpenHelper to assist with the database work. It's my understanding that you can't use this for DB-access on the SD card as you can't define the DB path. However, there are some (very poor) examples on the Internet that suggest you can override this limitation. However I've never gotten one of those code samples to compile.

When I run the code bellow in the virtual android (1.5) it works well, TextSwitcher shows first 80 chars from each txt file from /sdcard/documents/ , but when I run it on my Samsung Galaxy i7500 (1.6) there are no contents in TextSwitcher, however in LogCat there are FileNames of txt files.

And I am able to write contents of those files though LogCat!
