i wanted to create a dynamic multi selection alert dialog, currently it only supports for hard coded values i think ?... i have tried several ways and very much unsuccessful till now .. i am fetching the values in JSON format and converting to JSONArray. but how to input this to builder.setMultiChoiceItems, because it takes only itemId from xml, cursor, or charsequence. i tried all ways i can think of for chaging the array to charsequence.. eclipse did not showed the error but app crashed in android throwing the cast exception ...

I've done almost all things to look it like that of ICS, but now, the only thing I am stuck at is the Text Color of the Title of a dialog. I want to change it to blue like that of ICS.The above is the Dialog of the ICS Rom. Here, the text color of the Title of dialog is Blue. I have a tabhost that contains three tabs showing three separate activities. One of those activities needs to show the indeterminate progress bar on the title bar. If I set that activity as the MAIN, everything works fine. As soon as I use a tabhost to show the activity, I cannot show an indeterminate progress on the title bar for the tabhost activity. One way could be to have methods on the tabhost class that show the progress on it's title bar, but I do not know how to access those methods from outside the tabhost (for example, from another activity).

I have a custom title bar that I would like to apply to all my activities. I have searched online and found a few ways of doing that however I have ran into a problem. It seems that despite the fact I have a TextView in my titlebar with id @android:id/title, Android will not use the value defined in the manifest in android:label for each activity. I tried also calling setTitle(R.string.myTitle) but it still will not render it! If I manually put some text in my TextView in the xml it shows up fine. How can I have a custom title bar that is linked and makes Android use my manifest values for labels? I do not want to lose the setTitle() or the XML attributes functionality.
